Jodi Gordon's Sunset Strip Hideaway

JODI Gordon was back at work on Home and Away yesterday after spending a week in Los Angeles distancing herself from reports she was a Kings Cross strip club regular.

Before she left it is understood Channel 7 executives quizzed the actress about allegations made in Woman's Day on July 6, including she once paid a stripper from strip club Badabing in Kings Cross for a four-hour private dance.

Confidential understands Gordon denied to Seven bosses she was a regular but confirmed she had been to the club "five or six times".

The former model and actress is now set to make her first official appearance for Home and Away following her wild June 2 night out with a bikie and the subsequent collapse of her relationship to Ryan Stokes.

She is expected to join past and current cast members to celebrate the soap's 21st year at the Cargo Bar at King St Wharf on Thursday night.

She will mingle with radio competition winners plus past and present stars including Lincoln Lewis, Ada Nicodemou, Luke Jacobz, Axle Whitehead and Charlotte Best.

It will be Gordon's first public outing with cast members since her night with bikie Mark Judge, which ended with police being called to his Bellevue Hill apartment after reports it was under attack by armed men.

Since that report broke, Confidential has been informed that Stokes would regularly send an escort to ferry Gordon home after a night out.

Gordon and cast regathered yesterday to begin work after a scheduled two-week production break in which Gordon flew to Los Angeles to get away from her unwanted and new-found notoriety.

While in Los Angeles, it's understood Gordon decided the best way to rehabilitate her image was to appear gracious and polite in public - where she is now followed by photographers - as she tries to rebuild her life after Stokes ended their relationship.
