jessica_r Posted July 17, 2005 Report Share Posted July 17, 2005 Bec tells all, but not about the wedding By Danielle Teutsch and Holly Byrnes July 17, 2005 - 12:26AM The Sun-Herald Her young fans admired the engagement ring and asked about the dress, but, with just five days to go before her big day, Bec Cartwright was yesterday keeping mum about the details of her wedding to tennis star Lleyton Hewitt. Former Home And Away star Cartwright, 21, spent the day giving a group of young girls tips on breaking into show business at a workshop organised by the magazine Total Girl, with former Idol performer Ricki-Lee and actor Isabel Lucas. The bride-to-be, approaching the six-month mark in her pregnancy, is starting to show her bump ahead of Thursday's wedding to action-man Hewitt, 24, now playing in the Davis Cup quarter-final against Argentina in Sydney. But Cartwright seemed totally relaxed. Dressed in jumper and jeans, she signed autographs and chatted happily to fans. But when one young girl asked what she planned to wear to her wedding she answered "No idea", with a grin. Mosman schoolgirl Felicity Light, 10, said she was thrilled to have spent the day with Cartwright. "Bec's really pretty. She told us to follow our dreams and not let anything get in the way," she said. Details about the Cartwright-Hewitt union are being closely guarded, but a few titbits are starting to leak out. Bridal designer to the stars Vera Wang is understood to have been the first choice for the all-important gown, but the dress had to be shelved months later after Cartwright's pregnancy was revealed. With her growing girth, she has settled on Alex Perry, who can be on hand to make last-minute fitting adjustments. Perry has created the white gown, while spectacular bling earrings, featuring 250 diamonds, pink sapphires and South Sea pearls, will add extra sparkle.
