Tribute to Sally Fletcher

Kate,

What can be said? - To say thank you for the past twenty years doesn't seem enough to be honest. Myself, along with millions of others, have had the joy and honour of being able to watch you and Sally grow up on screen.

We've all laughed and most certainly cried with you, loved, cared and encouraged Sally to become the incredible friend and mother she is now.

I have, and may well never again, become so immensely emotionally attached to another character in a television drama again. It has been an immense honour to have been able to emotionally invest in Sally over the past twenty years, as I have done. You've said how she's always been your constant in life, well over the past two/three years she's certainly been mine. You and her have allowed and encouraged me to get through one of the toughest times of my life, for which I will never be able to express how deeply grateful I am. I e-mailed 7 at the time, and no doubt you would have been told about it.

Which leaves me to say, may the future for Sally be a bright and safe one, but may it especially be that for you.
