New to Photoshop

You cloose the layer you wanna blend (I can't add pictures to show you how, because I don't have photoshop right now) by clicking it so it's blue on the layer box. Then you click the little sirckle thats half black and half white/grey/transparent at the bottom of the layer box. Then a menu should appear, and you choose "Blending options"
