haaf14 Posted November 27, 2014 Report Posted November 27, 2014 R.I.P Phillip Hughes. My condolences to his family. Such a young age to go. A talented cricketer who will be sorely missed.

Jezz Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 Very sad news and an absolute tragedy to see a young man cut down in his prime! I remember when Hughes debuted in his test career at the age of 20 in early 2009 when the Aussies toured South Africa. He scored a century in that tour and was dubbed as the 'next Donald Bradman'. I didn't ever think he would reach the heights of Bradman and after that his form had tapered off but he did work his way back into the side of the years and I'm certain he would have played against India in the first test of the summer next week after captain Michael Clarke sustained an injury. It's very sad it won't happen now. I also spare a thought for the bowler Sean Abbott who must be distraught at the present time and I hope he is provided the support he needs. The reception towards him from the wider public has been very positive and I'm glad that people are smart enough to realise he was just playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. He's just a very unlucky victim in all of this as most bowlers bowl bouncers from time to time in the game. Condolences to his family and friends! RIP Also here's a picture that supporters or followers may appreciate in regards to the whole situation.
