suzannelgnz
From Stuff.co.nz Link Sydney Morning Herald 05/06/2009 Charges are unlikely to be laid against a Home and Away star after police were called to the Eastern Suburbs house in Sydney she was in following false reports that five men armed with guns were in the backyard. Jodi Gordon, 24, was reportedly at the Bellevue Hill unit of a 29-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon when the pair contacted police to report the armed intruders. "About 5.30pm a 29-year-old man contacted triple-0 to report five armed men in the backyard of his home in Birriga Road at Bellevue Hill," a police spokeswoman said this morning. "Police from Rose Bay local area command immediately rolled up. However, after a search of the area and talking to neighbours, no evidence was found to support the incident." Police also reviewed video footage, but there was no evidence of any armed men. Police would not name the 24-year-old woman at the man's unit, but News Limited said it was Gordon. Gordon was questioned at Paddington police station but released. The 29-year-old man, who reportedly was a suspected bikie, refused to be questioned. It was also reported by News Limited that the pair conceded to police they had taken drugs on the day of the false report. The police spokeswoman could not confirm this. "All I can say to you is they reported five men in their yard, which police could find no evidence of," she said. Police could also not confirm reports that Gordon had earlier been reported missing. "She was not reported missing to police as far as I know," the spokeswoman said. Despite the false report, no action was likely to be taken against Gordon or her male friend. "[They would not be charged] if they honestly thought five people were in their backyard, however they came to that conclusion," the police spokeswoman said.
