Because I Want To “ [ Screened in Australia on Fri 20 Aug 2010 – Episode # 5145 ] FARM Indi is rather surprised when she sees Dex doing some pushups. She tells him that girls aren’t so interested in a hot body – it’s more about brains & a sense of humour. She also suggests that he work to his strengths. VPH Miles & Alf are talking when Peen arrive. He tells them he thinks Nic is losing it – as she thinks peen planted THAT needle. FARM Sid is intrigued that Dex seems to be into his homework than usual [when Dex is aurally writing to Marilyn]. Dex covers by paying aits a creative writing assignment. VPH After Miles phones Ruby [looking for Nic], Nic arrives. They know bout the needle planting story, Nic canlt velive ity ta they donlt belive her. FARM After Dex finishes writing to Maz, he sensually/creepily licks the envelope shut. He then sprays after on the envelope. MAIN BEACH NEXT DAY – Peen exits the water and sees Indi, he tells her that Nic rally need her friends right now. VPH Alf & Maz can’t believe that Miles isn’t sure who to believe. Nic is still annoyed they all don't believe her. After Nic bails, Maz & Alf both verbally attack Miles, insisting that he talk to Nic. FARM After Sid returns of his morning run, hell’s still quite surprised bout how much effort etc Dex has put into the creative writing thing, Dex comets love make you do crazy ting – but covers by saying it’s a love of literature that he is refer to. NEAR DINER Nic is annoyed when Peen approaches. He point at he keno that Miles doesn’t really believe Nic, and he is doing all of this [toying with ppl] “because I can. Because I want to”. As Nic bails, he reamrks SBH is the other way [to the direction she is going]. FARM Sid is surprised when Nic arrives – but is please when she tell him she thinks Peen is unhinged, SURF CLUB After we see Dex’s [dreamy] version of Maz entering the room, we cut back t reality. He gives her the letter he writes to her, insisting that she read it. Maz is intrigued – esp. teht it’s scented, NEAR SURF CLUB Alf confronts Penn – saying he‘s a lying scumbag and for Peen to leave town. Peen counts this – buy telling Alf “watch who you call liar, old man”. FARM Nic is VERY glad Sid believes her. They hug, but it gets backward when Indi arrives. SBH Miles wonders why Dex is still at schol today. Dex says he’s on detention, but miles see tough that story. Dex tells Miles hell’s done something stupid. Mile tell Dex it’s probably bigger in dex’s head that in reality. Miles adds that he [miles] should take his own advice. FARM Indi tells Nic & Sid she believe them [that this isn’t a rpt of lat year] as she comments Peen is creepy. Both Nic & esp. Sid are pleased Indi believe them. VPH After Nic arrives, Miles tell her he NEVER should have doubted her. They hug, SURF CLUB After Dex goes into dream mode bout Maz reacting to that letter [i.e. she love it and starts removing his clothes], we cut to reality. Maz tells him it was VERY confrontational. He covers by saying that it’s a creative writing ex for school – and that he got the response he was hoping for. Alf ents the room, and although Maz is ken to talk to him but he goes straight to the store room. We se that his hands are rather sore. HOSPITAL After ambulance officers wheel in a badly injured [hands & face all bloody] patient, Sid sees that its Peen – who tell Sid that Alf did this.
