smokinace Posted July 17, 2014 Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 CHAPTER 14 "Hey I think I just put my foot in it with Kyle" Denny said out of breath standing in the doorway of the Braxton house "Why, what happened?" Casey asked as he and Brax stood up "We were talking, I brought up his mum and went crazy" she replied They looked at Brax to see him on the phone "Kyle, call me when you get this message" Brax said and hung up the phone "Don't worry his isn't your fault" Casey assured Denny Brax grabbed his keys "Where are you going?" Casey asked "To fix ya girlfriends mess" Brax replied, he seemed angry "Do you know where he is?" Casey asked "Nah, but I got an idea" Brax replied "We'll come with you" Casey said "Don't you think she's done enough" Brax snapped "Do you blame her for this, Kyle is older than I am. He can look after himself" Casey argued "No he can't, he has a drug and alcohol problem and to make matters worse he doesn't know it" Brax told them "I know you like help with our problems, but maybe Kyle's beyond help" Casey said Brax said nothing as he got into his ute and drove off. He heard Kyle's phone ringing inside the van. "Kyle I can hear your phone" Brax called The door opened "What?" Kyle asked "You ok?" Brax asked "Peachy" kyke replied "Can I come in" Brax asked "I guess" "You've probably screwed up your job, you know that" Brax told him Kyle shrugged "So" "So? Mate, what happened, Denny said you went nuts" Brax said Kyle rolled his eyes "Nuts" said under his breath Brax saw a bottle of whiskey on the table with half it's contents gone Kyle sighed "I haven't been drinking" Kyle told Brax "Show me your arms" Brax asked "Are you kidding, no" Kyle replied as he walked outside "Kyle could you please stop" Brax called following him Kyle fell to his knees, Brax realised he was crying "Hey, it's ok. I was feeding the dog and dropped the can of dog food, it woke her up. She was so angry, she backhanded me across face and then started with the same usual bull****, I was worthless, that I ruined her life and that she only kept me because she thought maybe there was a chance that dad would stay with her, but he chose your mum and you guys, I don't blame him. Anyway she went to her bedroom and got her gun when she came back she aimed it at my head. I was sure she was gonna kill me" Kyle was saying "Why didn't she" Brax asked "Because I was so scared that I pissed myself, she laughed and said I wasn't even worth the bullet. Then she shot herself, after that I went into foster care. That was good, actually it was really good. A normal family. But I screwed it up" Brax put his arm around Kyle "Hey if you ever need to talk, I'm here" Brax told him "Thanks, but I'll be ok" Kyle replied "Listen I'm working Tonight, come to the restaurant and I'll shout you dinner" Brax said "I'm not a charity case" Kyle told him "This isn't charity, this is me not wanting you to be alone and there I can keep an eye on you" "I'm fine" Kyle replied "And I'm not asking you" Brax told him CHAPTER 17 UP SOON Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I totally overreacted" Kyle told her "No, you didn't, I had no right to pry into your personal life" Denny replied "So i guess I have to look for another job" Kyle said "Actually, I kinda covered for you" Denny replied "Thanks I guess" "Can we just start over tomorrow" Denny asked "Deal" he told her as she shook his hand "Get some sleep, cause tomorrow, I'm gonna work you hard" she said walking up to the counter to get her pizza CHAPTER 18 UP SOON Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
