Would Seven not own the rights to the Early Years?

It is possible.

Emmett Otters Jug Band Christmas was created by Jim Henson (as in the Muppets) It was originally introduced by Kermit the Frog, but that had to be cut out of the DVD because of the legalities. The Muppets had been sold off and the owner had the rights to Emmett Otter but not Kermit.

My question is why is it such an issue for them to be shown, does Seven not own the episodes or Home and Away, is it produced for Seven or is it by Seven Productions?

answers would be nice, thanks.

Please see this thread. Ownership isn't the issue.
