JosieTash Posted August 14, 2010 Report Share Posted August 14, 2010 My UNOFFICIAL title for this ep, ” Charlie Confronts Ruby ” [ Screened in Australia on Fri 13 Aug 2010 – Episode # 5140 ] MAIN BEACH With workmen “sweeping” the beach behind her, Charlie is on the radio. She tells whoever she is speaking to [at the police station I’m guessing] that there’s been no sign of other needles in the latest search. After the radio chat end, Charlie tells the workmen to stop the search. DINER As Peen reds an article in the city papers bout the needle stick injury etc, Irene & Colleen wonder how the [city press] sound out. They then approach Peen – with Colleen esp. coomsti8ng on how mush of a hero etc that Peen is. NEAR SURF CLUB A reporter called Megan is interviewing Alf & John bout the sitch. They insist they’ve done all they can – as they can’t control what everyone does and that can only react when nothings like this happen. When Megan comets on other recent trouble in the bay, John tells her this ins't a bay of death, it’s a bay of love. After Megan bails, John tell Alf wonders bout ye bay of love ting – and john tell him it’s a lot better headline that the other [bay of death]. NOTE – nice touch, the bay of love line in the script [given that that is the line that Channel 7 used in its promos for H&A this year]. BEACH NEAR DINER Ruby is keen to give Charlie a present [not for her birthday, just beau of everything they've both been through over the last few months]. She asks Irene for suggestions. Although Ruby likes her 1st suggestion [a bottle of wine] Irene tells her to ignore that – as Ruby isn't old enough to but alcohol. Irene suggests something like a book or a voucher top the diner - whish Ruby suggest is a conflict of interest. DINER Sid gets all flustered and deliberately off topic [i.e. he talk bout acne – and cures for it] when Indi tells him she is ken to do something bout Romeo and his virginity. NOTE - Indi worded that better that I did but it was understandable [and kinda hilarious] the way that Sid reacted. ANGELO’S RESTAURANT Megan talk to Angelo bout what’s going on and at every possible opportunity he “plugs” his restaurant - incl having the reporter take a pic of him & Indi wearing “Angelo’s” caps that have never been refereed before. When Megan is gone, Charlie arrives. Angelo tells her that he is looking at this needle stick media coversheet positively [i.e. using it to advertise the restaurant]. SBH Ruby asks Indi for her help with the bottle of wine she want to get Charlie, but Indi isn’t so keen. She tells Ruby she will think bout it. When Romeo approaches, he wonders what they are talking bout. Indi tells him it’s was nothing. After Romeo & Indi talk bout how Nic is struggling with the side affects of the med treatment, Romeo asks Miles if Indi can stay the night at the VPH [in Romeo’s bed, with Romeo far away on et couch], Miles denies the request. Liam enters the corridor – with Megan following him. She ask him queriers bout the bay’s issues AND Liam’s own drug problem. Miles intervenes – telling Megan “no comment” sevral time. She bails. HOSPITAL Sid is surprise top see Marilyn, but she is her to make up for what occurred recently with Dex [the picnic mix up]. Sid is ken to get Marilyn involved in what Indi talked to him bout this morn – as it’s the kinda of things that Indi’s mum would have dealt with. SBH Liam [because of Meagan’s questions] speaks to Ruby. He wonders bout the night she got drunk. Ruby insists it was a one off, but Lima dent look convinced. DINER Megan is the latest woman to fall for Penn’s charms. She tells him its great he is so concerned for Nic, and that he isn’t just telling her “spin” bout the sitch. When Megan bails, Alf, Colleen * Irene are concerned when Peen says he not only contacted the city papers but a TV stations as well. NEAR MAIN BEACH John & Alf talk to Peen bout what’s occurred. He apologises for contacting that TV station etc, but as he walks away, Peen [of course] has a grin on his face. John & fall concur they've got to put a positive angel on this, or the Bay will be “sunk”. Elsewhere, Liam tell Charlie bout Ruby getting drunk. Charlie is VERY annoyed he didn't tell her bout this sooner. SBH Ruby talk to Indi, telling her not to worry bout the wine request [as Ruby has changed her mind]. Indi though agrees to do it - and Ruby dent decline the offer. When Romeo approaches, he once more gets the talking bout nothing response form Indi. He’s clearly concerned. Ruby is at her locker when Charlie arrives. Charlie SLAMS the locker door shut – wanting to talk bout Ruby getting drunk. When Charlie asks, Ruby tells her she got the alcohol from a guy she hadn’t seen before. Charlie is keen to talk further – but ruby insists she doesn't want to be late for class. Ruby walks way. HOSPITAL Marilyn & Sid talk bout Romeo/Indi. She suggests Miles should be involved. NEAR SURF CLUB Colleen, John, Alf & miles talk bout the press stitch – incl colleen suggesting the press should be focusing on Penn’s heroism. Miles gets a phone call [from Sid or Maz] bout Romeo. DINER Romeo is rather surprised that Sid, Miles and Maz are all waiting for hemi when he arrived. Romeo has no idea what Miles & Maz are talking bout whet they comment on how he’s always been safe & responsible etc. Sid makes it VERY clear what this is about when he vehemently says “don’t sleep with my daughter”. After Romeo bails, Miles & Maz comment on how smooth Sid just was. ANGELO’S RESTAURANT When Charlie talk to Angelo bout Ruby getting drunk, she takes a comment of his to mean that she “dropped the ball” with Ruby. Behind the bar, Indi sneakily slips a bottle of wine into her bag. NEAR SURF CLUB Indi gives Ruby the bottle of wine – but only after Ruby insist its not for her/Ruby’s not going to drink it.. Charlie sees the exchange and is a BEYOND not impressed with Ruby.
