Actually now when I think about it, she kinda did have a story like that when she went off the rails when she blamed herself for killing Robbie, Belle, Martha, Kit and Kim... I mean like doubting herself as a doctor, second guessing herself and getting so paranoid until someone dies (major char hopefully) and then she goes and does course to reskill herself.
