I said Mattie, because those two grew really close after everyone else left Summer Bay.

I always thought that Belle and Cassie had a pretty close relationship, so she would have been my second vote.

Nicole was only really a close friend towards the end.

Rachel and Belle didn't have a very close relationship, because of the age difference, she was more like a mother or sister figure.

Belle and Mattie definitely. Although, Belle and Nicole formed a nice friendship before Belle's death, her relationship with Mattie was more realistic cos it was built up over time.
