Step Up starlet Sharni Vinson steps out * From: Herald Sun * August 10, 2010 12:00AM AUSTRALIA'S latest rising starlet, Sharni Vinson, stepped out to support her fellow Aussies at the Teen Choice Awards in LA. Vinson appeared at the awards on the arm of her Step Up 3D co-star, Rick Malambri. It was a long way from Summer Bay with the former Home and Away hottie also posing on the red carpet with soccer star David Beckham. Vinson's Hollywood star is on the rise. She is working on the sequel to Blue Crush, the film that launched Kate Bosworth's career, and has landed a role in action thriller No Man's Land. Vinson watched as a swag of Aussies won gongs at the awards, including Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski for best TV female actor in an action role. Mia Wasikowska's battle with the Jabberwocky in Alice in Wonderland won her the nod for best fight. Sam Worthington snared best actor in a sci-fi for Avatar and Liam Hemsworth won best male breakout actor for his role in The Last Song. His girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, won the award for best love song for When I Look At You. Aussie crooner Keith Urban was judged best male country artist.
