It did cross my mind that Alf might have been storing the compass on the Blaxland at the time of the landslide: He already owned it in 2000, right?

Don sold it to Alf in 2001, though I think he already had a financial interest in it anyway.

If not there, then Alf could have stored the compass in a safety deposit box... alongside his photos of Tulip, letter from Martha, and numerous other things that have cropped up over the past two decades ?

Roo didn't help matters by giving an exaggerated second hand account of what Tane did at the club: Did she even talk to Ryder and get his version of events, or did she just embellish Felicity's relatively mild account on her own?

Yes Roo annoyed me so much. Next time any member of her family is in trouble Tane should tell her “no I’m not helping you out you threw me under the bus have fun on your own” I would just to spite her she so deserves it!

Well, I can understand him not keeping Martha’s letter in the house with Ailsa.

The stairs at the Surf Club seem to come upstairs at an even stranger direction than I assumed.

Seeing Marilyn with her hair down was strange as aside from her late 90s hairdo I don’t think I remember her not having it up.

I initially thought Amber had been bad mouthing Ziggy to Jai.  Have to admit, I laughed at the way Jai was with Ziggy and the way she overheard him not wanting anything to do with her afterwards.  But I did feel a bit sorry for her and quite liked how they got on once Dean had spoken to him and how Dean was smiling when he was listening in on them.

Alf normally doesn't back down but he did with Leah.  I don't like the idea of Theo sticking around but once again it's hard to disagree with Leah's argument about second chances given how Justin was acting before.  Luckily Irene was able to talk her around so he's not moving in.....yet.

She saw Tane go off at Felicity at the Surf Club.  It wasn't just her - Alf stepped in, Chloe confronted Tane about it right afterwards and even Ryder was sympathetic towards her and raised concerns to Chloe when they were discussing it later on.  So other people thought Tane was fairly heavy handed.  Roo then sees Felicity a few days later, puts her hand on her to get her attention Felicity jumps, terrified of Tane who's staring her down at the beach.  Felicity tells Roo Tane turned up at the club where she works (although Felicity seemed to acknowledge he came to get Ryder) so to Felicity given what's happened between them that's still a cause for concern as he's been to the same club before.  Roo sees Felicity at the Diner, invites her to spend time with her and Martha and they are on friendly terms.  Roo sees Cash after his/Jasmine's short trip and presumably thinks Felicity has already spoken to him, given that they are siblings so asks how she is.  Roo doesn't owe Tane anything.  They aren't friends, simply know each other and Roo doesn't really stand to gain anything.  Roo's acting from a biased position out of concern for a friend.  Kind of like Mackenzie being biased and is firmly on the - Felicity is stalking Tane and followed me to me car - camp.  The only thing I don't like about Roo's interaction with Cash was that she omitted the fact Tane went to the club to get Ryder although Felicity seems to have done that too now when she told Cash.

Roo straight out lied to Cash about Tane for no reason she told him that Tane turned up at the club to see Felicity no he didn’t he went their to get Ryder which Roo knew the truth about and straight out lied to a cop about what happened knowing the real truth! That’s on Roo plain and simple! Felicity also lied to Cash and told him the same thing!

Firstly it wasn't for no reason.  Roo was concerned about Felicity.

Putting that aside, Roo asked Cash how Felicity was and if she had sorted things out with Tane.  When Cash asked her about it she said Tane turned up at the Surf Club and was throwing accusations around then he went to her work place and created a bit of a scene, Felicity got upset and called security.  All of that happened.  What she didn't do was mention the fact that he went to the club where she worked to pick up Ryder.  He created a bit of a scene because he got into a disagreement with Felicity when he first came in and because of what happened when he was helping Ryder up, just before security were literally about to escort them out anyway.  Roo did not say he went to the club just to see Felicity.  It's giving a second hand account but I don't believe she straight out lied.  Tane was incredibly stupid going to the club in the first place and when he got the text, should have just asked Ari to go instead.

Similarly, Felicity did not lie to Cash. She said Tane went off at her in front of everyone and accused her of following Mackenzie to Mackenzie's car.  She then mentioned that Mackenzie kicked her out of Salt, Tane was showing up at her work and she tried talking to him about it but he wasn't interested.  All of that happened.

Wouldn't call it right out lying, just economical with the truth, even Felicity accepted Tane was there to pick up Ryder once he explained he wasn't there to see her, it's not all about you Felicity.  Ryder, Bella, Nik or Theo could have told Roo that.  She just said to Cash Tane turned up at Felicity's club.  Why would Tane send Ari, he wouldn't have known Felicity was working that night or was he supposed to ring ahead and ask?

Cash should have listened to his brotherly instincts about Flick's call not sounding right and maybe spoken to her before getting a Chinese Whispers version of what went down from Roo.  After that warning off from Felicity not totally surprising  Mack thought it was her following her, no-one else it could there is there?  All a matter of prospective and from what side you are looking at it from.  'We' can look at it objectively as 'we' aren't involved, our feelings about the characters aside.

Logan has found something to occupy his time when he's not with Mack, stand in doc so on call at any time.

Amber may not openly said anything bad about Ziggy but hints could be enough. Jai is six so of course would want his mum and dad together, like some of his mates  mums and dads are. Dean explained it in a very good way  and didn't order Jai to be nice to Ziggy.  Ziggy too stopped trying so hard, kids can suss things like that out.  Loved his giggles when Ziggy was doing her colouring in.  Dean looked relieved.

Mack is just following H&S guidelines with the number of tables permitted, as frustrating or petty as they can be at times, she does have to think of how  many tables there are, how people on each as she'd have to allow for people having to get out in a hurry.  I don't think either Roo or Alf thought Martha would do a disappearing act like she has, the fund raiser has meant such  a lot to her.

Seems a lot is going to be happening next week, well in Aus anyway,  and leaving us hanging as to the outcome will be.  We'll be two months behind when it returns to our screens.  Do we know if there will be a Christmas break in Australia?

The way I see it is you either tell the whole full truth or you tell part of it which means you deliberately leave things out which is still lying no matter which way you try to spin it and that is what they both did! That’s my view it won’t change so no point arguing anymore about this. I’m drawing a line now.

The only thing they left out was Tane going to club to get Ryder.   Everything else they said still stands.  There's a difference between leaving things out and straight out lying where it's clearly implied they've said things that weren't true.  All the other events referenced serve as a valid reason for Felicity to be scared of Tane and Roo to be concerned about her hence the separate discussions they've had with Cash in the latter part of Friday's episode and (judging by the way he reacted after his conversation with Felicity) him taking the matter quite seriously.  Furthermore, Roo is not throwing someone under the bus they aren't even friends with where she has nothing really to gain!

Clearly we saw things differently.
