Quote of the Day:
"We are aborting ourselves out of existence" -Danna Vale
Meanwhile, Seven must have a small wardrobe department, or someone was trying to see if anyone would notice...
So I just downloaded des' recording of tonights episode, and I'm greeted with "Thanks for watching Melbourne's Channel Seven"
What the?
Here in Sydney we get "Thanks for watching Channel Seven"
Does Melbourne think they own the network, but are too scared to try and say it anywhere else in the country?
They do realise that Channel Seven is shown in every capital city in Australia don't they?
Not only that, it's incorrect. Seven's network headquarters are in Pyrmont in Sydney's CBD.
It's happened to mine too. It was always the 7th May and now it's the 8th...
And I have over 5000 posts (shh 72 over I know, but I only just noticed it!)
I so agree with you!
The same can be said about mothers day, fathers day, australia day, ANZAC day etc.
Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day have turned into heavily marketed and commercialised concepts aimed at getting people to spend money and buy things that they wouldn't do on an everyday basis.
The retail stores survive between seasons on these days.
May and September in Australia.
Oh my god... OK, for some random and unknown reason I just visited the Today Tonight website, and on the right hand side of the page they have a link "do you want to be on Today Tonight" where they will phone you and ask you to appear in their stories!... so half the stories in the show are probably fake afterall. http://www.todaytonight.com.au
Yeah but even funnier was the blooper reel where she was laughing at the fat people in the stories and coughing "bull****" under her breath to peoples remarks...
Anyway, that's reminded me of this site I came across earlier. As many Aussies will know, Channel Nine recently changed their logo, dropping the nine dots. See what they got up to after they were sacked: http://www.ninehasnoballs.com/ (Please note that this contains mind adult content. I rate it M15+)
haha when I was a young teen my mum used to tell me if she thought I should dump or keep my girlfriends based on whether or not she liked them....
So lame and embarrasing lol...
