Chapter 21

Three months had pasted since the wedding. Jess had moved in with Jack and Martha was now with Cam. However, he had some secrets that Martha didn’t know about. Everyone was happy. They were all getting on with there lives. They divorce had gone thought and now they were out of each others lives. Jack never went to see how Martha was. He didn’t go to any of her scans. It was like he didn’t care anymore. But he didn’t go because he thought that Martha would not let him into the house. If they seen each other around the town but didn’t speak. They hadn’t spoken since that day where Martha introduced Jack to her “boyfriend”. Rebecca and AJ went on the honeymoon and had a great time. She had news for everyone

“I am pregnant!” she said to AJ and Jack.

“That is great news!” Jack said

“You are going to be a father, hun” she said to AJ

“I never thought I would get to be a father!” AJ smiled

He hugged Rebecca. Jack looked at how happy they were. When they first met, Jack would never ever of thought that they would get married and have kids and actually settle down. He always thought that it would just be a fling. They had come so far by now.

Martha was now eight months pregnant. Her and Cam were dating. It was going very well. Martha picked up the phone to ring him.

“Hello. Rocket club” A woman said

“Oh…Sorry I must of dialed the wrong number” Martha said

“Who is that?” A man shouted in the background

“Wrong number.” She replied

“Give me the phone.” He shouted

“Hello? Can I help you? I am the manager” he said

“Sorry…I have the wrong number” Martha said

“Martha?” he asked

“Yes. Who is this?” she asked

“Cam….” Cam replied nervously.

"What are you doing there?" Martha asked

"I have something to tell you" Cam replied

“What? You own a pole dancing club?” Martha said stunned

“Yes” Cam replied “Martha…say something”

Martha was shocked. She had no idea about this. She hung up the phone. Cam came home that night and told Martha that he wanted her to dance in the club. She said she would but Cam manipulated her into saying it. She wouldn’t start until a few weeks after the kids were born.

Chapter 22

Weeks pasted since Martha found out about Cam. Nothing had changed. They were still hopeless in love. Martha was ready to give birth any day now. It was like the babies didn’t want to come. They were nearly two weeks late. Martha woke up. She went to the bathroom. Suddenly she screamed.

“CAM! CAM!” she shouted

“What? What is wrong?” Cam asked

“I think my water just broke!” Martha said

“Ok….em…what do I do?” asked a confused Cam

“Well lets see! GET ME TO A F*CKING DAMN HOSTIPAL!” Martha roared

Martha woke everyone up. Ric, Sally, Alf, Morag and Cassie all ran into the bathroom where Martha was standing.

“Martha!” Sally said

“Where is Cam?” Alf asked

“I am here!” Cam said “Martha….which pajamas would you like to bring?”

“Get him out of here! Before I kill him!” Martha said

“I don’t think I can take this!” Ric said

“Me either” whispered Cam

“Cassie, will you get the car ready” Morag asked

Cassie walked out and Ric followed. Cam finished packing up Martha’s thing and they all set of to the hospital. Once inside Martha was put into a room while everyone waited outside. Rachel was in talking to her.

“Martha….you will have to wait a while.” Rachel said

“What? Why?” Martha asked

“They babies are not ready.” Rachel replied “I will get Ric in here”

Rachel left and Ric walked into the room.

“I think someone should call Jack.” Alf said

Jack was fast asleep lying next to Jess when he heard the phone ring. He jumped out of bed and answered it.

“Hello” Jack said

“Jack. It is Alf. You need to come down to the hospital! Now!” Alf said

“Why?” Jack asked

“Because Martha is in labour” Alf said

Jack hung up the phone and got dressed. He and Jess went down to the hospital.

“Where is she?” Jack asked

“In there with Ric.” Cassie siad

“Right” Jack said and went to open the door.

“Jack I don’t think that is a good idea” Alf said

“Why? She is about to give birth to my kids!” Jack said

“Don’t! It is scary man! I love her and everything but she is scary!” Cam said

Where did she find he? Jack thought to himself. He walked into the room and Ric left.

“How are you?” Jack asked

“Great!” smiled Martha.

“Good. I can’t believe we will be parents!” Jack smiled

“Yeah. I know. Neither can I.” Martha replied

Jack and Martha talked to ages. They didn’t notice the time go by. They talked about all the good times they had. The time where Martha lost the bet and had to do a nudie run up until the time when the got married. Jack noticed something wasn’t right. He called Rachel.

“It is time” she said.

Jack held Martha’s hand. She was so scared

“Oh Martha…..push!” Rachel said

Martha pushed and screamed so loud. The whole hospital could hear her.

“Martha I am sorry about what happened” Jack said to her.

“So am iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii” she screamed

“I didn’t ever want this to happen.” Jack said “I really didn’t”

“I know Jack. Well we are both happy now so that is the important thing. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” she creamed again

“Ok Martha one more push!” Rachel said

Martha let out another roar. Rachel smiled as she put the new baby into a blanket

“Martha! You have a baby girl!” Rachel

“Jack! We are parents! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” Martha yelled

“Ok…Baby number two is on the way!” Rachel said

“It’s a girl!” Jack said as he told everyone!

“MOTHER F*CKER! WHERE THE HELL IS JACK! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” she screamed again.

“I am here!” Jack said as he ran back into the delivery room and held her hands

“One more push!” Rachel said

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” she roared

Martha heard the sounds of cry.

“It’s a girl!” Rachel smiled

Rachel handed the babies to Martha.

“What are you going to call them?” asked Rachel

“I think one should be called Becky!”

Martha turned around and standing there was her 18 year old sister, Becky

Chapter 23

Martha was stunned. The last time she saw Becky was about five years ago. She had certainly grown up by now.

“Oh my god! Becky” Martha smiled

“Heya big sister!” Becky smiled hugging Martha

“What are you doing here?” Martha asked

“Well….I was traveling around America the past year. When I got home, mum told me everything that happened the past year so I decided to come here to see my big sister” Becky explained

”Sorry…This is my sister. Becky” Martha said

Alf, Morag, Cassie, Ric, Sally, Jess and Cam all came into the room.

“Well, well, well…..look who it is!” Alf laughed

“Granddad!” Becky smiled

“How are you love?” he asked as he hugged her.

Tony, Beth, Lucas and Mattie arrived. They all looked at the babies.

“I am going to get some water!” Becky said “Anyone want some?”

Most people said yes.

“I will help. I am Lucas by the way.” He smiled.

Lucas and Becky went to get the water while, Morag, Cassie, Ric and Sally left and went home. Rebecca arrived with two pink teddies. She gave them to Martha. Martha thanked her and congratulated her on her baby. After a while, Martha noticed that Lucas and Becky never came back. Beth went out to look for them. Outside the hospital was the two of them kissing. Beth walked back into the room

“They are outside….talking” Beth lied

“So have to thought of any names yet?” Mattie asked

“I still want one called after me!” Becky said reappearing with Lucas

“Here is your water.” Lucas said handing it to Martha

“Thanks. I was thinking about Tasha. Because I miss her so much.” Martha replied

“What about Lara?” Jack suggested

“No! I don’t like that name.” Martha said

“Eva?” suggested Rebecca

“Eva…I like it!” Martha said

“Eva it is!” Jack smiled

“What about Ava?” suggest Jess

“Ava…I like that as well.” Martha replied

“It is settled then. Eva and Ava” Jack smiled

Ok…I had to work it out. In this chapter,

- Jason is 5 years old

- Rebecca is 6 months pregnant

- Eva and Ava are 5 months old.

Chapter 24

Five months later……..

Martha was secretly working in the club for the past three months behind the bar. Becky was always minding Eva and Ava. But she was struggling a bit. Two babies and only 18 years old. Luckily, Lucas would often come and help her. Most days Jack would come and take them out for the afternoon so Lucas and Becky could spend some time together. Jess and Jack’s relationship seemed to be going for strength to strength while Martha was finding it hard to keep the secret about what she was really doing for a living. Cam didn’t know how she felt about starting the dancing. Martha went into the back to get ready for her shift.

“You look great! As always. It is hard to believe that you had two kids a few months ago” said her workmate, Kelly

“Thanks!” Martha said

“You ok?” Cam asked

“I am fine…Just a little nervous.” Martha said

“Here take some of this to came your nerves down” Cam said handing Martha a small container.

“What is it?” Martha asked

“Just some gear!” Cam said

“Cam! That is a class A drug! Are you insane?” Martha said furiously

“What? It helps! I give it to all the girls!” Cam said

“What? Have you ever taken it?” Martha asked

“Yes…once or twice” Cam answered

“What? ” Martha said stunned

“Just take it! Trust me!” Cam replied

Martha hesitated. She looked at Cam and then looked at the container. She took it.

“Now! How do you feel?” Cam asked

Martha smiled. She ran out to the staged and started to dance. She looked amazing.

Becky was at Jack’s. She brought the babies over to him.

“Thanks Becky! Do you want to come in?” Jack asked

“Sure.. Hi Jess” Becky said

“Heya. Do you want a drink?” Jess asked

“No thanks. I will only be here for a few minutes. Meeting up with Lucas, We have to talk about something” she smiled

“Who would of thought it! You and my little bro!” Jack replied

“How is that going?” Jess asked

“Very good! I have really happy with him” Becky smiled

“How is Martha?” Jess asked

“Great! Always working though!” Becky said

“Where does she work?” Jess asked

“In the Yabbie Creek. In some office” Jack answered

“I better go. Lucas will be wondering where I am” Becky said

Becky left the house after saying goodbye. She went and met Lucas.

“I have to tell you something” Becky said

Chapter 25

“What is it?” Lucas asked

“I am going home, Lucas. Back to America” Becky replied

“What? Why? Don’t go!” Lucas said

“I just have to. I have to leave this weekend.” Becky said

“But - ”

“Luc, I will be back.” Becky said “I promise”

Rebecca was getting very bad pains in her stomach. AJ wanted her to go to the doctor but she wouldn’t.

“Please! Hun! Please. What is something is wrong?” AJ said

“I will be fine! It is just morning sickness. I was like this when I was pregnant on Jason” Rebecca replied

“Mammy. There is someone at the door” Jason said walking into the bathroom

“I will get it” AJ said and he left.

“Mummy are you ok?” Jason asked

“Yes. Mummy is just a bit sick. That is all. I will be fine later” Rebecca replied

AJ walked back into the bathroom. Rebecca had gotten up.

“Who was at the door?” she asked

“Someone looking for directions” AJ replied

Jack was looking after Ava and Eva with Jess. It was nearly eight so he decided to get their things together and bring them home. He loved spending time with them.

“Right. I will be back in a half an hour” Jack said grabbing his keys

“Do you want me to come?” Jess asked

“No. It is better if you stay here.” Jack replied

“Better for who Jack?” snapped Jess. “I am sick of this!”

“Of what?” Jack asked

“You spending so much time with everyone else but me” Jess answered

“Jess! What are you talking about? I do spend time with you!” Jack said he went over and hugged her. “Listen I really have to go. See you in a little while”

It was 3am in the morning. Martha finished work and headed home with Cam. They went straight to bed. Ava and Eva were sleeping soundly in their cots. Martha watched them. She didn’t want this life. She wanted to be with Jack and they could have a prefect little family. But that didn’t happen. She was happy with Cam but she knew she would have been way happier with Jack. Over at Rebecca’s and AJ house, Rebecca woke up with a stabbing pain in her stomach. She knew something wasn’t right. She woke up AJ. She started to screamed and tears began rolling down her face. AJ quickly called an ambulance.

Chapter 26

The ambulance arrived. Rebecca was still hysterical. She was brought into the hospital. AJ and Jason went as well. In the hospital, AJ rang Jack.

“Hello?” Jack answered

“Jack…It is AJ. Will you come and get Jason” AJ asked

“Why? Where are you?” Jack asked

Jack listened while AJ explained where he was and why. Jack hung up the phone. He tired to get dressed as quietly as he could but Jess woke up.

“Jack? What are you doing?” she asked

“I have to go! Rebecca was rushed into hospital” Jack said putting on his shoes

“Why do you have to go? You always spend time with you ex’s” Jess said annoyed

“Well….Jess. I have kids with Martha and a son with Rebecca. I am sorry. But you knew what you were getting yourself into when we got together. I hate to break it to you but my kids always come first. If you had kids, you would do the same. I am just collecting Jason. I will be back soon. I promise!”

Jack kissed her and left her. She was so mad at him. He arrived at the hospital. AJ and Jason were waiting. Jason was asleep on a chair.

“Thanks Jack!” AJ said

“No problem mate! How is Rebecca?” Jack asked

“I really don’t know. They are not telling me anything” AJ said annoyed

“Right! Well I will ask. Here comes a doctor.” Jack said

“Excuse!” AJ called

“Yes.” The doctor said

“Can you tell me what is happening?” AJ asked

“I will get the doctor that is looking….Who?”

“Rebecca Matthews” AJ said

“Ok. I will be back in a second”

“Do you want a coffee?” Jack asked

“No thanks mate. Listen you can go home with Jason.” AJ said

“No I want to make sure everything is ok before I go” Jack replied

“Ok. The doctor is in with Rebecca. Would you like to go in?” the doctor said

“Yes. Are you coming?” AJ asked Jack

“No….you go. I will wait with Jason” Jack said.

He went over and sat looking a Jason sleeping. AJ came out of the room, after a while. His eyes were blood shot.

“What has happened?” Jack asked

“Rebecca…….she…lost. She lost the baby” AJ cried

Jack comforted him. He then went into Rebecca. He held her tight while she sobbed into his shirt.

Chapter 27

Three days had pasted since Rebecca and AJ lost their baby. Things were not good. Rebecca hadn’t got out of bed since she came home. AJ tired to keep it together for Rebecca and Jason. As he was so young, Jason didn’t realise what was going on around him. He carried on life as normal. Jack didn’t come home the night Rebecca lost the baby. He came home the next morning. Jess was not happy and as a result they had a row. Things were said and feeling were exchanged which caused Jess to leave Jack. It was over. Martha continued working in the club. Nobody knew what she really did. Becky was going home and Martha knew things would change. She would need a babysitter for the children. Jack would be able to baby-sit them all the time. On the morning Becky was leaving, she woke up very early and packed her bags. She went to breakfast with Lucas and then came home. Martha was awake and in the kitchen when she arrived home.

“Martha! You look so tired.” Becky said

“I am. I only got in at 4 this morning.” Martha replied

“4! Are you serious?” Becky asked stunned

“Yeah! I am” Martha snapped “Listen! I have to go.”

She went upstairs where Cam was sleeping. She headed into the bathroom. Becky followed her upstairs. She went into the bedroom. Martha was not there. Becky noticed something on the floor. She looked at it and got the shock of her life. She put it in her pocket and ran out of the room. At around midday, everyone was up and had left the house. The only two people left there was Martha and Becky. Becky sat at the kitchen table staring at what she found on the bedroom floor. Martha came down the stairs.

“Going out. Be back in a while.” Martha said

“Where are you going?” Becky asked

“Nowhere. Walk - ”

Martha saw the drugs on the table.

“Where did you get that?” Martha snapped

“On you bedroom floor!” yelled Becky.

“Give it to me! Now!” Martha roared

“I am sorry! I can’t do that!” Becky yelled “Martha? What is going on?”

“Nothing that I can’t handle!” Martha shouted

“Martha! What are you saying? You are never here! You always leave the babies with someone. I don’t think I have ever seen you with then for more than 10 minutes! You are an unfit mother!” Becky shouted

“I love those kids - ”

“No…Martha you don’t” Becky replied calmly

Martha started to cry. She ran out of the house. Becky picked up the phone.

“I am so sorry, Martha. I have to do this” she said to herself

Chapter 29

“Becky I don’t know” said Lucas

“Listen! Please. I love those kids. You do and so does Jack and Tony…” Becky said

“Why can’t they stay with Jack then?” Lucas asked

“Because…If the kids are with me…It will annoy Martha as she is so p*ssed at me. Then, I hope, that she will clean up her act and be able to get the kids back.” Becky said

“Fine!” Lucas smiled

“Great!” Becky smiled

Becky went back to the house. She told everyone her plan and that the babies would live with her and Lucas in his house. The women said that they would have to check it out and would call back the next day. Becky packed up the babies things and brought their things over to Jacks’. They would be staying there for the night. The next morning Martha woke up. She went down stairs and got a glass of water ignoring everyone like nothing had happened.

“Martha!” Morag called

“We need to talk” Alf said

Ric and Sally left the room. Martha walked back into the dining area and sat down

“What?” she snapped

“What is going on? Drugs? Pole dancing? That is not you” Morag said

“I have changed! What is so wrong with that!” she yelled

“You lost your flaming kids!” Alf shouted

“ALF!” Morag yelled “Listen….What is going on, Martha? Please. Talk to us. We can help”

“I don’t need help! I don’t need you or anyone! Now just leave me alone” Martha said as she ran out the door.

“Ok. Thank you” Becky said hanging up the phone.

“So?” Lucas asked

“I didn’t get them.” Becky said sadly

“Why?” Lucas asked confused

“Jack.” Becky replied “They will live with Jack now”

“I will go get everything ready” Lucas said

Becky looked at Ava and Eva. They were beautiful and certainly didn’t deserve this life. She hoped that Martha would come back to her senses. Soon.

“Jason! Jason!” Rebecca yelled

“Yes mummy” Jason said running into Rebecca bedroom

“You are going to daddy’s tonight. Get your things ready” she said

“Are you dropping me over?” Jason asked

“No. AJ is.” She replied.

Jason walked out of the bedroom and AJ walked in.

“What time did you say that Jason would be over at?” AJ asked putting on his shoes.

“About 6 or so” Rebecca said

“Ok. I will drop him over and then I will be going to the shops. Do you need any thing?” AJ asked knowing what the answer would be

“Yes! One bottle of vodka” Rebecca replied

“Sure! No problem! I will get that” AJ lied and walked out of the room.

“D*ckhead” Rebecca shouted at him

“Jason! I am going to work. I will be back around 6 to bring you to Jack” AJ said and left.

Chapter 30

Martha sat in the club. She was thinking what was happening in her life since Rebecca came. It had become such a mess. Jack walked into the club.

“What are you doing here?” she asked

“Just wanted to talk” Jack replied

“About?” she asked

“I think you know!” Jack said

“Ok. What have you got to say to me?” Martha asked

“Nothing really! You know this is all Cam’s doing!” he said “You would have never ever done drugs or done pole dancing if you never met him”

“I know” she agreed “Jack. I want my old life back. With me and you together with Ava and Eva!”

“Are you sure?” Jack said

“Yes! I am! I don’t want to be with Cam. I want to be with you and move back in with you and raise our two beautiful girls together” Martha said

“Ok…” Jack said

“That means!” Martha smiled “We are back together?”

“Yup” Jack replied

Jack leaned in and kissed Martha. It was the happiest they had been in a really long time. They held hands and walked to the door. Jack stopped and said

“Just one thing.”

“What?” Martha asked

Jack looked over at the pole

“Are you serious?” Martha laughed

“Yep! Go on! Show me what you do?” Jack smirked

Martha ran up to the stage and danced on the pole. Jack watched. She got down and Jack said

“We have to get one of them in the bedroom”

Martha laughed and they both got into the car and drove back to Summer Bay.

Chapter 31

Martha and Jack walked hand in hand in Sally’s house. They explained what was going on. Cam came home. Martha asked to talk to him alone. They went up to the bedroom and Martha shut the door.

“What is wrong, babe?” he asked

“It over! Get you stuff and get the f*ck out of here!” Martha shouted

“What? Did I miss - ”

“Me and Jack are back together now and are going to raise our girls together. Just get you stuff and go. ” Martha said

Cam was stunned. It was over. He got he stuff and left. Becky and Lucas called over with Eva, Ava and Jason which AJ had dropped over. They all had a few drinks to celebrate

“Becky” Martha said “Can I talk to you?”

Becky and Martha went out to the back garden

“I am really sorry” Becky said “I didn’t want to do it.”

“No. I am. You made me realised what I was doing. Saying I was an unfit mother made me realised how bad I was treating the ones that cared about me. So thank you” Martha said

They hugged and went back to the party.

AJ arrived back at the house. However the front door was opening and he saw Rebecca was getting into her car. He quickly got out of his car. He opened the car Rebecca was in.

“Rebecca! What are you doing?” he shouted

“I knew you wouldn’t get me it so I will get it myself” she yelled.

AJ hopped into the moving car. He begged and pleaded with Rebecca to stop the car so he could drive. She was not able to drive under her current state. But she wouldn’t listen. She managed get to the main road. AJ was petrified. There was a bend coming up. Would they make it?
