Kat passes this on to the forensics team, who later confirm there’s coverage of the pier. As Kat and Dylan wait for the processed footage to be sent to them, Kat gets a call from her mum. This prompts Dylan to ask how she’s doing after Kat’s brother’s death. Kat opens up a little and shares that she’s struggling. At the diner, Zac is finishing giving Phoebe the rundown for her first music tutoring session back for the year. She’s got two new students – Olivia and Skye. As Phoebe moves off, Zac sees Hunter and mentions the trouble he & VJ got into at the basketball court yesterday. Zac isn’t annoyed, he just asks Hunter to let him know if there’s anymore trouble. At the music session, Phoebe asks the students to write a line for a song. Olivia and Skye giggle and collaborate, as VJ makes snide comments directed at Hunter. Later, as Phoebe puts the lines written by students together, she sings a line “the psycho who shouldn’t be here” and stops. VJ points out it’s what he can see, referring to Hunter. This is enough for Hunter to stand up and tell off VJ – he can’t quit school so VJ just needs to get over it! VJ and Hunter soon get into a fight. Phoebe doesn’t know what to do just as Zac arrives to break it up. He marches VJ and Hunter back to the house with Phoebe in tow. Zac asks the boys to tell him what happened. Neither speak so Phoebe jumps in – She says she believes the boys are just acting like brothers. Fighting like brothers. But since after all they’re family, they’ll work through it. This pulls VJ and Hunter up, leaving them unsure what to say. Zac sends them off back to school then chides Phoebe for letting two students fight in her class. Phoebe apologises, but then cheekily remarks that if her little “Brothers” speech works, Zac can thank her later. As the boys walk back to school, they cross with Skye and Olivia. The girls give it to them straight – They get that what happened was big but the boys are being idiots. They are embarrassing to be around and if they don’t grow up then Olivia & Skye will get sick of them pretty soon. The boys have been put in their place. Later, the boys arrive back at Leah’s together. Before Zac and Leah launch into a lecture, VJ speaks. He asked Hunter to come home with him so they could both say that they’ve agreed to try harder to get along. VJ’s sorry for fighting in school. Hunter apologises again for the fire but this time explains how he feels that he’s grown up a lot since being a part of this family and it’s the best thing that’s happened to him. Leah shares that the fire was an extremely painful loss for her. Hunter promises that he would never hurt this family like that again and wants to make it up to them. Leah and VJ thaw a little and Zac suggests the four of them get dinner together. They all agree.

At the diner, Kat is grabbing food as Dylan hangs back at a table. Ash & Andy walk in fresh from their bank meeting. They were rejected for the loan. When Kat enquires what the loan was for Ash & Andy tell her about the garage. Kat wonders if they could do it with fifty grand? She just got an inheritance from her brother and needs to invest it. The boys are ecstatic, but Kat says she needs to see a business plan first. Meanwhile, Dylan watches on, jealous. Back at the station, Kat’s going through the surveillance footage from the bait shop when suddenly she sees something…
At Angelo’s, Zac, Leah, VJ and Hunter are all having dinner. Leah tells Hunter she’s been thinking about what he said and Hunter reiterates he knows he needs to gain back their trust. Leah agrees, but thinks that will be hard without him living at home. So maybe he should move back in. Hunter’s stoked but checks with Zac and VJ – they both agree. Just as things seem back on track, Kat and Dylan arrive. They head for the counter, straight for Kyle, but suddenly they stop at Zac’s table. Kat says Zac needs to come with them. What was on that footage?
