Extended Summary

Charlotte lies to Matt and tells her the blackmail situation is now over. He offers to support her if she ever finds herself in trouble again, as Charlotte worries that her nightmare has only just begun.

Soon after, Hunter comes in, back a day early, and catches the two of them together. He’s horrified that his mother is sleeping with a student, and explodes. Matt tries to explain that they like each other, but Hunter doesn’t want to hear anything from either of them. Charlotte tells him she’s going to keep seeing Matt, but just not flaunt it around, and asks him to keep it quiet.

Later, Matt kisses Charlotte on his way out, and Hunter walks in, still mortified. After Matt leaves, Hunter promises to keep Charlotte’s secret to himself. Charlotte reassures him that he’ll always be her number one priority, and Hunter agrees that they’ll always be a team. However, when Hunter later goes to pay his phone bill, he discovers his entire trust fund is gone!

When he confronts Charlotte, she’s forced to admit she had to use his money to pay her way out of trouble. She refuses to tell him why, causing an angry Hunter to tell her he’s fed up – how many more secrets is she keeping? He storms out of the apartment, telling her he’s done with her.

Meanwhile, Trystan tells Gunno he’s got the money from Charlotte. Gunno tells Trystan it’s time to put her into play – but what does he have planned?

Marilyn is forced to continue hiding the fact she doesn’t want to go through with the renewal of her wedding vows, as John continues to be excited.

Roo and reveals that she’s broken up with James, shocking everyone. She admits that James had been lying about his parents being alive, and that’s when she knew it was over. Irene, John, Marilyn and Alf all offer her support.

Roo’s admits that she’s feeling a lot better after admitting she was wrong about James, telling them she should have followed her instincts and always knew something was wrong. This makes Mariyn feel even worse, worried that she’s ignoring her own feelings and that she can’t be honest with John.

Kat is stunned as Nate breaks up with her and confesses he wants to be with Ricky. She kicks him out, not wanting to hear any more.

Later, she’s seen drowning her sorrows over the breakup, as Ash arrives in search of Phoebe. As she’s not there, Kat invites Ash to have a drink with her. She tells him what happened with Nate, and he admits that he and Phoebe knew about Nate’s feelings for Ricky. Kat is upset, but Ash argues it wasn’t their place to say anything, as Kat pours herself another glass of wine… Soon after, feeling even more sorry for herself, she passes out, clearly struggling to cope.

Nate tells Ricky that he’s broken up with Kat. As they embrace, they’re interrupted by Kyle and Ricky is forced to explain the situation to him. He thinks it’s messy and is unimpressed by the whole situation, making Ricky realise not everyone is going to be happy about her and Nate. Nate tries to convince her that it’ll all be okay as long as they want to be together, but as Nate exits, Ricky’s gaze moves towards a photo of Brax.

Later, Kyle visits Ricky to check everything’s okay. He asks her if she’s feeling weird trying to move on from Brax, and she admits she is. She doesn’t think the photos help, and puts one in a drawer, trying to put that part of her life behind her. However, at Charlotte’s house, Trystan arrives and tells Charlotte he thinks Brax is still alive, and that she’s going to help him draw him out!
