dropped down to 8.7 now, it was freezing at school, I went to the library at lunchtime because its heated :)

Lol, it's the opposite for me. I went into town yesterday and was trying to find shops with air conditioning because it was so hot outside :P

It's supposed to be up to 37 degrees today - but in direct sunlight it will feel around 50

Some roads are melting and gritters have been brought out to spread gravel. Many schools have had to be closed due to extreme weather conditions - a status usually saved for snow!

We're hotter than Cairo, Malta, Barbados, Athens and various other exotic places!

It's hilarious how this country falls apart in any extreme weather! :P

I suppose that, because you dont get that much hot weather you are not as prepared for it as we are, with airconditioning everywhere etc?

But the same with us and winter, you guys are probably heaps more used to the cold than us!

My grandma complains about our weather, "too cold" and she came from England, where it was colder...!
