3 points: 2010 Most Popular Character

At the current moment, Britain's political gridlock has passed, but it's still a few weeks till we know who is the winner of our little poll. As we move on up, we look at those characters who managed to score 3 points at the crowded bottom end of the table.

70=. Frank Morgan (3 points)

morgan.jpgOne of the interesting things that I wondered about this poll, coming about 100 episodes into the repeat run on SevenTwo was how some of those original characters would fair, now that their storylines were getting a re-airing. Whether they'd suddenly shoot up the ratings, or whether it actually hasn't made the slightest bit of difference. Certainly, none of the guest characters from this first batch of episode haven't made any impact (indeed Nico Pappas lost his vote), but I will post later on a deeper look at the results of those original. So to be Frank, the re-runs haven't really boosted Mr. Morgan

70=. Kim Hyde (3 points)

kim.jpgAnother character that seems to have fallen, and it perhaps one of those that shows the passing of time for us relatively new viewers. We complained as "The Plank" got storylines in 2004, his acting improved, he got votes in these contests, he left and Chris Hemsworth now earns squillions in Hollywood

70=. Nick Smith (3 points)

Dodgy acting to begin with, left what seems like ages ago. Now raking it in the US of A. Do I suddenly feel like I'm repeating myself?

70=. Barry Hyde (3 points)

hyde.jpgIsn't it strange to see father and son, who rarely say eye to eye, so close together in this listing and again like his son, he's slipped down the rankings from where he was once a great favourite of those that cheered on Irene and Barry, to the point where he is merely a footnote at the bottom of the listing.

70=. Indigo Walker (3 points)

So popular from her it appears, that she might be getting a return, though she only gets 3 points, but then again there is many a character that will get 0 points, so where does that leave her. Is her popularity just hype or is she well received, but just not up there in peoples top five? time will tell.

70=. Robert Perez (3 points)

One of the shows legendary villians from back in the day when they usually were kept to just one every year or two. Went after the Nashes and Gypsy in particular, abducting her, and burning down the house at approximately the same time as Tom Jones.

70=. Johnny Cooper (3 points)

One of the most intriguing things about Mr. Cooper scoring points, aside from the parallels with Eve, is that he caused so much harm to a "much loved character" to use Seven PR babble. Maybe someone agreed with him and wanted rid of Sally. Any way he gets some votes proving, that when the mists a'rising and the raining is falling, Johnny, we remember you!

70=. Eve Jacobsen (3 points)

Another of mid-noughties crew who was once a great favourite amongst the fans, but whose position has now went to one of just a couple of fans holding onto their memories. Who can forget the chaos she caused the bay in early 2005 as Dan Benett set about changing the show, Like all good things, it ultimately went on too long and we were left with the sour memory of 2006.

70=. Lachlan Fraser (3 points)

A rather bizarre one, IMO, as I would have struggled to see Lachie getting 3 points when he was on the show in late 90's and he was certainly not a patch by Sam Kratz, who wasn't exactly crash hot either.
