Honestly speaking, I think it is great that Tammin is doing well with her in career in Hollywood. But she is going to turn 27 years old this week and she wants to "stay in Disney forever". I don't like this idea at all. She does look younger then her age but she needs to stop doing teenybopper roles and I would love to see get a more edgier and sexier role. Her H&A co-stars, some of which are younger then her for e.g Isabel Lucas has got more roles in the big screen.

My question is why does Tammin want to stay in Disney so much? and how she get so many roles where she has to play a 16 year old in a kids TV show?

Even 90210, Gossip Girl is more maturer.

Im watching Hannah Montana only to see Tammin and its a shame because she was a wonderful actress on H&A and her skills are being wasted on a younger audience.

I have to agree (expect that I watch Hannah Montana because I find Miley Cyrus quite awesome too). And I find it amusing that on Hannah her accent is pretty good all the way up to when she has to actually say "Hannah Montana." That's when the Aussie comes through. I don't mind her on Pretty Little Liars either, but both those characters are like 16 - 21, and she has the potential to do more adult acting roles. Nothing against Disney, because it has done wonders for so many careers, but Tammin shouldn't really be aiming to do it 'forever'.

Tammin to me is a bit of a puzzle. I personally think she is a good actress given her resume of work so far in her career. For some reason though she still hasn't take that next step either on Australian television or in the United States. I mean despite being the face of the H&A franchise for four years, most reviews of her work on the show remain somewhat mixed. I'm not sure if that is because viewers found her character to be particularly annoying or if it was the first signs that she will likely be an actress that will fare well as part of an ensemble but never as a featured performer.

Her resume in the United States is somewhat puzzling too. With the exception of "Albino Farm" (A C-level direct to DVD horror film/creature feature) her work has been limited to kiddie shows and soap operas. I must admit I scratched my head when she was on "The Young & The Restless" a few years back. I mean she left Australia where she was working on a soap opera to go to America where she found work working on a soap opera. The only difference is her performance on Y&R lacked almost all of the charm of her performances on H&A. In some ways it was somewhat of a regression as well as her performance on Y&R was almost universally panned by the fanbase who campaigned to have her removed from the show.

It's just really frustrating at times to read publications like TV WEEK try to play up Tammin's US career as a massive success when it's more of a case of an actress that at one time was thought to have a great deal of potential continue to make a living off of these television shows and films which fail to showcase her talent.

But you have to take into account getting work in the business is really tough and the fact that she has pretty much had consistent work since leaving H&A is a success. If she is still being cast by directors as a teenager or early 20's, there isn't much she can do about it - in fact, its probably good thing, she can milk those roles for all they are worth while she still looks like a kid and then as she matures casting directors may be open to cast her in the gritty more serious roles.

I actually disliked Dani and she is one of those characters I'd rather forget - didnt like the storylines, the personality and couldn't even appreciate the writing really becuase it was so repetitive and bland Imo I think Tammin is quite a natural actress but I personally cant see her as a lead character in film and think she suits the roles shes been getting.

Jldraw- I agree with you, she is a very good actress and she was able to show of her skills when she was on H&A. When most stars leave H&A and go to the states they start out in maybe 2 lowbudget shows or sometimes you don't even hear anything of them and suddenly you see they are a lead in a big movie role and their career is blosomming.

Tammin came to states in 2006ish, she has been nearly 4-5 years living in the US and most of her co-stars within that time would probally find fame in lead roles. And Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Kwanten, Isabel Lucas, Sharni Vinson all found work quite quickly, they didn't have to build up on anything.

I find it puzzling too, that is a good way to describe it. Tammin had digressed from her roles playing younger and then younger. Atleast when she was on the Y&R she played a 21 year old adult & quite a big character, Eva Longoria was on the same show. I was expecting for Tammin to focus on bigger roles after she left.

I like seeing her on Pretty Little Liars. But Hannah Montana is just too childish.

If Tammin keeps getting teen roles & she wants to play younger then I would rather he be in a show like Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill not Disney shows. Whats more intriguing is that Tammin seems to have quite a childlike mind wanting to "stay in Disney forever". I still await to see her in a big role.

And Alexx, I have thought that too, maybe because Tammin is youthful looking she might have a long term career and when she is in her 30's she might be able to get the roles other 30 years old wouldn't. I can kind of see why you think Tammin doesn't look like the type to have a lead role in a movie though. She's very pretty but in an uncoventional way.

Anyway I think Miley Cyrus was Hannah Montana and Tammin doing a spinoff show of her character wouldn't be that good for the ratings.

I've just been looking at some screencaps of Tammin on HM (I don't watch the show so this is my first chance to catch a glimpse of her in this role) and quite frankly I think the time might be ticking away as far as Tammin being able to play a teenager.

I'm looking at some caps of the scenes that she did with Jason Earles and despite Earles being in his mid thirties it's Tammin who looks significantly older than him. What I'm trying to say is Earles can obviously still pull off playing a teenager while Tammin looks every bit the woman who is trying to portray a teenage girl. Just my two cents

Tammin isn't actually playing a teenager on Hannah Montana, she is playing a 21 year old. On Pretty Little Liars, she is playing 16 years old though. But it doesn't really matter in those cases because on PLL she is not the main character and just makes guest apperances, along with wearing big sunglasses 24/7 of the time so its hard for someone to actually pinpoint her age on that show.

For me she looks younger then her but she does not look like a teenager, I think she could play late teens at most or just a character in her 20's.

I would love to see Tammin in a more sophisticated and sexier role, I think her time is done for childrens TV now that she is 27. I wonder what really is her next stage in her career after she has done HM and PLL.

I see everyone's point bur maybe she's been auditioning for more adult roles but gets offered the kiddie ones. Not much you can do about it.You've gotta take what you can get.

Well this is quite an interesting interview Tammin did recently with Starry Mag, it looks like she has a contract role coming up which is pending, I wonder what that will be? it must be a TV show since it is "contract". I hope it is not Disney lol.
