I think its got more to do with Hayley being one of the major people on H&A and if you get someone who cant act then it will make the character go down hill, but if you have someone who can act it will help keep the character up as one of the best. I dont think it really has anything to do with looks.

I think it stands for National institute of dramatic arts.Basically it is a australlian drama school.You'll find heaps of Aussies overseas such as Hugh jackman are graduates i think.

Not really relevant to Home and Away, but Hugh Jackman went to WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts), not to NIDA.

NIDA is extremely prestigious and extremely difficult to get into. Many of the movie stars from Australia were never able to get in, and they rarely accept people until they are in their twenties.

Cate Blanchett went to NIDA.
