At Salt

 

Tori has come to pick up dinner when she runs into Christian and it’s a little awkward

 

Tori: hey

Christian: hi

Tori: what you doing?

Christian: getting dinner for one. Unless I can convince you to join me?

Tori: not tonight we’re having a family dinner

Christian: oh you mean Justin and Leah?

Tori: and Robbo and Jasmine and Lance

Christian: who’s Lance?

Tori: a family friend

Christian: is that the guy I saw you with earlier?

Tori: wait what?

Christian: I was out walking and I saw you looking happy with some guy

Tori: ah yeah that’s him

Christian: so we’re you guys ever together?

Tori: no we weren’t. It’s complicated

Christian: well clearly you like him

Tori: why do you say that?

Christian: because you were happy with me

Tori: he makes me happy. It’s not something I want to get into

Christian: so just to be sure you still like me?

Tori: of course I do that hasn’t changed

Christian: I’m glad. I’ll see you around

Tori: yeah. Bye

Christian: bye

Christian leaves and Tori is so confused about her feelings right now and Christian isn’t helping at all.

 

The Morgan House

 

Tori arrives with dinner but everyone can see something isn’t quite right. Robbo pulls her into a hug

 

Robbo: what’s up?

Tori: everything

Robbo: just tell me what to do

Tori: just hold me

Robbo: I love you

Tori: I love you too

Tori eventually stops hugging Robbo and everyone starts to get some dinner. They are eating it

Tori: sorry about my freak out

Justin: it’s fine T

Jasmine: yeah as long as you are ok now?

Tori: I am thank you

Lance: so what happened?

Tori: Christian just confused me that’s all and then it become to much

Robbo: do I need to go beat this guy up?

Lance: we should at least do a background check on him

Robbo: yeah your right we need to be sure we can trust him

Tori: I was going to ask but then thought I needed to trust my own judgment but yeah that would be good. Also you don’t need to beat him up.

Robbo: aww your no fun

Tori: I’m hoping I can build something with Christian I’m just scared

Robbo: I know and that’s understandable. We don’t let people in so wanting to do that is a big thing

Tori: if things don’t work I have you guys and that’s enough

Justin: love you too sis

Tori: oh shut up!

 

Robbo, Jasmine and Colby’s apartment

 

Tori and Lance have come to see Colby and Colby us surprised but happy to see them. Colby hugs Tori and bro hugs Lance

Colby: hey guys. When did you get back?

Lance: yesterday

Colby: guess you were spending time with the family catching up

Lance: yep you know it. We have a lot to catch up on

Colby: yeah I bet. I need to fill you in on my stuff too

Lance: of course. So much drama in one small town who would of thought

Colby: yeah but we love it

Lance: yeah you do

Colby: come in

 

5 minutes earlier

 

Christian is out walking when he see’s Tori hugging yet another guy with Lance also their. He’s wondering why Tori has all these people close to her that clearly love and care about her and she’s not dating any of them? It’s very werid, like why does she want to date him if she already has people in her life that she could easily be with?

Chapter 12

 

Outside the surf club

 

Christian is still thinking about Tori and everyone when he’s surprised to hear someone calling his name

 

Robbo: hey

Christian: hi

Robbo: so we need to talk

Christian: well good. I want answers too

Robbo: about what?

Christian: about Tori? About you? About us? About Lance? About that other one, I don’t know everyone and everything

Robbo: you don’t know our life. You don’t know anything about us

Christian: but I want too. I want to be with Tori and give her everything but how can I when I know nothing about her past

Robbo: I don’t trust you

Christian: but you don’t know me? You could give me a chance you know?

Robbo: why so I can approve of you for Tori?

Christian: well I don’t know much but I’m pretty sure she wants you too

Robbo: she’s never needed my permission to do anything

 Christian: that’s not what I meant. I just mean she loves you and values your opinion, you trust each other

Robbo: with my life. Without question. With our daughter. With everything yeah

Christian: I want to understand

Robbo: maybe you have to accept you just can’t

Christian: fine then answer me just one question

Robbo: ok go ahead

Christian: why does Tori want to date me and not you? Or Lance? Or the other one?

Robbo: you mean Colby?

Christian: is that his name?

Robbo: my best friend. Lives with me and Jasmine in the pier apartment

Christian: yeah that’s him

Robbo: yep

Christian: ok so you? Lance? Colby? Tell me why does she want me?

Robbo: shouldn’t you be asking Tori that

Christian: I tried but maybe I don’t want the answer

Robbo: then what does that tell you?

Christian: this isn’t about me being jealous or whateva I just want to know why me?

Robbo: you are asking the wrong person. I won’t stop you from going after Tori but if you hurt her I will end you

Chapter 13

 

The Morgan House

 

Christian has come over to get answers from Tori

 

Christian: so?

Tori: what’s going on?

Christian: I just want to know why you want to date me.

Tori: because I like. Because your a good guy. Because I think we could be good together. All of the above.

Christian: why not Robbo? Or Lance? Or Colby? Just help me out here

Tori: because they are my family and I love them and I’m so close to them and I guess if I date them and it doesn’t work it would destory us all and I can’t put any of them though that or myself

Christian: so I’m the easy option?

Tori: that’s not what I said. But I guess being with you is easier in a way because you don’t know about my past or anything. But they know everything which is better but I still can’t risk it

Christian: so if you could risk it I wouldn’t even be here?

Tori: honestly yeah probably

Christian: I don’t know how to feel about not being your first choice

Tori: It’s complicated. It’s not like your my back up plan or my second or third choice that’s not what this is. I like you and I want us to work it’s just easier if you don’t know about everything else

Christian: but I want you to let me in and trust me

Tori: I want that too. I just can’t I’m sorry

Christian: it’s ok I can wait for you to be ready.

Tori: what if I’m never ready? What then? I can’t ask you to wait for me it wouldn’t be fair

Christian: but you choose me right? And you have options?

Tori: well yeah but I can’t just go date my family it’s complicated

Christian: I get it. I just want you to be honest with me

Tori: I am trying!

Christian: I know. We can make this work you just have to let me in

Tori: and if I can’t? What then?

Christian: I don’t know but either way I’m not going anywhere until you tell me too

Tori: I don’t deserve you

Christian: I’m pretty sure it’s the other way around but I’ll take it

Tori: ok I have to go but we’ll talk soon yeah

Christian: just call or text me. I’ll be waiting

Tori: bye

Christian: bye

 

Pier dinner apartment

 

Tori rushes up hoping to find Robbo but she finds Colby instead. She hugs him and is crying. Colby hugs her back 

Colby: hey what’s wrong?

Tori: what isn’t

Colby: I’m here for whateva you need. Just tell me what to do

Tori: just don’t let me go

 

The diner

 

Robbo and Jasmine are just finishing up their coffees

 

Jasmine: so how did your chat with Christian go?

Robbo: uh good. I mean we laid down the law so to speak

Jasmine: well that sounds like a fun conversation... for you. Not so much for Christian

Robbo: he can handle himself

Jasmine: I’m sure he can. are you really ok with them dating?

Robbo: do you want a truthful answer to that question?

Jasmine: well no! But I deserve it so

Robbo: well the truth is no I’m not

Jasmine: you don’t trust him?

Robbo: I don’t

Jasmine: you might change your mind you know

Robbo: I won’t

Jasmine: why?

Robbo: because he doesn’t deserve her!

Jasmine: how can you be so sure?

Robbo: because I’m the only one who does!

Jasmine: well yeah but you can’t date her and she has to date someone. Doesn’t Tori deserve what we have?

Robbo: of course she does. And I want her to be happy more than anything. I just wish it could be with someone I trust and is family

Jasmine: well considering Tori put a stop to that happening were just going to have to hope for the best with Christian

Robbo: do we?

Jasmine: why what are you thinking?

Robbo: I know what I want to do but I can’t so

Jasmine: Robbo don’t

Robbo: don’t worry I won’t do it. It wouldn’t be fair

Jasmine: good glad we got that sorted. You coming home?

Robbo: I’ll be up in a second

Jasmine: I love you

Robbo: I love you too

Robbo and Jasmine kiss

Robbo knows Jasmine is right but he can’t help thinking if he did this then it would solve all their problems maybe he should be selfish for once and put himself first?

Pier Apartment

 

Jasmine comes home and is surprised and concerned to find Tori upset in Colby’s arms

 

Jasmine: hey what’s wrong?

Colby: Christian problems

Jasmine: I’m sorry

Tori: it’s not even his fault it’s mine but I can’t tell him that so then I just tell him that I’m not ready and it makes things worse. I just want to be happy, why can’t I be happy?

Colby: it’s ok. You have us you don’t need him right Jas?

Jasmine: of course, completely

Tori: thanks guys I don’t know what I would do without you guys

Jasmine: lucky you don’t have to find out

Robbo arrives and is instantly concerned about Tori

Robbo: you ok?

Tori: yeah just had a freak out but Colby took care of me I’m fine now

Robbo: ok if your sure

Tori: I am. Thank you though

Robbo: I’ll always be here for you, don’t you doubt that

Tori: I never could

Jasmime: Robbo we need to talk now

Robbo: right now?

Jasmine: yes it’s important

Robbo: ok let’s go to our room

Jasmine: ok. Can you stay here with Tori?

Colby: of course

Jasmine: we won’t be long

Tori: ok

Robbo and Jasmine’s bedroom

 

Robbo: so what’s going on?

Jasmine: you still thinking about earlier?

Robbo: yes but I can’t do it. Why?

Jasmine: I’ve changed my mind

Robbo: what?

Jasmine: I don’t think Christian and Tori will work out so we need to stop it so do it please

Robbo: wow never thought you would agree with me on this. What changed your mind?

Jasmine: Tori did

Robbo: how so?

Jasmine: she’s too conflicted and upset about Christian and what to do it’s tearing her apart and I just want to see her happy. And your right we don’t know him and we don’t know whether we can trust him. It’s for the best. I’m totally all in on your plan now

Robbo: ok well I’ll do it now?

Jasmine: no wait till tonight she is already upset let’s just give her space and time to get her head straight then you can talk to her

Robbo: ok I trust you so we will do it your way

Jasmine: I just hope this works. Tori doesn’t deserve all this stress

Robbo: I know but I have faith it will. It’s always been me and Tori against the world and that’s not going to change especially not for some pretty boy. Christian will be out of our lives for good I know it

Robbo arrives looking for Tori but he finds Justin instead and uses this as an opportunity to gather intel

 

Justin: hey

Robbo: hey looking for Tori?

Justin: she’s at work

Robbo: oh, you looking after Grace?

Justin: no Marilyn is

Robbo: oh right

Justin: what’s up?

Robbo: can I ask you something

Justin: of course

Robbo: I know Christian saved your life but do you think he’s right for Tori?

Justin: that isn’t my call to make

Robbo: I know

Justin: and it’s not yours either

Robbo: it should be

Justin: what?

Robbo: I just mean I should be supporting Tori not Christian

Justin: what are you talking about? You are supporting her. But she needs a partner too. You have Jasmine. Don’t be selfish

Robbo: I wasn’t going to be but you know what stuff it I want to be! Tori has me she doesn’t need anyone else

Justin: I know

Robbo: you do?

Justin: of course. I’m known it from the start I just thought you guys would of ended up together but you didn’t and that’s ok but now Tori wants to be happy with Christian but doesn’t know how to be because your the only guy who can truly make her happy. I get it and so does Tori. So if you want to do it, do it. I won’t stand in your way and neither will my sister because she loves you always has

Robbo: I love her too and I just want her to be happy. But I don’t trust Christian

Justin: I know

Robbo: so you agree with me? That I’m right? That she doesn’t need Christian?

Justin: I do agree and your right she doesn’t need Christian she only has only ever needed you but she wants him and maybe that’s more important

Robbo: even if he hurts her?

Justin: maybe she’ll hurt him?

Robbo: either way this relationship won’t work and I have to stop it

Justin: I trust you with my sisters heart whatever you think is best I’ll support it

Robbo: thank you

Justin: so you going to wait for Tori?

Robbo: why how long will she be?

Justin: half an hour tops

Robbo: ok then I can do that

Justin: so sport?

Robbo: you read my mind

Part 16

 

The Morgan House

 

Tori arrives home and is surprised but happy to see Robbo they hug.

 

Tori: hey

Robbo: hey

Tori: what’s wrong?

Robbo: I just need to talk to you it’s important

Tori: ok let’s sit down together

Tori and Robbo sit down on the couch and they hold hands

Tori: your scaring me

Robbo: I’m just scared

Tori: of what?

Robbo: of the unknown. Of Christian coming into our lives? I don’t trust him

Tori: I know you don’t

Robbo: I don’t want to be selfish but I want to be right now

Tori: then be it. Your always putting everyone else first. Put yourself first this time

Robbo: you know the promise we made each other?

Tori: I could never forget

Robbo: well I want to use it for Christian

Tori: ok

Robbo: ok?

Tori: you know what we agreed on. You know if you ask then it’s already a done deal. Nothing is more important then our relationship

Robbo: I love you so much

Tori: I love you too. More than anything

Robbo: so it’s settled. No more Christian

Tori: I’ll end things with him tomorrow

Robbo: thank you

Tori: you don’t have to thank me. We made a pact that if the other needed to ask a question we would agree without question. Without fail. So you asking me not to be with Christian anymore? So I’m not going to be. You know your enough for me. You always were. I wish we could of ended up together but we left it to late and you feel in love with Jasmine instead but it’s ok, you will never lose me

Robbo: you won’t lose me either. I’m not going anywhere ever again

 

Justin and Leah’s room

 

Justin is listening though the door

 

Leah: so did Robbo do it?

Justin: yeah

Leah: are you really ok with this?

Justin: of course I am. Robbo knows what is best for my sister he always has. I trust him

Leah: I know me too

Justin: they will be ok they always are. No one can ever break them

Leah: they have a special bond hey

Justin: the strongest. I’ve never met anyone that is that devoted to each other

Leah: same and they are not even together

Justin: yeah they were both idiots they didn’t admit their feelings till it was too late they couldn’t change it and they couldn’t go back. They deserved to be a real family with Grace but it can’t happen

Leah: I know it’s sad. Come back to bed

Justin climbs into bed and cuddles with Leah

Justin: promise me we will never end

Leah: I promise. I love you. We’re family. Your struck with me

Justin: good

Justin and Leah kiss

 

Outside the surf club

 

Christian gets a text from Tori asking to meet up. He’s scared about what she’s going to say to him, he is hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

Chapter 17

 

The Morgan House

 

Christian has arrived to talk to Tori

 

Christian: hey

Tori: hey

Christian: so am I walking into bad news?

Tori: just take a seat

Tori and Christian sit down at the dinning table

Christian: ok what’s going on?

Tori: I just have to tell you something

Christian: ok

Tori: your not going to like it

Christian: I think I can handle it

Tori: ok so the truth is, I can’t see you anymore

Christian: wait your breaking up with me? Why?

Tori: because I can’t let you wait for me not knowing if I’ll ever be ready

Christian: that’s bull ****, you weren’t worried about this before. You told me to wait for you and I did so what’s changed?

Tori: ok the truth is I was trying to let you down easy

Christian: well skip that and just be honest

Tori: Robbo doesn’t trust you

Christian: I know

Tori: and he asked me to stop seeing you so I’m going to respect that

Christian: so what’s it’s over? Just like that? Why does Robbo get to decide this for you!

Tori: he didn’t! I agreed to it!

Christian: yes but why

Tori: it’s just us. Me and him against the world and stuff everyone else it’s always been like that

Christian: but what about me? About what we’re trying to build here! I thought you said you wanted me! Wanted us! Wanted to let me in! Wanted everything!

Tori: I do, but it’s more complicated than that

Christian: no it’s not, we like each other that should be enough

Tori: it would usually be but it’s not in this situation

Christian: so what i’m your second choice? Robbo comes first is that how this goes?

Tori: yes I’m sorry but yeah if we were to get together he would always come first. He’s the same with me

Christian: but he’s married to Jasmine! Shouldn’t he put her first?

Tori: Jasmine knew the score before she married him and she was ok with it. If me and you do end up together you have to be ok with it too or it just won’t work

Christian: ok so if I am ok with it? What then? Can we still build something here?

Tori: I’m not the one you have to convince

Christian: you want me to convince Robbo? What that I’m good enough for you? That I deserve you like he does?

Tori: yeah well I don’t see another way and I don’t think it’s going to be easy but if you can sort things out with Robbo and he trusts you then yeah I can see this working

Christian: how am I supposed to convince him to give me a chance?

Tori: that’s your issue not mine but good luck

Christian: no advice?

Tori: prove that you can be trusted. I don’t know

Christian: your so much help

Tori: I don’t know what to tell you. Robbo doesn’t let people in and neither do I for good reason so if you can figure out a way to prove that we can trust you, then figure it out

Christian: I’ll try my best

Tori: I am sorry for making this so hard for you

Christian: I’m sorry too but again your not the one that needs convincing

Part 18

 

Outside the surf club

 

Robbo and Tori are walking together with Baby Grace in the pram

 

Tori: so you got plans for today?

Robbo: no but where ever you want to do in good with

Tori: thought we could Grace up to the light house

Robbo: that sounds prefect. Just the two of us, no distractions

Tori: yeah Jasmine’s at work so it’ll just be us and Grace. The prefect family

Robbo: let’s go to the dinner and get some food

Tori: sounds good

 

The diner

 

Robbo and Tori enter and spot Irene

 

Irene: hey

Tori and Robbo: hey

Irene: so you looking to get some food?

Tori: yeah we’re taking Grace up to the lighthouse

Irene: oh that’s nice

Robbo: it’s a beautiful day. Nice day to spend with my family

Irene: well you enjoy it

Tori: we will

Robbo: see ya

Irene: bye

 

The light house

 

Tori and Robbo are taking photos together at the light house and enjoying their time with Grace

 

Robbo: I’m so glad we can be together like this

Tori: me too

Robbo: we’re going to make memories to last a lifetime

Tori: yep and Grace will be all, look at how happy my parents are

Robbo: yeah our kid is going to be spoilt

Tori: wouldn’t want it any other way

Robbo: me neither

Tori: has Christian tried to talk to you?

Robbo: no why?

Tori: he said he wants to convince you too trust him so that we can get back together

Robbo: well I haven’t seen him

Tori: ok. I didn’t know what he is planning but it’s sweet he’s trying

Robbo: don’t get your hopes up

Tori: I did tell him it was a long shot but he seemed determined

Robbo: well I will believe it when I see it till then

Tori: yeah I know. Let’s just enjoy the rest of this afternoon and focus on us and our daughter

Robbo: you will be ok you don’t need him you have me

Tori: I know

Robbo: I love you

Tori: I love you too

 

Robbo, Jasmine and Robbo’s apartment

 

Robbo arrives back home and is surprised to see Christian at his door

 

Robbo: hey

Christian: hey, can we talk?

Robbo: no!

Christian: come on 5 minutes?

Robbo: why bother

Christian: because giving up on Tori isn’t an option

Robbo: then go talk to her

Christian: I did but your the one that needs convincing

Robbo: I don’t get how you think your going to prove to me that you deserve her

Christian: you can start by giving me a chance to try

Robbo: Tori doesn’t need you. And I don’t want you in our lives. Just leave us alone

Christian: why are you so sure I’m not good enough for Tori?

Robbo: because no one is, because she’s better then everyone I’ve ever met or known, she’s just amazing. And you don’t know her. And you don’t get it and you never will

Christian: just let me try to convince you that I can be someone you and her can trust

Robbo: you keep saying you can prove it but they are just words. Words don’t mean anything. Actions are better then words.

Christian: then how do I show you then?

Robbo: I don’t know. It’s your decision. I can’t tell you how to prove it. That’s on you to figure out

Christian: well I’m flying blind and I want some help

Robbo: no that’s not happening. If your not good enough to work it out then you don’t deserve a chance. Prove me wrong

Part 19

 

The Morgan House

 

Christian has come to talk to Tori again

 

Christian: hey

Tori: hey

Christian: I came here to tell you that I’m staying in the bay permanently

Tori: really?

Christian: yeah if I want to prove that I’m serious about us then putting down roots here, the place you live at is a good start

Tori: I’m glad your staying

Christian: I don’t know how I’m going to convince Robbo yet but I’m working on it

Tori: I hope you can figure it out

Christian: you know I never expected this, coming to the bay, meeting you, wanting to settle down but I can see it clearly with you, I can see us together

Tori: I can too

Christian: so I’m not giving up on you or us. Ok I’ll find a way to make this work

Tori: good luck

Christian: I think I’ll need it

 

Robbo, Jasmine, Colby’s apartment

 

Jasmine: how was yesterday with Tori and Grace?

Robbo: it was amazing. Any time we didn’t together as a family is precious

Jasmine: I’m glad you enjoyed it

Robbo: so you busy today?

Jasmine: no why?

Robbo: thought we could go to the beach

Jasmine: sounds good I’ll get my stuff

The Beach

 

Robbo and Jasmine are playing together in the water splashing each other and enjoying the moment

Robbo: being in the bay is the best thing ever

Jasmine: I know

Robbo: can you believe everything that has happened since we got here?

Jasmine: it’s pretty crazy

Robbo: yep but now we can just enjoy it and not worry about anything

Jasmine: yep life is good

Robbo and Jasmine go to sit on the beach and dry off

Robbo: it’s so hot today

Jasmine: it’s been hot all week. Lucky we have a beach right on our doorstep

Robbo: yes it’s awesome

Outside the surf club

 

Jasmine has just gone inside to get some juices and Robbo is waiting outside by himself until Christian finds him

 

Robbo: you stalking me or something? I thought you wanted Tori

Christian: oh your so funny

Robbo: I’m a nice guy mostly but don’t **** me off

Christian: I wasn’t going too

Robbo: I find that hard to believe. Even harder that you can’t seem to stay away when I said you should. Your a surgeon yet you can’t follow simple instructions

Christian: if they are reasonable ones sure

Robbo: ok you got 5 seconds to explain what your doing here or you can leave now

Christian: I’m here to tell you I’m moving to the bay permanently

Robbo: oh really and is that supposed to make everything alright is it?

Christian: I thought it would be a start to trying to prove to you I’m serious about Tori

Robbo: again with the words

Christian: well you said actions work better. So building a life for myself in the bay is that.

Robbo: congratulations your staying don’t expect a medal

Christian: I’m trying to figure out what you want from me

Robbo: you? Nothing! That’s the point. I told you I don’t want you with Tori so their is nothing you can do

Christian: well I’m not giving up

Robbo: suit yourself. Just don’t blame me when you get burned. I warned you

Part 20

 

The diner

 

Christian comes to the diner to get food but he see’s Jasmine and approaches her

 

Christian: hey

Jasmine: hi

Christian: so can I get some advice from you?

Jasmine: you want my help?

Christian: well your married to Robbo you should have some idea about what he wants from me

Jasmine: and let me guess he gave you nothing

Christian: got it in one. So can you help?

Jasmine: no

Christian: what? Why not?

Jasmine: your not the problem

Christian: that’s not what Robbo thinks

Jasmine: Urg I shouldn’t be saying this but I guess if you want a hint I’ve got one

Christian: ok hit me

Jasmine: haha Robbo just might

Christian: what hit you?

Jasmine: what, no, hit you

Christian: why?

Jasmine: you know you guys aren’t that different

Christian: I beg to differ I’m not that angry

Jasmine: he has his reasons

Christian: are they good enough?

Jasmine: hey don’t talk about what you don’t understand! You know nothing about anything! You know what forget it, Robbo’s right about you, Tori is better off

Jasmine runs off, leaving Christian very confused about what he said that was so wrong and why she reacted like that. Before he has a chance to get his bearings though Tori comes into the diner

 

Tori: what the hell did you do to Jasmine!

Christian: nothing! I just said some stuff and she was got angry and upset and left! I don’t know what I did

Tori: well what did you say?

Christian: that Robbo’s reasons for not wanting us together aren’t good enough

Tori: you said that?!

Christian: yeah I don’t get what’s so bad about what I said

Tori: yeah you wouldn’t because you don’t know anything about it! about us! You know what forget it, just leave the bay, I don’t want you around my family anymore

Christian: Tori wait, just let me explain

Tori: no, Robbo is right, I should know that by now, he’s always right, this is not going to work, bye Christian

Tori runs off

Christian is wondering how one conversation just screwed everything up for him and he doesn’t even know why.
