  1. Agree completely, sadly you're right that his heritage would work against him too. It's true he could take care of himself, I just meant it would be an added target if you like.
  2. A lot of people tend to start 'ex-ing' or 'soon-to-be' if the end of the relationship has been caused by a bad thing, i.e. deception, infidelity fairly early I think, partly because the wronged party is often hurt and wishes to disassociate I think. Agree with everything re: Tane and prison hierachy...pretty boy plus child crime twisted = big trouble. Flick, thank your lucky stars it wasn't the divorce lawyer, then you really would be on a sticky wicket with how it looked! Thanks for that, Dan F, wasn't 100% certain as I think it has to be 6 months before it's official separation, rather than divorce, my mistake. I did giggle at Leah and Justin building the desk for Theo but I liked the gesture, almost like a 'key to the door' moment.
  3. I don't know about Aus but I think here it's 6 months; Harper was right though, Flick is the wrong person to shoe horn here as it was her grenade that started it originally, Tane isn't actually even at friend stage yet. She and Mac are as bad as each other really when it comes to lies. Also, I think Tane had a point about the prison thing, two things would count against him even though they shouldn't; 1) His skin and 2) His gender. I'm glad Tane set Mac straight on the lying thing, he knows full well what it's like and, though she can't remember right now, so has she. 'In my head I knew I was right' Try a bit lower honey, hehe. Though, in some ways, I sense Mac could be cooling a bit. Often it's the thrill of the chase and the risk of being a naughty secret is the bigger attraction. H&Alover, it's likely Justin would've done similiar with the anger management but also during his own drug addiction maybe? I tink Theo is doing a good thing with letters but, in some ways, I kind of hope he tries to pay the money back too, that would prove his maturity too. Actions and words do good for both and those around you when mistakes are made.
  4. I meant to say this about yesterday's ep; John is like a relationship magpie isn't he? I was both laughing and cringing! Go Eden! Loved when she slammed the door in Mac's face, her pathetic simpering right now is an embarassment to all womanhood and her blindness infruiating; we all know if any one of her (Mac's) Dad's bimbos had turned up she would've reacted in exactly the same way. Also loved Levi's shock when he realised that Eden wouldn't roll over and be tickled either, let's hope she sticks to it; I mean she should report him to his bosses really as he's broken the code of ethics as, though she isn't in hospital anymore, Mac is still a patient on his service technically so it's still a no-go. No way should Justin have read that, nuh-uh, big own goal; I'm glad Theo though is doing the assignment, one o the hardest parts is the talk/apology part but it can pay big dividens ultimately.

  6. Good point H&Alover about residents where films/TV shows are shot, it isn't always the meal ticket eveyone thinks, it can end up having very much the opposite effect, the locals lose out to tourists etc. Oh that 'double date' was beyond awkward, I was squirming so bad, it actually did feel uncomfortable; Nelson does seem nice, unlike Stevie..actually wish the stalker was still at large, she is insufferable. I feel for Eden, wall-to wall emotional punches are hard to take whether you're dealing with your own or cushioning someone else, Imogen in this case, especially if you're on your own to deal; I get the impression most of Imogen's friends would be 'married friends' so wouldn't necassarily be the right kind of support, whereas Eden is a 'Levi Survivor', she's walked that road of loss and betrayal before but from a different angle so would get all the feelings right now. I understand her being angry at Mali but I think, more than anything, she's angry at herself for not sticking to her guns and trusting her instincts and letting herself be swayed by Levi, Cash ec. because, sadly, she was spot on and now she's standing there like a fool, picking up the pieces yet again.

  8. Definitely no sympathy for Levi...his snivelling I'm sorry and I'm worried about you are truly as Imogen said...meaningless. The best thing she could do now is change the locks, block his number and straight onto the lawyers! Seeing the preview I do feel sorry for Eden as she's bearing the brunt, as she originally was duped into this, hopefully she and Imogen can patch things up.
  9. Didn't like Theo's tantrum one bit, if he hates his aunt's attitude so much go back to Mama, Bucko, don't worry they'll soon be another thirst trap I'm sure. Valerie was merely another patient, it was the therapist's mainly that helped Leah; also the level of Valerie's problem it's obvious being coddled at 'home' would be just a gateway to her staying addicted because I don't think Leah especially wouldn't be strong enough to deal with her tantrums, she'd give in. Valerie sounds as if she needs a secure drug rehab to be deprogrammed and also give her structure to stay clean, be it through councilling and/or a weaning program. Leah did say one thing which I think is very true when she said about no matter how much you want to save someone, it has to come from them to actually work. Yes, handing herself in was the least she could do but, until she is at least honest about whether she wants to recover or not I think it's better that she would stay away, especially for Theo as he's only ever really defined himself by his relationships with others not just girlfriends, being Dad's victim etc too, doesn't actually know much about himself yet. I'm glad Remi did give Theo a talking to, it's all very well cooing ooh poor baby but his choices affected others who, given the choice, wouldn't want anything to do with that sort of habit and puts them at risk. Aw, John, he looked so pleased when he got Alf's compliment and Justin and Leah's testimonial...though he really does need to learn boundaries!

  11. Perhaps but equally they take can a storyline deemed serious for a woman but if the man suffers the same thing it's seen as a big joke or they'll get over it which isn't right either. As Eastenders Sonia/Reiss fertility storyline pointed out. Sonia cant concieve = Audience going awww poor Sonia needs a baby. Reiss (her boyfriend) has fertility isssues = Audience going Hahahahahaha Reiss isn't maa-an, he can't make her pregnant, what a joke. Petty but that's soapies generally I think sometimes. With Valerie for example, her type are 10 a penny, she isn't likable because of her petulant attitude and it's everybody else's fault but mine spiel. I think Leah has got to put her family first not some random she knew for a week or two who would ultimately cause them nothing but grief. Also, I think Valerie hadn't hit that rock bottom yet that tends to be the turning point, until you get there help is pointless because you still can kid yourself you're in control hence the 'I need a family to be clean', it's an illusion not a cure unfortunately.

  13. I am glad Leah kicked Valerie out, saw through her lies entirely; she doesn't want help, some addicts genuinely don't, it's true but she needs to be alone for that. She'd be a danger to Theo as co-dependancy is a very slippery slope. I liked the scene with Cash and the staler, good bit of adernaline there!

  15. ^True, read that this morning, her brother and sister the same, poor scraps. I feel for Eden here because she knew in her gut she should never have let Levi back into her life because he would hurt her again and Hey Presto! here we are. She owes him nothing so if she'd wanted to tell Imogen she could have done but then again Eden is in an impossible situation there as she'd still have to take the flak for him where Imogen was concerned. She got pulled into the lie without consent. Pot, kettle Flick? You and Mac are exactly the same; you both lied and schemed to try to get your own way and it blew up in your faces. They both gave as good as they got mind, I was half-expecting screeching and hair-pulling! Mac did once have self respect, clearly that has looooong gone, the way she's trailing after Levi. Back with Planet Rocket and the Red Brat, of course she's never going to own up, lying's second nature and she is no victim, it's all been a choice; Justin & Leah and the other memembers of Lyrik are though. I found Theo really irritating and Valerie pawing at him just embarrasing really.

  17. H&ALover, I did shed a little tear too; I've loved the Tane/baby scenes throughout despite their reasoning! I think as well with the consequences now, the thing that has struck for a fair while in many aspects and certainly in his submissiveness now to his fate as it were whether there's an element of depression/PTSD from all his previous traumas manifesting itself here too..
  18. One thing I'm glad was mentioned was that Mum would be monitored, it's clear that she needs support and the safe and care of the little one is the only thing that really matters, any of the adults feelings should have little bearing. It's true Tane wouldn't have hurt her and I can also understand why Rose didn't say anything to Mum until DNA test was proved, she could've been just anyone so I think Sarge was hard but I'm also getting the 'not only a woman but a brown one' vibes from him. Theo you are thinking with your rocket and not your brain, Valerie is incapable of loving anything but her drugs, it is the nature of the addict; I'm glad Kirby gave him a serve and was honest about it can't be made up; he can screw up his life if he likes but don't take everyone else down with you. Line of the day had to go Eden when arrested; 'Oh great (!) An interview, something else he excels at', so true but it had me in stitches!
  19. I loved the wedding, the whole thing was wonderfully set and Leah's dress was lovely; loved John and Tori dancing...Danncing with the Stars beckons for Mr Palmer, hehe!
  20. H&A, I'd still be calling her Maia if it didn't get everyone's knickers in a twist, hehe!
  21. Agree, wondering if in part it's Mali's, though valid, inbred prejudice to the police in general at play there. I don't condone Tane's actions at all but do agree he wouldn't hurt the little one, (I can't call her Poppy, my Mum's cat was called that and every time I hear it I think of a grey and ginger ball of fluff!) If Sonia is Bubs mum I would hope that social services do keep a monitor on her for a while, in some ways, because although she's changed her mind now, she's still in the same position as she was when she left her i.e. working and no emotional support also if there is an element of postnatal depression too and it wouldn't take much sleep deprivation for her to feel trapped and possibly consider the same thing again.Always what's best for Bubs first, whther it's Mum or foster, as long as she would be safe and cared for would/should be priority.

  23. Valerie whining 'Let me live my life'; by all means dearie go crawl into the gutter but don't drag everyone else with you. I think Kirby did the right thing telling Justin because it does affect everyone sadly.I think I would've reacted the same way Justin has, can also understand both his and Kirby's POVs re: Leah, Rock meet hard place. I'm glad Rose did mention that the Mum doesn't atuomatically get her baby back and that she has to be assessed first in both mental capacity and money/support as, though the fairytale is Mum and bub together. there can be scenarios where Bub is better off elsewhere, I don't know about in Aus but I know in the UK on occasion abandonment of a minor can be sometimes investigated as an offence.

  25. As I say, day behind again this week so... I felt sorry when Imogen was talking to Eden about Levi..she knows something's up and, in some ways, I wouldn't be at all surprised if she does already know he's cheating but doesn't want to admit it to herself. (There's a very well known story about star from the Golden age Debbie Reynolds, she sensed her husband was having an affair so confided in friend Elizabeth Taylor about...she was the one having the affair with Deb's husband Eddie.) I got the same vibes from that convo with Eden/Imogen, though Eden only knows he's lying not an affair but I'm surprised she hasn't had suspicions considering his easy alliance with their dad!
