Diesal confessed that he had made the allegations up and Sally went to see him at the police station. He confided that he missed his mother, who was dead, and wanted Sally the fill the gap. Flynn called Sally from the hospital and she persuaded Diesel to let her answer it, she managed to make him realise all was not right, and within one scene he's entering the house without a hair out of place or even breathing heavily as if he'd ran from the car!
