8-10 Points: 2010 Most Popular Character

If the last update was quite elongated, this was is short and snap. We're out of the bottom half and the field from now on usually has a group of people voted for them and generally the characters are more interesting... though this group does include Lucas. After this update we're just six updates away from knowing who has won and who has lost.

40=. Lucas Holden (10 points)

As my spiel above might inform you, Lucas wasn't my favourite character. To be honest his stories never particularly inspired and I didn't think his acting was particulary anything special either, which made it a surprise to me that Black Balloon didn't go down like a lead balloon with his starring role in it.

40=. Cassie Turner (10 points)

One of that gang that Lucas was part of, Cassie again slots around the less popular part of it. The clockwork orange, would generall meet up with a guy who was bad for her mid-year, then break up early in the next year, going back to Ric or helping girls who were getting beaten up.

42=. Hayley Lawson (8 points)

I've always had a love-hate relationship with Hayley. In one way, Bec Cartwright's loyalty to the show until she married multi-millionaire Lleyton Hewitt stood out, but on the other hand her acting started very ordinary and she generally had less interesting storylines and then she was given Paternitygate where she was replaced by a Kit Hunter look-a-like.

42=. Sophie Simpson (8 points)

Or is it Sophie Dean now? From 2002, the recurring appearances of Blake and Sophie re-vitalised this early nineties love-story (I have never seen an episode with Blake and Sophie as a couple in the early nineties; how long were they together?)

Next up, we look at those in the 30's in what seems quite a death-prone bunch.
