She had wanted to go yesterday but she thought it would look bad. When she got there she found out that Leah was not alone peter was there as well (he had told Leah the lie that Amanda had said about Clare and Dan sleeping together.) Mean while Dan had decided to brave it and go to the diner to get take-away for the three of them and the first person hem meet when he got there was colleen who treat him no different then she normally did so he now that no one else know about Amanda’s lies at least not yet. When Clare heard this she decided to take Ali for a walk after breakfast as it was not fair keeping the little girl inside all the time. Thy managed to miss everyone for most of the walk but Clare’s luck ran out just before she got home as 5 minutes from the house she met peter. For a few moments they stared at each other down before they each went to move when all of a sudden Ali spoke to Clare saying that she wanted to go home because Uncle Dan said he would show her how to make ice-cream drinks. On hearing this peter turned to Clare and said uncle Dan is it in a sarcastic voice. Before Clare replied to this she sent Ali to play in the sand a little way away from tem so she wouldn’t hear what Clare was going to say. Once Ali was playing in the sand Clare turned to peter and told him not to say anything in front of her daughter and then peter said that all he said was uncle Dan, that all he was wondering was why the kid was calling Dan uncle when he was the kid’s father. After peter said this he turned to leave and Clare didn’t try to stop him to tell him the truth she was in shock, Pete really thought Dan was Ali’s father, thought before he got to far away Clare stopped him and asked why he said that, why he thought Dan was Ali’s father. He said it was obvious all you had to do was look at the kid and then look at Dan’s son Ryan; it was obvious they were related and with that he left. girlsrulz44 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Share Posted December 23, 2005 Once Clare got home she told Dan what peter had said and it finial made since why peter and Leah believed Amanda’s lies It was two days later when Dan next saw sally there was a meeting for all the staff (at school) and through out the meeting Dan stayed away from her but just as he was leaving the building after the meeting sally stopped him telling him they needed to talk. Once they were alone Dan started saying that he know that she was Leah’s friend but she had to believe him, everything Amanda was saying about him and Clare was lies. He thought she was going to say that she believed Amanda too but he got a shock when she said she didn’t. She also said that Irene didn’t believe Amanda either and that they would do anything they could to help him expose Amanda. When Dan heard this it was like a heavy weight was lifted off his shoulders. They talked for a while more to see if they could come up with a plan on getting rid of Amanda but they couldn’t so they decided to met the next day at Clare’s and sally said she would fill in Irene on everything. When Clare heard about sally and Irene and the fact they were coming over to help them expose Amanda she was a little scared as she didn’t how they would react to her, they were Leah’s friends after all.
