Ash doesn’t think someone who isn’t even Luc’s family should be able to tell him when he can or cannot see Luc. Ash worries that Leah might stop him seeing Luc altogether. Kat tries to assuage his fears – everybody is grieving and it’s a messy situation. Ash thinks Leah is the one making things hard. Ash sees Irene at the Diner. Irene’s not impressed that he’s had an argument with Leah, but when she reveals Leah bit her head off this morning too, Ash explodes again, what’s Leah’s problem?! Irene says Leah is just tired, it’s not intentional. Irene doesn’t think going round to Leah’s guns blazing will help anything, but she might have a better idea. At the house, Ash apologises to Leah for earlier, but Leah’s not in the headspace to do this now. VJ asks what’s going on and Ash admits he told Leah that she wasn’t Luc’s family. VJ is furious! After everything Leah has done for Luc and Billie… VJ is Luc’s father! Ash yells that’s he’s Luc’s uncle! Irene tries to calm the situation. Irene and Ash want to work out a way to help more, they’re not judging VJ and Leah. They don’t have to do this alone. Ash just wants to be part of Luc’s life. Leah just wants to put Luc into a routine. Irene reiterates they don’t have a problem with how Luc is being looked after, but they want to relieve the stress on Leah and VJ, and sure, they’d like to get to know Luc a bit. Maybe they could each take Luc one day a week. Leah doesn’t think that could work, what’s Ash going to do, put Luc in his caravan? It will just make Luc unsettled. Ash offers to just take Luc for a walk, small things, just to give the Pattersons a break. Leah leaves it up to VJ, but she thinks they should say yes. Later, Irene and Ash arrive at the diner, pleased VJ and Leah have agreed to give Ash and Irene more time with Luc. At the house, VJ has got Luc to sleep, finally.
