EARLY WARNING⚠️ - next Monday's (22nd) 13.15 episode is the last until the New Year!  3rd January - possibly?

The lunchtime showing is actually at 12:30 next Monday, but yes as mentioned in the other thread it returns on 3rd Jan.

Whilst she obviously didn't know about Theo's plan, the thing that annoyed me most about Chloe is her complete ignorance as to why Ryder could be so peeved about the 'kidnapping' (given she was kidnapped alongside him earlier this year). I find it hard to believe that it wouldn't have even crossed her mind until Bella pointed it out. And when she does finally click, she quickly brushes it off with a quick apology for not realising, and asks him to put it aside and enjoy the evening.

Chloe is just insufferable. Even when trying to be nice, her idea of giving Ryder a good time is to invite someone he hates along, get the someone he hates to bring him there as if that isn't likely to backfire, and then tell him to his face that she prefers the person she hates to him and proceed to shun him for the rest of the evening, while whining to everyone that will listen about how awful he's being for not being in a party mood after being attacked and locked in a car boot, which Theo seemed to enjoy doing, given the way he was smiling at Ryder's distress and filming his terror like some sort of snuff video. And the worst thing of all? It feels horribly like we're meant to be on her side and see Ryder as having ruined the night out, given the way Bella and Nikau were hanging off her saying things like "Are you all right?" She says she and Ryder spend all their time together, yet she seems to spend all her time flirting with Theo only to find she can dish it out but not take it when Ryder starts talking to someone else.

And then we have Bella and Nikau going "Well, thank goodness we're not them." Oh swell.

Tane didn't do too bad a job at the club, although him being happy to just leave Chloe there felt like too much of a plot device and he could have done with being a bit more diplomatic in places. Ari looked out of his depth in the gym discussion, so being a stay at home parent is probably a smart idea.

Yes, the Christmas finale is on a Monday as we fell a day behind when Prince Phillip died.

Do we have any data yet on how the loss of the teatime showing has impacted viewing figures, and indeed how is Neighbours performing in H&A's old slot?

These won't be published until Monday.

I think I'd enjoy Love Island... After a Frontal Lobotomy.??

I got hooked on Love Island.

Hilarious.  Logan jacks in the job he loves for a woman he's known for a few weeks.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Theo planned this to a tee but I do believe he had some idea of what he was doing and what the intended outcome would be.  He was relishing Ryder being in the boot of his car and knew he would get annoyed (most people would).  And then when Ryder got drunk and made a fool of himself, Theo swooped in and played the night in shining armour to Chloe.  I agree how Chloe acted towards him and I know she's selfish and self-interested but this was still fairly hard to understand (Am I the only one who enjoyed Ryder making her jealous?)

I initially enjoyed the Felicity/Tane stuff at the club, especially the way her colleague said "Is that him?" before Felicity went into one.  He seemed genuinely bemused that she wanted him gone, threatening to get security.  Perhaps she's not the stalker after all Tane.  Tane was out of line with Felicity's colleague.  He insulted her for no apparent reason (or maybe guilt by association) when he went to escort Ryder out the club.  Objectively, given the current situation, he should not have gone to the club in all honesty.  He should have got Ari to pick Ryder up instead.  Wasn't even sure Felicity was still working there.

Maybe I'm being oversensitive but it still feels like Ryder is getting it in the neck a lot more than Chloe is. Ryder got the full-on interrogation from Ari and Mia (including getting blamed for Tane's call to leave Chloe behind), while they seemed to go fairly easy on Chloe and let Theo off with the brief burn of Mia refusing to shake his hand. I was undecided whether Ari sending Chloe to the lunch was a good idea or not and I still am: Ryder seemed pleased to see her at first but it was going south even before Martha decided to mention that thing she wasn't supposed to mention. Honestly, Chloe spends half her time cuddling up to Theo while he continually badmouths Ryder and she mildly disagrees in a way that seems increasingly tokenistic, especially given the way she kept jumping to Theo's defence against Ryder even though he had every reason to be angry with him: She's doing everything but cheat on Ryder. That said, Ryder was incredibly dumb warning Theo off Chloe: How did he think that was going to play out? He didn't even manage to land a punch, so he's made himself look like the bad guy for nothing. Despite Justin's comment, I can't see Leah and Chloe interpreting this as anything other than Ryder being at fault.

Alf giving Ryder the family heirloom mostly made me think "So, you didn't want to give it to Duncan then?" (Thinking about it, Duncan would have turned 21 right after he and Alf had that falling out at his wedding, right?)

It's reached the point where not only are Tane and Felicity giving each other the worst impression possible but everyone around them is doing their best to make the situation worse as well. Felicity realises she overreacted to Tane coming to the club, yet instead of talking her down off the ledge, Roo starts egging her on and telling her she needs to feel safe. And then, when Felicity and Tane are almost having a civil conversation, Mackenzie decides to stir the pot (in a rather hypocritical manner as well) with unnecessarily aggressive comments and push it over the edge. I'm finding her behaviour quite ridiculous: Sure, Tane's her friend, but she was getting on fine with Felicity a week ago.I wonder what Jasmine will make of this.

There's a certain karma to Ari and Mia's scheming coming to nothing. Well, okay, they got a gym out of it, but that was meant to be a means to an end. They have many admirable qualities when it comes to parenting, but their willingness to break the law for the sake of a quick fix kind of proves the adoption agency's point.

Chloe was slow on the up take as why Ryder was so angry/upset about being stuffed in the boot of Theo's car which we have to cut Theo some slack for not knowing why Ryder reacted the way he did.   But if none of that had happened I think the evening would have gone well even with Theo being there, Ryder could have just ignored him.  Was a very small group celebrating it wasn't there, would have just been the four of them if Theo hadn't been there.   I don't know if Chloe felt she ought to take Theo as he helped her plan it.  Both of them acted like idiots, but in Chloe's defence we did learn from Theo she hadn't stopped talking about Ryder all night and no I don't think anything happened.  It didn't last long but I found Theo actually likable when we saw first saw him and Chloe on the beach, he wasn't coming onto her her just listening.  Theo would be totally wrong for Chloe, she needs Ryder in her life, he's her moral compass. One good thing came out of the night Nik and Bella were able to see the other's problem from their side.

Is someone going to have to pay for the damage caused?

Instinct for Nik to ring Tane and not Ari, he wouldn't think that it may be a bad idea for Tane to turn up, it's a dance club/disco anyone can go in it and he doesn't know the whole Tane/Felicity situation.  Felicity was rather paranoid thinking Tane was there to harass her and not to do Nik a favour, she did calm down when he explained why he was there, but was relieved when he left.

Chloe is an adult and was pretty sober so not likely to get into something she couldn't handle, though I could see why Ari and Mia would be concerned as they don't/didn't know Theo, not that is any guarantee.   For all his bluster it seems Theo was the perfect gentleman.

Well the breakfast lunch went well didn't it. Wow It was going kind of OK then it blew up spectacularly. An actual mention of Ryder's mum and she reminded his Birthday.   I wonder if Owen remembered?   That thought about the compass crossed my mind - father to down down the years - er Duncan anyone?  But it had to have been during one of their many times they were estranged to be the reason Alf didn't pass it on. There were times after that he could have passed it on.  Anyways it gave me a lump in the throat and a tear in the eye.?

Yeh Tane great minds think alike, ?, Mia was so fired up about her/their plans for the gym she hadn't given fitting in bringing up a baby/toddler around it all a thought.   Were we meant to gather from the talk Ari had with Tane about their dad they were a one parent family?  Ari may have his faults, don't we all, but his offer to be a stay-at-home dad was lovely, though academic now.  Chloe may be a cow, but she put her own concerns aside when she heard about the adoption agency turning down Ari and Mia's application.

Felicity did seem to totally overreact when she saw Tane and all he was doing was washing his hands before starting his class, it was in the open air so anyone and everyone has the right to be there.   Mack did jump in when she had no right to, Tane and Felicity were having a reasonable conversation, no skin off Tane's nose if he doesn't go to 'her' club, must be plenty more.  I could be absolutely wrong but I got the sense Felicity had been in a situation like this before where a guy had been stalking her, hence her call to Cash and it looked like she was having a panic attack.
