Blaxland 89 Posted March 4, 2016 Report Posted March 4, 2016 Any particular freeze frames from the ending stand out for anyone? Some of them have been quite funny with characters pulling dramatic or goofy expressions.
masterjai30 Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I liked the one where Steven and Dodge fell off the cliff and the freeze frame was the pair of them in midair.
patrick Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I loved the freeze frames full stop, it defined home and away, they should bring them back !!
Blaxland 89 Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Posted March 8, 2016 Some where timed so well. There a really funny one when Bobby is off on a date with Danny she turns round and sticks her thumb in the air with the best goofy expression. Also, once Dylan asked Marilyn how babies are made and Maz pulled the best face. I'm sure when they are like that the freeze last longer than others. morags done some great angry/smug ones. So did Diana Fraser. It's a shame that all these things that were identifiable with the show are gone. It would be like Esatenders getting rid of the Duff duffs.
Dan F Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 The beginnings of Irene's country & western storyline reminded me of this little gem: Spoiler There's been so many others over the years that it's difficult to remember specific ones.
beau_t Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I'm sure there have been seen some funny ones involving Fisher too, and I remember the one with a gobsmacked Ailsa seeing Curtis and Casey walk through the door, hours after being told they were dead!
alexx Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I think almost all of Irene's freeze-frames look quite comical/classic even if they're not supposed to.
beau_t Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Oh yes, the one with Irene and Selina's expressions after Damien announces he's going to become a priest
Blaxland 89 Posted March 14, 2016 Author Report Posted March 14, 2016 In the uk, sometimes the last scene was cut due to it being unsuitable for tea time viewing. So itv did boch jobs of the freeze frame. There was one up Pippa simply putting a cup of tea up to her mouth to drink it after having a regular conversation with Ailsa.
CaptainHulk Posted March 16, 2016 Report Posted March 16, 2016 Guess they got rid of those around the 2000 season as that kind of thing seemed passe. Neighbours kept theirs until 2002.
