Wow! exciting chapter and very well written! Irene is very brave to go with him like that. I'm guessing that Liv was upstairs and she was protecting her. Poor Billie  Running into him like that must have been awful. And I wonder who Mick has upset that he needs protection from. The thing with the brake fluid really doesn't sound good! Hope Irene is OK  (Love the banter between Justin and Ash too.)

Chapter 6

The Garage
Matt is waiting at the garage when his phone rings.
Ash "can you look after the garage today?"
Matt "there is to much work to do here"
Ash "look, me and Justin will be back as soon as we can. But for now can you just handle things"
Matt "Ok fine"

Matt starts throwing things around in frustration. When Evie appears.
Evie "Hi. Are you ok?"
Matt "yeah just cant find that stupid lighter anywhere"
Evie "where did you have it last"
Matt "somewhere in all of this"
Evie looks around the room.
Evie "It's a complete mess Matt. No wonder you can't find anything"
Matt "Yeah I know. But I just haven't had the time to clean up lately. We have all been under the pump"
Evie "ok, well maybe I can help you out with that"
Matt "I couldn't ask you to do that"
Evie "you didn't. I'm offering. besides I sort of owe you for helping with the charity volleyball match"
Matt "surely you have better things to do on your day off"
Evie "actually, I really don't"
Matt "and I thought my life was a snooze fest"
Evie "is this how you treat all the help?"
Matt "only the cute ones"
Evie "haha very funny"
Matt and Evie gaze into each others eyes and for a single moment they reminisce in the possibility of something.
 

"Matt are you here?" Phoebe yells from what must of been half way down the road. Because boy she was loud.
Matt adverts his eyes away from Evie and turns around to face Phoebe.
Matt "yeah I'm here" still struggling to regain his full hearing.
Phoebe "I was going to ask you if you could fill in for Brodie at the restaurant tonight. But I can see that your busy and will come back later"
Matt "Phoebe wait!"
Phoebe "you don't have to lie to me Matt Page. I see what's going on here"
Matt "No you really don't" Matt tried to say, but Phoebe had already bolted before he could.
Matt buries his face in his hands. knowing that by tomorrow morning, they would be front page news and none of it will be true.
Matt "I'm sorry about that, Phoebe has a over imagination. sometimes it get's her into trouble"
Evie "I know, I live with her"
Matt "right. your absolutely right"
Evie "Anyway, now where were we"
Matt "you were going to help me clean the garage"
Evie "how about you start fixing the cars and I will start cleaning up the place"
Matt "sounds like a plan"
Evie "ok good"

 

 

The Hospital
Nate and Tori are running around the hospital.
Tori "short staffed again"
Nate "it feels like it happens every day in Summer Bay"
Tori "They would be lost without us"
Nate "as head of the ED. You could always hire new staff.
Tori "you mean like a new hot doctor"
Nate "I'm sure the nurses would love that"
Tori "and me?"
Nate facial expression quickly changed.
Tori "if I didn't know any better, I would say you were jealous"
Nate "and what would you say if I was"
Tori "I would say that I'm dating the kindness and hunkiest doctor here and no one can compete with that"
Nate "you don't say"
Tori "shut up and kiss me"
Nate "we are on duty"
Tori "you right it would be very unprofessional"
Nate moves closer to Tori. Tori and Nate lean in.

 

 

Irene's house
Hunter "Liv I don't want to fight. just let me in please"
Liv walks down the stairs and opens the door for Hunter.
Olivia "come inside and we can talk"
Hunter "thankyou"
Olivia "the file?"
Hunter "it's just a file Liv"
Olivia "what was in it it, that was so important"
Hunter "a name"
Olivia "how can a name be so important"
Hunter "according to this file. my biological father may not be Zac"
Olivia "I thought your mum told you your father was Zac"
Hunter "my mum told a lot of things to a lot of people. I can't say for certain if I believe anything she ever told me"
Olivia "what happens now"
Hunter "nothing. I burn the file and any proof that I'm not Zac's son dies with it"
Olivia "are you sure"
Hunter "I have a father. I don't need anther one"

Chapter 7

Mick and Irene are traveling further and further away from the bay. The roads are becoming longer and the houses are becoming distant.
Mick "how far are we away from the cottage?"
Irene "about half an hour"
Mick "that's too far"
Irene "you need to slow down"
Mick "no, we need to arrive sooner"
Irene "slow down or I wont tell you where we are going"
Mick "I can't"
Irene "what do you mean you can't"
Mick "the brake, it's not working"
Irene "what!"
Mick "I can't stop"
Irene starts screaming for help.
Mick "what is that going to do in the middle of nowhere?"
Irene "we have to try. we can't die out here"
Mick "you sed we?"
Irene "you are my son"
Mick "is this the end?"
The bike continues to pick up speed. words are becoming slurred in the cool night air. The ground is becoming dense and rocky. A light shower of rain begins to fall as the night becomes darker in every passing moment.

 

 

Marilyn and John's house
Marilyn is preparing dinner in the kitchen, when she hears a knock at the door.
Marilyn "Hi Leah"
Leah "have you seen Irene"
Marilyn "I thought she was on the late shift tonight"
Leah "Irene never showed up for her shift"
Marilyn "have you checked her house"
Leah "there was no answer"
Marilyn "let's go check again. Maybe there was an emergency"
Marilyn and Leah leave.
John "Marilyn, are you here?"
John walks out to the kitchen. There is a pot on the stove that starts to ignite in flame. John picks up a tea towel and starts waving it at the pot, to try and extinguish the flame. But the tea towel catches on fire and john is jumping around screaming. John throws the tea towel in the sink and pours cold water on top of it. breathing a sigh of relief. he then proceeds to turn the pot on the stove off.
John "Marilyn I thought you were cooking dinner?"
John looks around the house, before realizing he was talking to himself the whole time. John starts laughing to himself. John has a brain wave and races to the phone. John quickly dial the number for Salt.
Mason "Hi there, employee from salt speaking"
John "Mason, it's John Palmer here"
Mason "would you like to order your usual"
John "Marilyn has gone out for the night. So I want to order the meatiest pizza you have"
Mason "that would be meatlovers with extra meat"
John "I would like one of those please"
Mason "pickup or delivered?"
John "delivered please"
Mason "sure mate"
John "oh and Mason don't tell my wife"

I hope nothing happens to Irene. 

I wonder how Marilyn will react when she realises John had ordered dinner for himself.

Loved these two chapters! There's a lot going on here. 

Loved your joke about how loud Phoebe is and how Matt had to wait for his hearing to return to normal

Thought this was very poetic  Lovely use of language. Hope Irene's okay.

John taking the first opportunity he sees to order himself a meat lovers pizza was pretty funny, and Mason managed to be weird even in that phonecall (maybe it's just me reading it that way though, lol!) 

Hunter and Zac? Now that is an interesting development...

Chapter 8

Irene's house

Olivia "are you sure you won't regret this?"
Hunter "I am finally in a good place"
Olivia "this could change everything"
Hunter "It could also wreck everything, including us"
Olivia "I don't understand"
Hunter "If I'm not Zac's kid, I would have to leave the bay for good"
Olivia "you don't know that"

Marilyn and Leah arrive almost out of breath.
Marilyn "have either of you seen Irene?"
Olivia "No, we haven't"
Hunter "oh wait, here's a note. It was sitting on the coffee table"
Marilyn "The note read: gone to the city, family emergency, be back tomorrow"
Leah "what a relief"
Marilyn "yeah, I am so glad Irene is safe"

 

Marilyn & John's house

Marilyn "I am so sorry John, I had to run off before to find Irene"
John "Is she ok?"
Marilyn "yes, she fine, just took off to the city. Did you manage to finish dinner?"
John "about that?, It was on fire when I came out"
Marilyn "Wait! I left the stove on. I could of burnt the house down. I'm so embarrassed John".
John "I got out here, just in time to save the day. No damage done"
Marilyn "how about I order us a pizza. It's the least I could do."
John "No!, I mean how about you go run yourself a nice warm bath. You look exhausted and I will order us a pizza".
Marilyn "what did I ever do to deserve such an amazing husband"
John "just being you my dear"
John fumbles the phone almost dropping it because he was trying to make sure Marilyn wasn't in ear shot.
John dials the number for Salt.
Brodie answers the phone.
John "Is Mason there?"
Brodie "No, he's out delivering pizza"
John "I ordered before and I need to cancel that order and swap it for a vegetarian pizza."
Brodie "It's too late"
John "What do you mean?"
Brodie "Mason is already on his way to your house with your pizza"
John "can you just put in a order for a vegetarian pizza please"
Brodie "That's all"
John "yes"
John hangs up the phone.

Marilyn walks out to the lounge feeling refreshed. When she hears a knock at the door.
John races to the door.
John "sit down and relax. I can get the door"
Marilyn "oh John, now your just over fussing"
John answers the door.
Mason "your pizza is here"
Mason opens up the pizza box and whispers in john's ear "all meat, like you asked for"
John "I didn't order this, I ordered vegetarian"
Mason "I took the order. I think I would of remembered if....."
John dragged Mason outside before he could finish his sentence.
Mason "hey, what was that?"
John "sorry but change of plan. Marilyn arrived home early"
Mason "Oh"
John "so, can I get the second pizza I ordered please"
Mason "sure, but you still have to pay for this one"
John "but I can't eat it now"
Mason "you ordered it, you pay for it"
Marilyn "is that our pizza"
John "no, wrong order I'm afraid"
Marilyn "come inside out of the cold"
John "coming dear"

John hands Mason the money for the pizza.
Mason "you forgot to tip"
John looks at Mason grumbly.
Mason "unless you want Marilyn to find out you were cheating on your diet of course"
John "you wouldn't"
Mason "wouldn't I?"
John "how much?" john says through gritted teeth.
Mason "$20"
John "that's daylight robbery"
Mason "don't you mean night-time robbery"
John "don't get smart with me"
Mason "wouldn't dream of it"
John "just bring back the vegetarian pizza please"
Mason "pleasure doing business with you"
John "just go, before I take my money back"

Haha! Funny little bit between John and Mason. Enjoyed that. Mason did very well out of it, a free meatlovers pizza and a tip! Poor John, having to hide his carnivore ways!  I can understand Hunter's worries about Zac finding out, but does he know for sure that he isn't Zac's son? Wonder what's happened with Irene?
