Extended Summary

Chris finds Irene up early, still deeply troubled by Olivia’s revelation, and unable to tell him what’s wrong. Chris backs off, and will respect Irene’s warning to leave Olivia alone.

Still blind, Josh is helped into his room by Andy. Dr Griffin thinks Josh’s speech will start to improve soon, but the tests show no progress with his sight. Andy’s concerned as Josh struggles to deal with his new reality.

Alf and Roo have a cuppa on the way to the airport, and are glad to see Jett back in the Bay. Jett asks Leah about her wedding, but she admits they’re still quite unorganised. Leah finds Irene in the kitchen chopping vegetables with the knife dangerously close to her fingers. Leah offers to help her with Olivia, but Irene’s dismissive, leaving Leah taken aback by her odd behaviour.

Dr. Griffin tells Andy that he must begin to prepare the house for Josh’s return, and consider that Josh’s eyesight may never come back. Hannah arrives but keeps her distance, leaving Andy wondering if he was right to push her away.

John knows Jett is hiding something from him, but Leah thinks Jett will tell him when he’s ready. Jett returns and asks John if someone can join them for lunch at home, and possibly stay the night but Jett won’t reveal any more.

Hannah meets Evelyn for lunch and updates her on Josh. Evelyn’s sad, but surprised Josh is going home so soon. She guesses that Hannah will be around to help, but Hannah points out that things have been a bit weird with Andy. Evelyn’s confused, but Hannah won’t talk about it.

John grills Jett about his friend as they get lunch ready, but there’s a knock at the door – it’s a girl called Skye. John’s stunned as Skye enthusiastically introduces herself, and Jett sits her at the table.

Evelyn asks Chris if he knows why Hannah’s keeping her distance from Andy. Chris pretends he doesn’t know, but can’t help feeling for Evelyn. Meanwhile in the kitchen, Irene stuffs an order up. Leah tries to find out what’s wrong, but Irene snaps and storms out. Leah finds Irene on the pier and tries to comfort her. Opting for a half-truth, Irene admits that life just got on top of her. Leah accepts this but as she goes, Irene’s look clearly shows there’s more going on.

John learns how Jett and Skye met, and when she goes to the bathroom, Jett tells him they’ve been together for a while, but he didn’t say anything to avoid being interrogated.

Evelyn visits Andy and helps him install computer software to aid Josh’s recovery. Andy can see that Evelyn’s overwhelmed, but doesn’t know how to comfort her. Meanwhile at the diner, Chris makes sure Hannah’s not giving Andy space because of him. Hannah covers – she just doesn’t want to get in the way as a know-it-all nurse. Chris goes into the kitchen, and Hannah admits to Leah that Andy’s still in love with her. Leah thinks she should tell Chris, but she doesn’t want to create more problems.

Andy helps Josh with speech exercises, and manages to get him to say “Andy”. But his excitement is quickly shut down when Josh follows it with “I’m scared”. Josh starts to cry, and Andy holds his head.

Alf arrives back at the diner from the airport, and finds Irene slightly out of it. Leah bursts in and announces she can get the wedding venue she wanted for the original date! Irene excuses herself, and Alf is concerned. At the tables, Chris gets a text that his Dad’s out of rehab, and the family will have a celebration at home. He invites Hannah along, but understands if it’s too intense a way to meet the folks. Determined to commit, Hannah agrees to go with him.

Andy tells Evelyn that Josh spoke, but can’t bring himself to tell her about Josh’s breakdown. Evelyn’s elated, and Andy tries to cling onto her hope.

Skye offers to help with dinner, but John wants just wants her to relax. John and Jett banter about sleeping arrangements, but as Skye and Jett move onto the couch together, John notices their urgent whispering. What exactly is this girl’s story?

Leah’s happy to hear about Chris’ dad, and is surprised to learn that Hannah’s going with him, but reassures him it’ll be great. Chris doesn’t want to abandon Irene and Olivia, so Leah promises to keep an eye on them. Over at Irene’s, she struggles to keep it together as she hears a man’s chilling voice in her head. But what is Irene remembering?
