I think most of it was the BBC trying to make something out of nothing though he did refer to her as a mate and that she was like a boy with boobs (cos she kept making dirty jokes and saying dumb stuff) The BBC also tried to make an issue out of Mark getting frustrated when he had to dance but it didn't really stick its all about ratings.
