Is something finally going to happen between Tori and Nate? Bianca thinks her marriage to Heath is over. The Morgans tell Raffy about witness protection… and she disappears.
Extended Summary
A horrified Bianca can’t believe Heath didn’t tell her that he killed Gunno. He tries to defend himself, and wants to know how to fix things between them. He’s willing to try anything, but Bianca’s struggling. When Heath asks whether she loves him, she simply tells him to leave. Irene finds Heath at the diner and fails in her attempt to give him a well-intentioned pep talk. Irene goes home and talks to Bianca, but she’s defensive and also refuses Irene’s help. That night, at Salt, Nate finds Heath having a drink. Nate decides to join him and Heath asks Nate if it was hard letting go of Ricky. Nate admits it was, not knowing Heath’s situation and how relevant his question is. The next morning Nate finds Heath asleep in his car. Heath covers with the excuse that Bianca doesn’t like him coming home late, but then they see her walking, and it becomes more evident that all is not well. Heath tells Nate he doesn’t want to talk. Back at Irene’s, Bianca arrives home and apologises to Irene for biting her head off the night before. Irene says she’s sorry too, she just wishes she could help. Bianca thinks there’s nothing that she and Heath can do – their marriage is over.
Brody notices Tori watching Nate under the beach shower as she helps him unload the Salt van. He teases her but she denies even noticing him. Back at the Morgan House, Raffy looks at a photo of her real mother, still angry at all the lies she’s been told. She cross examines Mason, who tries not to give away anymore than Raffy already knows, saying that they just changed their surname. At Salt, Mason tells a worked up Justin, who suggests that they tell Raffy they’re in witness protection but Mason thinks she’ll tell the world. Justin talks to Raffy. He tells her that they were trying to protect her. She’s still annoyed and Justin gives her some more, telling her that it was tough coping with the attention that the media gave them after their parents were shot. Raffy thinks there’s more to it, but Justin lies, telling her that’s it. Later, they all discuss it. Justin thinks they should tell Raffy the truth, and Brody agrees. Mason doesn’t think it’s a good idea (his own childhood suffered because of this mess), and Tori isn’t sure either. Justin thinks it’s the best option. That night, they have a family meeting where they tell Raffy that their parents were killed by drug dealers who are still after them. They tell her how much her dad Decker did for them. They emphasize how dangerous it is, and that she can’t tell anyone, giving the example of Mason telling his girlfriend Lara, and that it nearly got them all killed. They ask her if they can trust her not to tell anyone, but a shellshocked Raffy simply walks away…
The following morning, Justin and Tori talk about Raffy’s reaction, worried about her and whether she’ll tell anyone. Just as Tori’s leaving for work, Alf knocks at the door. He’s brought a letter from Duncan over for her, apologising for not giving it to her sooner – she seemed to be in a good place and he didn’t want to upset her. Alone at the Diner, Tori opens the envelope. Inside, there’s a plane ticket to Hawaii and a note: ‘In case you ever change your mind. Love Duncan x’. Before she can process this, Nate approaches, pleased to see her. He asks if she’d like to have dinner and she accepts, but asks if she can let him know when she’s free later on, explaining that they’re having issues at home. He guesses that the troubles are Raffy-related, and is understanding. As he leaves, her attention goes back to the ticket, not sure what to make of it. At Salt, she talks to Brody and Justin about Raffy. They see the envelope from Duncan and want to know what it is. When she reluctantly tells them, they think it’s huge and ask what she’s going to do. She’s unsure, and thinks she should miss Duncan more than she does. Brody cheekily asks what it means for her and Dr Nate. Tori says nothing, but that just makes Brody think there’s something going on… At the Hospital, Tori’s working when Nate approaches. They try to make plans for dinner, then Tori answers a call from Justin who’s in a panic – Raffy’s gone.
