After school that day April & I walked into the music shop at Yabbie Creek.

“Here they are” April exclaimed as she found the microphones.

“There are so many. How am I meant to choose?” I complained though I saw one that I really liked.

“I don’t know” April said.

“May I be of assistance?” asked the shopkeeper.

“Yeah I’m wanting to buy one of these for my boyfriend but I don’t know which one”

“Right. You know you look familiar. Have we met before?” he asked.

“No I don’t think so” I replied.

“Okay, so your boyfriend is he a singer?”

“Yes his name is Liam Murphy” I replied.

“Uh huh. You must be Bianca” he said.

“How do you know that?” April asked.

“Well Liam was in here the other day and he mentioned that he needed a microphone. He also talked about you and showed me a picture of you”

“He did?”

“Yeah he said he wrote a song about you. He actually played it to me. He used this microphone. He said he really liked it”

“Well I’ll take that one then” I said smiling cos that was the one I saw first and really liked.

“It costs a bit of money”

“It doesn’t matter”

“Okay” He took us over to the cash register. “It’s one thousand dollars”

“Are you sure you have that much?” April asked worriedly.

“Well not really but I have close to it”

“Okay well I have some”

“No I’m not taking your money April. I’ll just work overtime or something” I said.

“Here’s my credit card” I said handing it over.

“But Bianca” April started.

“April thanks but I know what I’m doing. I’m getting this for him. And that’s it” I said.

“If Liam comes in again looking to buy one could you maybe tell him that there sold out or something? Its meant to be a surprise”

“Sure” he agreed. “I’ll stop him from buying one don’t worry”

“Great thanks I appreciate it” I said.

“No worries. And nice to meet you” he said.

“You too” I said. “Come on April let’s go home”

“Alright” she agreed.

“Hey girls” Irene greeted us. “What’s in the bag?”

“Liam’s Christmas present” I replied.

“Which she spent a tonne of money on”

“You were the one who told me to get something big” I reminded her.

“Yeah but you didn’t have to spend a fortune”

“Uh oh. How must did you spend?” Irene asked.

“Just a thousand dollars” I said.

“Darlin do you even have that?” Irene asked.

“Pretty close to it” I replied.

“Thats alot of money”

“I know it is. But I don’t care. He wrote a song about me. I just wanted this gift to be really great. Is that wrong?”

“Well no love but”

“But what Irene?” I asked frustrated. “I love him Irene and I just wanted to do something special for him”

“Yeah so show me what you got” she finally said.

I pulled out the microphone. “He went in the store a few days ago and was looking at this one. He played the song to the guy who worked there on it”

“Well its impressive” Irene said.

“Yeah” I said putting it back in the bag.

“Now she just needs to get the rest of the money” April said.

“April, thankyou but I know that” I said really annoyed.

“I just don’t want to see you get in debt” April said.

I was getting really annoyed and frustrated with both April & Irene. “I’m not going too. Look for once in my life I actually feel loved, that someone loves me so much that he wrote a song for me. I’ve never had that you of all people know that April. I finally have someone that I can love just as much as he loves me and I just want to show that. So please stop with the money business because its really putting a damper on it. I’m going to go hide it in my room” I said.

I walked up to my room. I found a box and put it in there and put the box in the bottom of my wardrobe. Then I just sat on my bed. I needed to calm down a bit.

I walked downstairs a few minutes later.

“Where’s April?” I asked Irene.

“She went to Xavier’s” she answered.

“Oh. Is she upset with me?”

“No. And Bianca I’m sorry if I upset you before. I didn’t mean to”

“I know Irene. Its okay” I said.

We heard a knock at the door.

“Hey guys” said Charlie.

“Hey Charlie” Irene said. “Well, I’m going to go out with Will & Lily, so I’ll see you both later”

“Chou” I replied.

“So, how are you?” Charlie asked.

“I’m good” I replied.

“Leah told me you met Liam’s parents”

“Yeah they are really nice. He’s really lucky” I said.

“Okay, out with it. What’s up?” Charlie said.

I sighed. “Liam’s mum Linda. She’s so nice and warm and friendly. I wish that my mum was like that. I’ve always wished that. Liam’s family is really great and its been a long time since I’ve been with a family”

“They like you though don’t they?”

“Yes they seem too”

“That’s good then” Charlie said.

“Yeah” I replied. “My mum never hugged me so tightly or paid as much attention to me as Liam’s family has”

“Well that’s a really good thing isn’t it?” Leah appeared at the door.

I gestured for her to come in. “Yeah it is. I wouldn’t know what to do if they didn’t like me”

“I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t like you” Charlie said.

I smiled. “People have said that to me before. Guess I’m not used to it” I shrugged. “Anyway, sorry I don’t mean to be so emotional, this isn’t like me at all”

“Everyone’s allowed to be emotional sometimes” Leah said.

‘Yeah but enough of this. Do you guys want a drink or something?” I said.

They both wanted a drink. So I grabbed the bottle of wine I stashed at the back of the fridge out of Irene’s sight.

“Let’s toast something” Leah suggested.

“What are we toasting?” I asked.

“To new friendships” Charlie grinned.

“Friendships that will last forever” Leah added.

“To friendships that will last forever” we all said and clicked our glasses together.

“So do you guys want to go to Angelo’s? We could have dinner” Charlie said.

“Yeah sure” I agreed so did Leah.

We arrived at Angelo’s a few minutes later.

“Hey baby is there a spare table for us?” Charlie asked Angelo.

“There will be in a few minutes” He said. “Having a girls night?”

“Yeah” Charlie said.

“That’s good” he said and gave her a kiss that went on for awhile.

“Okay this is making me want to throw up” I laughed.

“Ha, this is nothing compared to you and Liam” Leah said.

“Yeah that’s true” Angelo said. “You guys are worse then us”

I rolled my eyes. “Is that table free?” I asked as people were leaving.

“Yes. Just wait a sec I’ll get someone to clean it” he said.

“So, have you heard the song yet?” Charlie asked me after we had ordered.

“I have” I answered.

“And?” She said.

“And what?” I teased.

“Bianca come on what is it like?”

“It’s really beautiful” I said.

“I guess we will just have to listen to it on the radio” Leah said.

“Hopefully. I don’t know if he has a deal yet. He’s trying to do that right now actually”

“Are you worried about other girls that might come on to him? Like his fans?” Charlie asked.

“I was. I’m not anymore. He loves me and I know for sure he won’t hurt me” I said.

“I wish I had that” Leah said. “Sometimes I really miss Elijah”

“I keep telling you to call him” Charlie said.

“Who’s Elijah?” I asked.

“My ex. I was engaged to him” Leah answered.

“Aw what happened?” I asked.

“Not much. He just needed to do work in Africa”

“Leah you can still call him” Charlie insisted.

“Maybe” She said.

“I think you should. If you still have feelings for this guy do what your feelings are telling you. That’s what I’ve just learnt” I said.

“I’ll think about it” she said.

My phone started to ring. “It’s Liam” I said smiling. “I’ll take it on the balcony”

I made my way to the balcony. “Hey babe” I said.

“Hey baby” Liam said. “Guess what?”

“Did you get a deal?” I guessed.

“I got a deal” He confirmed.

“Oh wow” I squealed. “Congratulations babe. That’s fantastic”

“And the song is going to be the first single” he said excitedly.

“I’m so happy for you babe” I said.

“Happy for us baby. If I didn’t have you I wouldn’t have this song. I couldn’t have done this without you Bianca”

“I love you Liam” I said.

“I love you too. I can’t wait for you to get here tomorrow. What are you doing right now?”

“I’m at Angelo’s with Charlie & Leah”

“That’s good. You can tell them if you want to. I’ll let you get back to them. See you tomorrow baby”

“Okay see you toothpick” I replied.

I walked back to the table.

“Liam got a deal” I said to Charlie & Leah.

“Wow, that’s fantastic” Charlie exclaimed.

I nodded. “I know, I’m so excited. The song is going to be on the radio soon”

“Well I can’t wait to hear it” Leah said.

“The next day after saying goodbye to April and Irene I headed into the City. I found the address of Liam’s parents house where Liam was staying and rang the bell.

“Hey Sweetheart” Linda greeted me warmly.

“Hi Linda how are you?”

“I’m fine thanks. Did you get here okay?”

“Yes it was no problems at all” I replied.

“Great, well Liam’s upstairs in his room. Second on the left” she said.

“Great thanks” I replied and walked upstairs.

I found Liam still sleeping in bed. He looked so sexy that I almost didn’t want to wake him up instead I crawled onto the bed and kissed his mouth.

He stirred. “Baby” he said sleepily. “I missed you”

“I missed you too” I said.

He awoke completely and stared at me.

“Why are you staring at me like that?”

“No reason. Its just a fabulous way to wake up” he said.

“Is this where you grew up?” I asked.

“Yeah it is actually”

I went over to where he had photo’s up. “You look cute as a young boy” I said.

“Thanks darling” he said.

I got back on the bed on top of him and started to kiss him hungrily. He kissed me back with so much passion.

There was a knock on the door and someone entered.

“Ooh sorry” Linda said as she saw what we were doing.

I quickly hopped off Liam and onto the other side of the bed.

“Mum can you please wait till I say you can enter?” Liam asked annoyed putting a shirt on.

“Darling I thought you’d be up by now” she said. “This is my house you know”

“I know, I’m sorry okay?” he said as he finished getting changed.

“Okay well I have some breakfast for you if you want it” she said.

“What about Bianca?”

“There’s some for her too. Just come downstairs when your ready”

“Thanks” we said.

“Oops well that wasn’t embarrassing or anything” I said as she closed the door.

“Don’t worry about it baby” he said. “I am just so glad your here”

“Me too” I replied. “So what are we going to do today?”

“I will take you to the studio and other places” he answered.

“Okay” I replied.

“I want to show you off baby. I want everyone to be jealous of me that I have the most beautiful girl in the world as my girlfriend”

I smiled. “Well I’m not going to say no to that” I said.

“So what are the plans for today?” Linda asked us as we walked into the kitchen.

“I’m going to show Bianca the studio and other places” Liam answered.

“That’s good” Linda replied.

“What’s good?” Lucy asked entering the room.

“Liam’s going to show Bianca the studio” she answered.

“Right. Well its pretty impressive” she said.

“I’m sure it is” I said.

We spent the rest of the morning at the studio and had lunch at a restaurant that was across the road from it.

“Are you Liam Murphy?” Some girl asked as we were leaving the restaurant.

“Why do you want to know?” he asked.

“I’m just a huge fan. I saw a video of you on youtube. My friends and I love you” she said.

I wrapped my arms around Liam’s waiste. He held my hand.

“Well thanks” he replied. “I really appreciate it”

“Can you sign my book?” she asked.

“Yes of course” he agreed.

As he was signing the girl turned to me. “Your really lucky to have him as your boyfriend. And your really pretty too” she said.

“Thanks” I replied awkwardly.

“Thanks for signing my book” She said to Liam.

“No worries” he said.

“So, are you ready for more of that?” I asked Liam as she walked away.

“Yeah I mean I have done this before. Question is, are you ready for this?”

“Yeah I guess so” I replied.

“I’m doing this for us baby; you and me, and April” he said.

“I know” I replied.

“Because you know I only have eyes for you” he said.

I grinned. “I know that too” I said kissing him.

I rushed into the Summer Bay hospital a few days later after hearing that Liam had been brought in.

“Sid” i called urgently as I first saw him. “What’s happened, where’s Liam?”

“Bianca, he was trying to break up a fight and he got hit a few times” he paused.

“And?” I said panicked.

“You better sit down” Sid said.

“Is it that bad?” I asked dreading what he was going to say.

“Well. He is in a stable condition but because he’s been hit hard a few times he is in a coma”

“What? Oh god”

“I’m sure he’ll make it through. You just need to be patient and calm”

“Your telling me to be calm when I don’t know if he’s going to wake up. Seriously? What if it was Marilyn in there. I can’t do this without him. Can I see him?”

“Not yet” Sid answered.

“Why not? And don’t say its because I’m not family. You know how we feel about each other”

“Look I’ll see what I can do. Do you want me to call April or Irene to come and sit with you?”

“No. I’ll call them” I replied.

I called both of them and they showed up a few minutes later along with Charlie and Leah.

“What’s happened?” Charlie asked.

“Well apparently Liam was trying to break up some fight and he got hit hard and now” I paused because I was having trouble speaking and breathing.

“Now what?” April asked.

“Coma” was all I could manage to get out before I started to cry.

“He’ll make it sis”

“I hope so. I really can’t lose him not so soon after we found each other. I don’t want to go through this life without him” I said through tears.

“You need to be optimistic” Leah advised. “Think about positive things and all the great times you’ve had together. It will help”

“Here darling I got you some water” Irene said handing me a glass.

“Thanks” I replied taking the glass and drinking it all.

We noticed another guy come in and I overheard the receptionist ask if he was in the same fight as Liam. When the guy said yes I got so mad because I knew he was one of the ones that hit Liam. So I walked up to him.

“Did you know my boyfriend is lying in a coma right now?” I asked angrily.

“No” he replied looking annoyed that I was speaking to him.

“He was just trying to stop you from fighting. Fighting doesn’t solve anything”

“I don’t really care” he said.

“You don’t care?? He could lose his life. I could lose the man that I love. And you don’t care at all. I can’t believe it” I shouted.

“Bianca, Bianca, come on. Leave him alone its not worth it” April said dragging me away.

“Yeah listen to that little girl. You stupid idiot” the man said.

I turned around. “I think your talking about yourself” I replied.

“Bianca, please sit back down” April pleaded.

“Okay” I agreed warily.

“Darl I’ve called Liam’s family. They should be here in the morning” Irene said.

“How were they?”

“Linda was distraught” she answered.

“I can’t believe that guy, I really can’t believe it” I kept muttering over and over.

I could feel April rubbing my back I closed my eyes and wished so hard that it was Liam doing that. I opened them again because I felt tears running down my cheeks.

“Sis” April said. I shook my head.

I heard April walking to where Irene, Charlie and Leah were sitting a few seats away.

“I’m worried. I haven’t seen her like this before. What should I do?” April asked.

“Keep doing what you are doing. Trust me, it helps” Leah advised her.

“Yeah exactly darl. She’s just scared now and in shock probably. Just sit with her and we’ll all be right here” Irene said.

“Do you want something to eat?” April asked as she sat back down next to me.

“I just want Liam” I replied.

“Bianca” Sid approached.

I looked up.

“You can see him. He’s still the same but maybe your presence might help”

“Okay” I said.

“We’ll all be right here when you come back” April said.

I nodded and followed Sid into the room. I looked at the bed to where the man I loved was lying. It just looked like he was sleeping soundly.

“You can talk to him” Sid said. “It helps to hear voices of loved ones”

I walked over to the bed unsure of what I was going to say. I just decided to talk as normally as I can.

“So you like sexy just lying here” I started. I looked back at Sid who nodded at me to keep going. “Before I came to the city I got your Christmas present. I’m not going to tell you what it is though but I know you’ll love it because its something that you really need. I know you want to know what it is so all you have to do is wake up” I said. “Please babe please wake up. I need you” I started to forget about talking normally and started pleading. I turned to Sid. “Can I kiss him?” I asked.

“Yes” Sid answered.

So I leaned in and gave him a kiss. After a few seconds I felt him kissing me back. I pulled apart and looked closely at him.

“He kissed me back” I said to Sid.

“Are you sure?” He asked.

“Yes I’m sure. I’m not making it up” I replied. “That’s good news isn’t it?”

“Yeah it is” Sid replied.

We were both staring at Liam. I was willing him to wake up and come back to me. It must have worked because not long after he started to open his eyes.

“Bi-an-ca” he said coughing alot.

“Its okay, thats normal” Sid assured me.

“Bianca” he said again normally.

“I’m right here” I replied.

“I’m in hospital? The guys were fighting. What happened?” Liam asked.

“Yes your in hospital Liam. They stopped fighting. You were in a coma for a day but you seem to be fine now”

Liam looked at me. “I heard you talking. You said something about a Christmas present. What is it?”

I laughed. “Oh no. Not telling” I said.

“Sid, so am I really okay now?” Liam questioned.

“Yes but I want to keep you in overnight” he answered.

“Okay” Liam agreed.

“Can I stay?” I asked.

“Okay but I can’t get another bed or anything like that” Sid said.

“That’s okay. She can sleep on here” Liam said.

“Okay, but just be careful you two. No hanky panky” he said. “I’m serious”

“Okay” Liam replied.

As soon as Sid left I lied on the bed next to Liam. “You scared me” I said leaning my head on the pillow. “So much”

“I know I can see the fear in your eyes. I’m sorry baby, I was just trying to do something good”

“I know babe. I’m proud of you for doing what you did. Its amazing” I replied.

“I love you Bianca” Liam said.

“I love you Liam” I replied. And kissed.

We heard a knock on the door.

“Come in” Liam called out.

“Oh thank god your okay” Linda said rushing in.

“I’m okay now Mum” he said.

“Gee you two look cute lying there. Were we interrupting something?” Lucy asked.

“No Luc” Liam said.

“Well I’ll let you guys have some time together” I said sitting up.

“Don’t leave baby. I need you” Liam said.

“Okay” I said immediately. “Do you want something to drink or anything?”

“Actually some water would be good” Liam said.

“Alright I’ll go get some” I offered.

I went outside to get the water. “You guys are still here” I said coming up to April, Irene, Leah & Charlie.

“Yeah of course we are” Irene said.

“I’m sorry that I was a bit of a bitch before. I didn’t mean to be” I said.

“It’s okay” Leah replied.

“How’s Liam going?” Charlie asked.

“He’s fine now, just has to stay overnight” I answered.

“See sis, I told you he’d be fine” April said.

“Yeah yeah smartypants” I said.

“I knew he’d be alright because you guys only really found each other” she said.

I smiled. “Well I’m staying the night, you guys don’t have to stay” I said. “But we may need a lift back home”

“Alright darl, just call me when your ready to leave and i’ll come pick you up” Irene said.

“Thanks Irene” I said giving April a hug. “See you guys later”

“Bye” they said.
