Extended Summary

Justin is frantically on the phone to Matt in the hope that Ellie has heard from runaway Raffy. He finds a concerned Phoebe waiting for him. She’s supportive, offering to help search. At the hospital Nate asks when Tori’s clocking off, but she hurries away, saying that Raffy’s missing again. Nate follows her into the lift, trying to reassure her. Suddenly, the lights flicker and the lift lurches to a halt… Stuck in the lift Nate assures a worried Tori that Justin will find Raffy, she can relax. They sit on the floor, waiting to get out. Tori receives a phone call letting her know that Raffy’s safe. The dynamic changes between them as Nate points out that they’re finally alone. Tori tells him that Duncan sent her a plane ticket to Hawaii. She tells him that she’s not going to go… Then kisses Nate passionately. Things heat up and unable to keep their hands off each other, they start tearing at each others’ clothes… Post-coital, they’re straightening their clothes when the lights come back on and the lift starts moving again. They quickly make themselves as presentable as they can, before stepping out, trying to appear normal. Tori says she’d better go and check on Raffy, but they’ll try to see each other later. They’re a little awkward, but neither can stop smiling. Tori arrives at Phoebe’s only to find that Raffy’s not there. Phoebe stops her, spotting a love bite and Phoebe demands that she spill, guessing it was Nate. Tori says it was incredible but isn’t sure whether they’re together or not… Phoebe tells her to relax and go for it. At Irene’s, Bianca takes one look at Nate as he arrives home and guesses that something happened with Tori.

Meanwhile, Raffy has gone to see Kat. She makes Kat promise not to tell anyone what she’s going to tell her, but just as she’s about to disclose the witness protection secret, Phoebe walks in. She clocks what’s going on and asks Kat to give her a moment to talk to Raffy alone. Phoebe stresses to Raffy how dangerous it is to tell anyone the Morgans’ secret. There’s a corrupt cop, so if Kat starts asking questions, they’ll be alerted and they could all end up dead. Later, Raffy’s sitting at the table having something to eat when Justin comes over. He tentatively asks if he can take her home and she concedes. She goes to get her things and Phoebe tells Justin that their secret is still safe. Justin starts to say something about the two of them, but Phoebe says it can wait, and they exchange a smile before Justin goes to take Raffy home.

At Irene’s, Bianca is certain that her marriage is over, getting worked up when a no-nonsense Irene challenges her to work harder. Irene goes and finds Heath, taking his keys and telling him that he can’t leave the Bay: he needs to fight for Bianca. With this new encouragement, Heath storms into Irene’s determined to explain everything to Bianca. She tries to leave, not interested in speaking with him, but Heath grabs her arm to stop her. He explains that he questions everyday whether he did the right thing with Gunno, but he had to in order to protect his family, claiming she would have done the same thing. Bianca’s objections are cut off by Heath snapping that he loves her and he did it to protect her, so she should cut him some slack. Bianca is left speechless to ponder Heath’s passionate plea.

Back at the farmhouse Kat speaks to Phoebe about Raffy’s earlier visit . Phoebe tries to brush it off but Kat’s not convinced. Phoebe suggests that they stay out of it, but Kat finds the family suspicious. Phoebe concedes that they are a little weird, but posits that all families have their quirks. Whilst Kat agrees, her suspicions are not abated and she later calls in a background check on the Morgan family.

Tori arrives at the Morgan house to speak with Raffy. Raffy wants to know why she wasn’t told about their history and that they were in witness protection. Raffy meekly asks whether it’s because they don’t feel like she’s a part of the family. Tori explains that they have had to lie and cover for years, a stress they wanted to keep from her. Justin tells her that he didn’t want to scare her, but they can’t trust anyone. Both Tori and Justin insist that she’s a part of the family, and they’re here if she ever needs to talk to anyone. Mollified Raffy, Tori and Justin share a family hug. Later, Tori and Justin discuss their lives. Tori wishes for it all to be over, to end the façade and go back to their real lives, the real them. Justin suggests that there is no longer a façade, who they are now is who they really are. Tori expresses doubt over Raffy knowing everything and the risk that creates, but Justin is sure Raffy won’t talk.

Nate tries to compose a text message to Tori, but quickly becomes frustrated, deciding instead to grab his keys and head for the door, only to find Tori on the other side. Tori bumbles awkwardly through an explanation as to why she’s there. She wants to discuss what happened in the lift and how Nate feels about it. Whilst he says he feels good about it, he’s playing his cards very close to his chest. Tori nervously continues, stating that she doesn’t want it to be a one-off thing, nor anything casual. Nate’s not giving much away and an embarrassed Tori worries she’s scared him off, but Nate ensures her that she hasn’t and that he doesn’t do casual either. Both relieved that the other feels the same way, the pair share a passionate kiss.

In the garage, Phoebe is working when Justin enters, thankful for her earlier help and chat with Raffy. Phoebe shrugs it off, but Justin feels bad about making her lie to her best mate. Phoebe teasingly maintains that she never lies to him, and that he should never feel the need to lie to her either. Justin tenses, knowing what Phoebe is suggesting. Phoebe tells him that last week changed things for her, for both of them, but Justin brushes it off saying that he can’t go there. Phoebe insists that they can because she loves him. At Phoebe’s declaration Justin turns and leaves, leaving a vulnerable and heart-broken Phoebe, her words of love still hanging in the air.
