Brax’s return rocks Ricky and Nate’s relationship. Dylan sets out to prove that Ash killed Charlotte. Have Phoebe’s feelings for Ash changed?
Extended Summary
Ricky wakes up to find Nate looking after Casey, but can’t bring herself to tell him about Brax’s return. Nate gets ready to go home with Ricky and Casey, but with Brax about to visit, she makes up an excuse to keep him away. Nate understands, although something doesn’t sit right with him. Back at home, Ricky finds Brax already there, and he’s humbled as he holds his son again. Ricky’s heart soars as she sees Brax with Casey, and Brax offers to take her and Casey away again. But when Nate unexpectedly arrives home Brax is forced to hide in the bathroom, leaving Ricky to try and get rid of him before they get caught. Nate can tell something’s up, and Brax emerges to save Ricky from spinning more lies. Nate’s stunned, as Kyle comes in and gives Brax a hug.
Brax moves outside with Kyle and explains he thought it was best if everyone believed he was dead. When he tells Kyle he’s going to disappear again, Kyle promises to look after Ricky and Casey. Nate has trouble believing Ricky’s story, but Brax comes back in and takes responsibility for the whole mess. Ricky, Casey and Kyle watch Brax drive away and out of their lives. Ricky turns to see Nate, and wonders if she’s losing him too. At the beach, Ricky admits to Nate that Brax tried to kiss her, and tells him that she’ll always love Brax – but not the way she loves Nate. She promises to never lie to him again, and still wants to spend her life with him. Nate says he wants to as well, but is he telling the truth?
Keen to speed things up with Phoebe, Ash asks if she wants to grab a coffee, but she makes an excuse and heads off. Kat tries to find out what’s happening with them as Dylan watches her with Ash from a distance, and thinks they’re flirting. They spot Dylan, and Kat assures Ash that she’ll be fine. Later Ash bumps into Phoebe and asks her if she’s avoiding him. Phoebe explains that she’s just taking things slowly, and Ash understands, although keeping their distance isn’t easy. Dylan finds Billie setting up for a class, and tells her he suspects she and Ash could be in on Charlotte’s murder together. Rattled, Billie finds Ash and tells him about her run in with Dylan. Ash goes to Dylan at the police station and warns him to leave Billie alone. As they get in each other’s faces, Kat breaks it up. Ash stalks off and Dylan can’t hide his satisfaction, leaving her wondering what he’s really playing at. Kat asks Dylan if he’s targeting Ash because he had a go at him last week, but Dylan counters by checking if her personal relationships are getting the way of her objectivity. Kat buries her suspicions, and Dylan tells her their next move is to bring Phoebe in. When Phoebe arrives Dylan interviews her alone as he looks for holes in her statement. He puts the pressure on Phoebe, and she eventually let on that Ash wasn’t with her the whole time after the wedding reception. Dylan finds Ash and roughly arrests him on suspicion of murdering Charlotte. How is he going to get out of this?
