Mrs Bishop Posted October 27, 2011 Report Share Posted October 27, 2011 Spring Racing Carnival Star actor Nicholas Bishop returns for flying Cup visit BODY of Proof star Nicholas Bishop is heading home from Los Angeles to attend the Melbourne Cup. Bishop, who plays Peter Dunlop on the popular crime drama alongside Dana Delaney, has been given a four-day leave pass from the production to make the trip Down Under. Bishop, who made his name on Home and Away before finding success in the US, will not bring his family with him to join racegoers. "I have not been to the races for a while; I think the last time I was there was in my Home and Away days," Bishop said. "I am looking forward to dressing up and catching up with people, and being part of what is a great, iconic Australian day. "I know very little about horse racing, but there is no way you can go to the Melbourne Cup and not have a flutter." Bishop will arrive in Melbourne on Sunday and head back to LA on Wednesday.
