Amanda’s life hangs in the balance when she is electrocuted. Johnny’s threats against Brad go one step too far; Brad takes matters into his own hands when the police are powerless to help him.

Extended Summary

Amanda is doing her best to be supportive as Peter goes through the worst of his withdrawals from the pain killers. In a fit of rage, Peter knocks over a lamp on the table, smashing the bulb. Amanda moves to comfort him but as she does, they both become painfully aware of the URST between them. The next morning, Peter is through the worst of it, but thinks it is best if he leave. They look to each other and things become awkward but this time they give into their feelings and kiss. Macca arrives and Peter and Amanda become a little flustered. Both try to convince each other there’s nothing behind the kiss but clearly there’s no denying they still have feelings for one another.

Peter returns home and Dan updates him on Drew’s admission that he now realises Amanda isn’t worth wasting his time and energy on and further comments on the fact she is self-centered and brings nothing but pain to the family. Leah spots lipstick on Peter’s shirt. After a bit of light hearted banter about a mystery woman, Peter does his best to cover – but all the while – Peter is being eaten up with guilt following his kiss and with Amanda. Meanwhile, Amanda is pouring her heart out to Macca who insists she should act upon her feelings. Amanda is adamant nothing can happen between her and Peter. Amanda thanks Macca for lending her his ears before he heads out. Amanda sits quietly contemplating the latest string of events. She spots the lamp that Peter broke earlier and moves over to fix it. But as she fiddles with the switch… ZAP!! Amanda is sent hurtling backwards with the electric shock. She smacks her head hard on the floor and lay lifeless. Is she alive?

It’s late at night as Brad works away in the school. He hears a noise and goes to investigate but is perturbed when there is no answer. Rattled, Brad grabs his belongings and heads to the car park. As he jumps into his car, Brad is blinded by headlights which pop on in front of him. The screech of tyres is heard as the car speeds off with Johnny waving at him as he goes. Brad is left in shock – clearly this game Johnny’s playing at is far from over. Brad heads to the police station to report the trespassing but the police admit they are powerless to help without a witness. Brad moves off feeling utterly frustrated that Johnny keeps getting away with this torment.

The next morning, Brad is coming out of the surf when Sally approaches. She immediately senses his tension and tries to comfort him. Their body language suggests there’s definite URST but unbeknownst to them both, Johnny is watching on curiously from distance. Later, Johnny and Brad cross paths and Brad is instantly on guard when Johnny mentions Sally’s name. Brad warns him to leave her alone but the sinister smile that crosses Johnny’s face suggests he’s got other things in mind. Brad returns to the school. Once again, he’s alone in the classroom when he hears a noise – but this time Brad yells out to an unseen Johnny to leave him the hell alone. Suddenly his phone rings and Johnny comments on Sally being all alone at home. As the phone goes dead, Brad’s heart sinks – could Sally be in danger?

Meanwhile, Sally is at home on the phone to Morag. Brad desperately tries to contact Sally to warn her but with no such luck, Brad rushes out of the school. Sally puts down the phone after hearing a noise at the front door, she opens the door to find a frantic Brad standing before her. Alf arrives home and the three realise it was Johnny’s ploy to get Brad out of the school. The three of them rush to the classroom and Brad is gutted to find a message scrawled over the chalk board a message – ‘Forgotten Emily already’ Brad is absolutely fuming. Sally leads Brad to the Diner to encourage him to calm down but Brad is pulled up short by the sight of Johnny sitting at one of tables. The two guys come face to face as the Diners stop and stare. Sally and Irene rush in the break them up but not before Brad threatens Johnny. Johnny steps back with a smug smile plastered across his face. Brad has just made a big mistake!
