Welcome to the second Summer Bay News. There has been a really big response to issue one. I have been receiving e-mails from people saying they love the web site and can't wait for issue two. Thanks to everyone for their kind comments. I now, of course, need stuff for issue three! This issues' quote comes from quite a while ago when Shannon was trying to find out about Emily Broadhurst (Simon's grandmother) after she discovered the aeroplane. She phoned a lady in England who only wanted to know what was happening in Neighbours. That was the first time Neighbours was mentioned in Home And Away! Well, without further ado, here's issue two!

INTERVIEWS

Well, I don't think you're going to believe this one! It started off as a normal chat but I then realised I was chatting to someone in Australia! So this interview contains some spoilers for readers in England!

EDITOR: Do you watch Home And Away?

HOPE: Sometimes yes. u? You like it I guess!!!

EDITOR: I write Summer Bay News, the world wide web newsletter for H&A. Would you like to help?

HOPE: Yeah cool

EDITOR: When did you last see it?

HOPE: Yesterday

EDITOR: Did you like the storyline, with Rebecca and Donald arguing?

HOPE: What happened to Pippa??? Are they arguing about the baby business?

EDITOR: What about Pippa? What baby?

HOPE: Pippa had an accident remember? Is she still alive? The baby Marilyn wants and Donald doesn't.

EDITOR: Are you in England?

HOPE: Australia. You are in England aren't you?

EDITOR: WOW! I'm in England. We're three months behind. Please go on! What happened to Pippa? What else is happening?

HOPE: Well Shannon had a boyfriend and she dumped him but he has never been dumped so he got mad! Well pippa tried to save Shannon, well... He hit Pippa and she fell! Now I think she is in a coma in the city!

EDITOR: Really? That's amazing. I didn't know about that! Do you know if she recovers?

HOPE: I have no idea.

EDITOR: Oh. This is really great! In issue one of my newsletter the poll question was 'do you like Donald Fisher?' Do you like him?

HOPE: Nope not really.

EDITOR: Oh. No one has said they do yet!

HOPE: Well his mother comes back, right, and he is so mean to her but she is the sweetest person!!

Special thanks go to Hope (Samantha) for telling me all that stuff. That's the first time I have ever found out what happened in Australia yesterday!

That's great that you got you're News thingy going - I would look at it but I'm really new to the net so I'm still figuring how to use it, but as soon as I can - I will!

I've been trying to make sure I watch it - especially for you! And soon I will send you some more stuff on it. Sorry my last one was so negative I was just in a bit of a depressed mood!

E-MAILS ABOUT THAT BACKGROUND!

KERRY: Great idea. Only problem I have is the background. I found it quite difficult to read the text with the background as it is. Thanks.

ADRIAN MURPHY: I went and had a look at the page. Good ! But, sorry to be a critic, can I suggest you take away the background cos it makes the text rather difficult to read. The text and overall "read" is good, very interesting.

JEN TILL: nice page by the way..except as lovely as the background is it kind of distracts u from the text.

Well, as you can see I have changed the background. I hope that makes it easier to read! - Editor

JOSH DARVILL: You have a great newsletter and I hope you keep it going.

WHY I HATE DON

Donald has no heart. When Steph died and Liam was upset, he spent a lot of time sitting at a tree and thinking. Don got angry at him for it. Also, in the 1st episode, he got up Frank and Steven for looking around the school grounds on the holidays.

WENTWORTH: I think Donald is a great character, and he has gotten even better since marrying Marilyn. We know he has a heart - after seeing him reuniting with his daughter, Bobby, and allowing Casey to stay at his house. Also, Donald has had a hard time in life, what with the death of his son Alan, and his daughter, Bobby, he has never really let it get him down for too long. Also, I think he can be quite funny at times as well! Three cheers for Donald!

I really enjoyed the site! It is great! I can't wait for Issue 2!

JEN TILL: on to the donald fisher issue..well i think him and marrilyn compliment each other..i mean, sure hes pretty awful on the outside but he wouldn't make a very good headmaster if he wasn't :} we get glimpses of the "other" side to him when marilyn finds that novel he wrote at uni, and even just when hes around marrylin, especially when they were "getting to know each other" doing all those intellectual things to "improve" marrylin..and marrylin has a more serious side too, which we see when she comforts people and now when she really wants a child..they might not look it, but they go well together :}

There are some very varied opinions about Donald Fisher, which is just what happened in issue one! I have a feeling this Donald Fisher argument could go on for a long time! What have I started?! - Editor

TRIVIA ANSWER

The answer to the trivia question in issue one was FLOSS McPHEE. She used to live in a circus van with her husband Neville at the caravan park.

Correct answers came from JUDI, KERRY, JOSH DARVILL, ALAN SHADE, and ADRIAN MURPHY.

I also accepted FLO as a correct answer for her name! Adrian Murphy informed me that I called the picture 'floss.gif' which gave it away a bit!

JEN TILL remembered she was the fortune teller who warned everyone that bobby was bad news and "saw" that something bad was going to happen to carly because she was with bobby..she and her husband owned a caravan. But she could not remember her name, nice try anyway!

TRIVIA QUESTION
