Additional copycats come forward you mean?

Are you saying it's OK to slander the good name of a good, honest, hard-working man 50 years after it allegedly happened? And what about when Joan Ferguson was "proven" guilty because some nut accused her of such vile ****. Also why the hell do these so-called "victims" wait all these years before finally coming forward? Just how can you prove it especially after all this time??

I was going to reply to the above, but had to go and calm down first. Then I realized it would be a waste of time and anger.

In short, rape victims don't come forward because of people like you.

Personalised attacks are not the best way to deal with this. Unfortunately in today's society, there are many cases where victims won't come forward, due to whatever reason. You both present good cases, albeit not in the most politically correct way. Until he is tried and the Crown passes down their verdict, let's just hope that the truth is revealed, whatever that may be.

Oh my god.

You honestly believe that do you?  That people decide to make up stuff like rape for what?  The backlash? The condemnation they get? The people who don't believe them?

Any incident has to be investigated.  Where there is no proof or there is an inconsistent statement of facts cases don't go to court.

Now look at the cases that do make it to court.  A women (assuming no gender bias, because rape and sexual assault happens to men too) is on the stand recounting one of the most humiliating and degrading things to happen to her when some man forced her to have sex with him.   She then has to undergo questions like, what were you wearing, did you say no, did the defendant understand that you said no,  were you leading him on, how many sex partners have you had, do you like rough sex.   The man on the other hand, the defendant doesn't have to answer questions on how he likes his sex, in fact previous sexual related crimes are not allowed to be used in evidence.

Imagine being helpless. Imagine having a hand over your mouth and someone leaning close to you and say you'll enjoy it.  Imagine that person is a family friend or someone who you trusted.   To go through with telling anyone is hard. To tell the police and just see the look in someone's eyes when they don't believe you. When you don't want to believe it happened yourself. When you feel that telling anyone will break up lives, break up families and ruin people. When you fear that they will get to you again if you tell.  Go through that and then tell me that it's okay to have the attitude you do.

If you're going to give him the benefit of the doubt over his guilt then you have to have an open mind about her story.

You believe this Home And Away star is capable of such monsterous acts like putting his hand over someone's mouth and holding her down? It's bordering on prejudicial and defamatory for me to even be saying this on here, let alone feeding this fire extra oxygen.
