Extended Summary
Larry’s invitation to the Anzac Day service sends Aden into a tail-spin. Aden’s furious that his father would even suggest it given what he’s been through with his grandfather. Rachel and Roman try to talk Aden around and help him see that going to the ceremony might be a positive step forward for him. However, when Aden doesn’t come home that night, Roman worries they’ve pushed him too far too soon.
Nicole goes to the service with Roman, and is moved by seeing the effect it has on him. Everyone is surprised when Aden turns up. It seems Rachel and Roman’s encouragement has had a positive effect on him, and he’s making an effort to move forward and confront the demons from his past.
Meanwhile, Matilda’s fretting over the fact Ric has come down with the flu on the day of his big fight. Jazz accompanies them to the tournament so as to give Mattie some moral support, and makes a shocking discovery – Mr Bartlett has come along to watch the illegal fight. She approaches him and suggests he leave before Matilda or Ric spots him. Mortified that he’s been caught out, he gets out of there fast.
As the time of the fight nears, Ric and Mattie make the shocking discovery that Ric’s opponent – Logan – is a member of Johnny’s gang. Ric’s life is on the line!
