Episode 26

The following morning (Thursday), Sally is telling Stephanie and Tiegan about her break-up with Vinnie.
Stephanie: You actually dumped Vinnie?
Sally: I had to. I've lost my love for him after his fling with Gypsy.
Tiegan: Gypsy is such a lowlife slag!
Sally: Enough of about her, though. I'm going back to the Bay on Saturday.
Stephanie: You sure about that?
Sally: Yes. I have to face Vinnie sooner or later.
Tiegan: Well, I think you did the right thing. Come here, Sal.
*Sally hugs Tiegan*
Stephanie: We're proud of you, Sally.
Sally: Thanks. I better get dressed.
*Sally goes upstairs*
Tiegan: You went to bed pretty late last night, Steph.
Stephanie: Oh, Nivea and I were up talking. We had a huge heart-to-heart.
Tiegan: Where is she by the way?
Stephanie: Still in bed, I think.
*Tiegan gets out her mobile phone*
Stephanie: What are you doing?
Tiegan: Giving a certain lowlife slag a prank call. *laughs*
Stephanie: Sally will kill you!
Tiegan: Just defending my foster sister. *puts the phone on her ear* Oh, hi Gypsy. I'm just letting you know that you're a man-stealing bitch! Bye! *hangs up the phone*
*Stephanie laughs*
Tiegan: Funny, wasn't it?
Stephanie: *still laughing* Yes.
(Later, Keisha is looking through the real estate section of the local paper when Pippa walks in)
Pippa: I'm going to head out for a few minutes. Are you okay looking after things here?
Keisha: Of course, Pippa. Before you go, I want to ask you something.
Pippa: What's that?
Keisha: Are you okay with me reconnecting with Stephanie?
Pippa: Don't be silly. Of course I'm okay with it. I mean, you are her birth mother after all.
Keisha: How long has Stephanie been living with you?
Pippa: She's lived with us for nearly two years.
Keisha: I'm actually thinking of moving here to be closer to Stephanie.
Pippa: I see.
Keisha: Thank you, Pippa. Thank you for taking my daughter in to live with you.
Pippa: No worries, Keisha.
*Cherie walks in*
Cherie: Pippa, would it be okay if I curled my hair?
Pippa: I don't see why not. Why do you want to curl your hair for, sweetheart?
Cherie: Jenny wanted me to curly my hair.
Pippa: I see. Well, you can curl it. Just don't burn yourself using the curling iron.
Cherie: Thanks, Pippa. *heads upstairs*
Pippa: I better head off. I'll be back soon.
Keisha: Bye.
*Pippa leaves as Nivea enters from outside*
Nivea: Mother?
Keisha: Yes, dear?
Nivea: Can I go to the Carrington Café with Steph?
Keisha: Nivea, I need to tell you something.
Nivea: What is it?
Keisha: I'm thinking of moving here to the Carrington Ranges.
Nivea: Really? *looks shocked*
Keisha: Would you like to come with me and go house hunting this afternoon?
Nivea: Can I please go with Steph?
Keisha: Sure.
Nivea: And then I'll come with you.
*Keisha smiles*

Ian arrives at the motel where Melissa is staying at. He has come to talk to her.
*Ian knocks on the door*
Melissa: Who is it?
Ian: It's me.
Melissa: *angrily* Go away, alright! I don't want to talk to you!
Ian: Can you just hear me out, love?
Melissa: No!
Ian: Please?
*Melissa opens the door with a scowl*
Melissa: Come in.
*Ian walks inside*
Ian: I apologise for Tiegan. She had no right barging in here the way she did.
Melissa: Some foster daughter you've got! Are they all emotionally disturbed?!
Ian: If that's a smart comment, keep it to yourself!
Melissa: Just what do you want, Dad?!
Ian: Melissa, I just want to sort things out.
Melissa: Do you?
Ian: Yes, I do.
Melissa: Why did you send me away?
Ian: I couldn't cope at the thought of being a single parent. The way I was after your mother died, I thought the best thing for you was to send you off to Whyalla with Aunty Sue and Uncle Raymond because I thought they would give you a stable home.
Melissa: You don't know what went down in that house.
Ian: What do you mean?
Melissa: *angrily* WHY DO YOU CARE?! YOU NEVER CARED FOR EIGHT YEARS, SO WHY CARE NOW?!
Ian: Melissa...
*Melissa breaks down in tears*
Melissa: If you knew what I went though, then maybe I could've come home!
Ian: What are you talking about?
Melissa: A friend of Uncle Raymond's used to visit the house a lot. He would always touch me when Uncle Raymond left the room.
Ian: Touch you where?
Melissa: *sobbing* He...
Ian: Go on, love.
Melissa: He abused me!
*Ian looks shocked*
Melissa: I was always abused by him. I didn't deserve it! That's why I hated you for so many years, Dad. I just wanted to be home with you!
Ian: Why didn't you tell me?
Melissa: I didn't think you cared.
Ian: I do, love. I always have.
Melissa: I wanted to tell Uncle Raymond, but I was scared.
Ian: Love, I'm sorry.
Melissa: Dad, please hold me.
*Ian puts his arms around Melissa*
(Back at the house, Tiegan is in the kitchen when Keisha and Nivea are about to meet up with the real estate agent)
Keisha: Can you let Stephanie know that Nivea and myself have gone out for a couple of hours please?
Tiegan: Sure. I'll let her know.
Keisha: Thanks. Come on, Nivea.
*Keisha and Nivea leave just as Matthew comes downstairs*
Matthew: How long is Cherie going to be in the bathroom for?
Tiegan: Is she STILL in there?
Matthew: It's been nearly two hours! I'm dying to go to the dunny!
*They hear Cherie scream loudly*
Tiegan: Cherie?
*Tiegan and Matthew race into the bathroom and find Cherie's hair all frizzy*
Cherie: I look like a freak!
*Tiegan and Matthew try hard not to laugh*

NEXT TIME ON LIFE AFTER SUMMER BAY

Episode 27

Tiegan and Matthew are cracking up laughing.
Tiegan: Cherie, that hairstyle really suits you.
Matthew: Yeah. You look like a mop!
Cherie: Shut up! I don't look like a mop!
Tiegan: I'm sorry to say this, but you do.
*Matthew and Tiegan continue laughing*
Cherie: IT'S NOT FUNNY!
*Stephanie arrives at this point*
Stephanie: Cherie, what did you do to your hair?
Cherie: I tried curling it.
Matthew: She looks like a mop!
*Tiegan and Matthew continue laughing as Cherie runs upstairs*
Stephanie: That wasn't funny, you guys! *looks unimpressed*
Tiegan: I'm sorry, Steph. I can't help laughing at her new hair.
Stephanie: She's 12. How old are you?!
Tiegan: Don't snap at me!
*Stephanie just walks upstairs*
Matthew: Can't people take a joke these days?
Tiegan: Apparently not.
(Elsewhere in town, Keisha and Nivea are looking at houses with the real estate agent.)
Keisha: How many bedrooms, Mr Smith?
Mr Smith: Three bedrooms, Mrs Mboto. Quite a spacious house, don't you think?
Nivea: I just wish there was a pool.
Keisha: Nivea, why do you want a house with a pool?
Nivea: So I can swim in it, Mother.
*Mr Smith laughs*
Mr Smith: This house doesn't have a pool unfortunately.
Nivea: Can we look somewhere else please?
*At the next house...*
Nivea: The kitchen is too small.
*At the house after that*
Nivea: The bathroom tiles are all mouldy.
*Keisha rolls her eyes*
Keisha: Why must you be so picky?
Nivea: Because I want a good house for us to live in.
*Three more houses later...*
Mr Smith: This is the last three bedroom house on the market. Shall we take a look?
Keisha: Yes.
*They enter the house and walk around inside before going outside*
Nivea: Wow! I love the pool!
Keisha: I figured you would say that, Nivea. *laughs*
Mr Smith: So, what do you think?
Keisha: This is a great house. Nivea, what do you think?
Nivea: I love it.
Mr Smith: Are we going to buy it?
Keisha: Yes.
Mr Smith: Sold.
*Keisha shakes Mr Smith's hand as Nivea smiles*

Later in the afternoon, Sally is in Tiegan and Stephanie's room packing her suitcase.
Stephanie: Sally, Pippa wants you.
Sally: I'll be there in a minute. I'm just packing the last of my belongings before I leave on Saturday.
Stephanie: Are you okay though?
Sally: I'll live. Is Cherie okay? She looked pretty upset.
Stephanie: She tried to curl her hair but it didn't go smoothly. Tiegan and Matthew didn't help matters by laughing at her.
Sally: That's slack.
Stephanie: Cherie is very upset about it.
Sally: I hope she'll be okay.
Stephanie: Me too.
*Keisha and Nivea enter*
Keisha: Stephanie?
Sally: I better go see Pippa.
*Sally leaves*
Stephanie: Where did you both get off to?
Nivea: We went to see the real estate agent. Guess what?
Stephanie: What?
Keisha: We're moving here.
*Stephanie looks happy*
Stephanie: You're moving to the Carrington Ranges?
Keisha: That's right, my love. You can visit us any time you want.
Stephanie: I'll have to arrange something with Pippa first. I could live with you guys on some weekends.
Keisha: Sounds good.
Nivea: Our family is back together.
*Stephanie, Nivea and Keisha hug*
(Meanwhile, Pippa is in the kitchen cooking dinner.)
Sally: Are you and Ian able to take me to the train station on Saturday?
Pippa: Of course, sweetheart.
Sally: That's good.
*the phone rings*
Sally: I'll get that. *picks up the phone* Hello? Yes, I'll get her for you. *to Pippa* Pippa, it's for you.
Pippa: Is that Ian? I hope things went well with him and his daughter.
Sally: No, it's a Mrs Bishop.
Pippa: I see. *takes the phone from Sally* Hello? Madge Bishop, is that you? I'm doing well. How are things in Erinsborough? Oh, that's good. The family is doing well. Are you still working at the Coffee Shop? Great. Listen, I'll have to come and visit you and Harold one day. No, I'll take the coach there. Well, it was great hearing from you. Take care, Madge. Bye-bye. *hangs up the phone*
Sally: Who was she, Pippa?
Pippa: Madge Bishop was friends with Nana Coral. She was like a surrogate aunt to me.
Sally: I see. When was the last time you saw Mrs Bishop?
Pippa: I think it was 1989.
Sally: Nearly ten years. That's great.
Pippa: I would go over to Erinsborough and see her, but Christmas isn't that far away and I've already made plans for the family.
Sally: You can always see her after Christmas.
Pippa: I think I'll do that. Thank you, Sal.
*Pippa hugs Sally*
(Tiffany Rongo watches through the window)
Tiffany: You'll pay for what you did to me, Pippa Routledge. You...WILL...pay! *looks angry*

Episode 28

On Saturday morning, Sally is getting the last of her things. She is returning to Summer Bay.
Pippa: Have you got everything?
Sally: Yes, I have.
Pippa: That's good.
Sally: It's a shame Ian can't send me off.
Pippa: He sends his love.
Sally: I hope things go well with him and his daughter.
*Sally looks at her foster siblings*
Sally: Well, I'll see you guys again soon.
Stephanie: Bye Sally.
*Sally and Stephanie hug*
Cherie: Goodbye.
Sally: Bye Cherie. I like your hair.
Cherie: Thank you.
*Sally and Cherie hug*
Tiegan: Call us on Christmas.
Sally: I will.
*Sally and Tiegan hug*
Sally: Say goodbye to Matthew and Jeremy for me.
Tiegan: We will.
Sally: I love you all. Bye.
*Sally and Pippa leave for the bus station*
Pippa: Are you sure you're okay to go back?
Sally: Of course, Pippa. It'll hurt, but it was for the best.
Pippa: Are you able to come for Christmas?
Sally: If not, I can always ring.
*Pippa stops the car and helps Sally get her suitcases out before she gets the coach back to Summer Bay*
Sally: I guess this is goodbye.
Pippa: Goodbye, sweetheart.
*Pippa hugs Sally tight*
Sally: I'll call you when I get back.
Pippa: No worries, Sal.
*Pippa watches on as Sally gets on the coach before it drives away*
(Back at the house, Cherie is out the back when Jeremy returns from exploring the town.)
Jeremy: Cherie?
Cherie: Oh hey, Jeremy.
Jeremy: I like your hair.
Cherie: Glad you think so. *sulks*
Jeremy: What's wrong?
Cherie: It looks disgusting! Everyone laughs at it!
Jeremy: Now, what did I tell you when people made fun of you?
Cherie: To ignore them and not give them any satisfaction.
Jeremy: That's right.
Cherie: I just wish people wouldn't make fun of my hair. It's not my fault it didn't turn out the way I wanted.
Jeremy: I know.
Cherie: I'll just have to get Pippa to take me to the hair salon.
Jeremy: I'll go with you.
Cherie: When?
Jeremy: Tomorrow.
Cherie: Oh, thanks.
*Cherie and Jeremy high-five*
(Meanwhile, Stephanie and Tiegan are talking in the living room)
Stephanie: Have you apologised to Cherie yet?
Tiegan: Yeah. She didn't accept it.
Stephanie: Can you blame her?
Tiegan: No. I shouldn't have made fun of her hair.
Stephanie: You wouldn't like it if she made fun of your analphabetism.
Tiegan: I know.
Stephanie: I still love you, though.
Tiegan: Same here, Steph.
*As they hug, Stephanie's mobile goes off*
Stephanie: I bet it's Mum or Nivea. *answers the phone* Hello?
Casey Mitchell: *over the phone* Steph, it's me.
Stephanie: Casey Mitchell?
Casey: That's me.
Stephanie: How have you been?
Casey: I've been good. I'm just on the Gold Coast at the moment.
Stephanie: Have you and your father relocated there?
Casey: Oh no. I'm just here for a holiday. In fact, I've got the whole place to myself.
Stephanie: That's great.
Casey: It can be quite lonely sometimes.
Stephanie: How long are you there for?
Casey: Dad's still in New York so I'll probably leave the day before Christmas.
Stephanie: That's great.
Casey: I was wondering if you and Tiegan would like to come to Surfers Paradise and come spend a few weeks up here.
Stephanie: I don't know yet, Casey. Pippa and Ian have already planned stuff for Christmas.
Casey: Joey can't come because of his schizophrenic episodes and Liam is still in Peru with his mother.
Stephanie: I'll see if Tiegan and I can arrange for some friends to come with us.
Casey: Let me know soon.
Stephanie: I will, Casey. It was great hearing from you.
Casey: Same here.
Stephanie: Take care now. Goodbye.
Casey: Bye.
*Stephanie hangs up the mobile*
Tiegan: What did Casey want?
Stephanie: She wants us to go visit her on the Gold Coast.
Tiegan: And?
Stephanie: And I'll have to ask Pippa and Ian.
Tiegan: I so want to go there.
Stephanie: Me too. Hey, I could bring Nivea along.
Tiegan: Great idea!
*Ian and Melissa walk through the door*
Ian: Hi girls.
*Tiegan glares at Melissa*
Tiegan: Oh, it's you!
Ian: Now, Tiegan. Be nice.
Tiegan: Nice? To her? Get real!
Melissa: Tiegan, I'm very sorry about our fight. I would really would like for us to start over.
Stephanie: Come on, Tiegz. She sounds sorry.
Tiegan: Fine. Apology accepted.
*Tiegan heads upstairs*
Ian: Give her time, love. She'll come around.
*Pippa arrives home*
Pippa: Oh, hello. I'm glad to see you two have sorted things out.
Ian: Sal got on the coach okay? *kisses Pippa*
Pippa: Yes, she did.
Melissa: Pippa, is there a place that we can talk in private?
Pippa: Of course, Melissa.
Stephanie: After that, can I ask you something too please Pippa?
Pippa: Yes, sweetheart. *to Melissa* Let's go outside.
*Pippa and Melissa head outside*
Pippa: What did you want to talk about?
Melissa: I just want to apologise for being cold towards you a few days ago. I shouldn't have let my anger get the better of me.
Pippa: That's okay, sweetheart.
Melissa: Can I tell you something about what happened to me in Whyalla?
Pippa: Go ahead.
Melissa: I was abused by my uncle's best mate.
*Pippa gasps in shock*
Pippa: Oh no.
Melissa: That's why I hated Dad for so many years. I wanted him to protect me.
Pippa: Do you forgive Ian?
Melissa: I do. As for the bastard that assaulted me, he can rot in hell for all I care!
Pippa: Is he the father of your baby?
Melissa: No. I found a nice man that knows about that horrible incident. We've been together for two years nearly.
Pippa: Are you okay though?
Melissa: I've still got a lot of emotional scarring. I just wish there was a counselling service in this town that I could go to and talk about what happened.
*Melissa breaks down crying*
Pippa: Come here, sweetheart.
*Melissa hugs Pippa*

That afternoon, Stephanie and Tiegan approach Pippa.
Stephanie: Pippa?
Pippa: Oh, I forgot you wanted to see me earlier. Sorry about that. I had to comfort Melissa.
Stephanie: Fair enough.
Pippa: Now, what did you want to ask me?
Tiegan: You remember Casey Mitchell?
Pippa: Yes, I do.
Tiegan: Well, she invited me and Steph to visit her at Surfers Paradise for Christmas.
*Pippa looks uncertain*
Pippa: I did have plans for Christmas this year.
Stephanie: We understand if you and Ian say no.
Pippa: How are you getting there?
Stephanie: We were going to fly up there.
Pippa: You can't afford that.
Tiegan: Casey will pay for our plane tickets.
Pippa: Well...
Stephanie: We won't go if you don't want us to.
Pippa: You both can go.
Stephanie: Excellent!
*Stephanie and Tiegan hug*
Pippa: Make sure you call us for Christmas.
Tiegan: We will!
*they race upstairs*
Stephanie: We get to go! I'm so excited!
Tiegan: Me too!
Stephanie: We should invite some of our friends.
Tiegan: Great idea.
Stephanie: I just hope Mum will let Nivea come.
Tiegan: I can't wait to go to Surfers Paradise!
Stephanie: This is going to be so much fun!
(Meanwhile, Tiffany is in a shack continuing to plot her revenge against Pippa and the rest of the family)
Tiffany: *to herself* You'll be sorry for turfing me away, Pippa! I will get the last laugh! *smirks before laughing*

Episode 29

That night, Stephanie and Tiegan are packing their bags for their holiday on the Gold Coast.
Tiegan: Do you know if Nivea is coming?
Stephanie: I haven't heard anything yet.
Tiegan: I can't wait to see some of the old gang.
Stephanie: Me too. Although it's a shame Steve Wiley isn't here. *sighs*
Tiegan: He was a good man.
Stephanie: I agree.
Tiegan: It's a shame Josh can't come either.
Stephanie: He had things to take care of in Mildura.
Tiegan: That's true.
*Nivea enters*
Nivea: Hey girls.
Stephanie: Ah, I was wondering where you got off to.
Nivea: Sorry. Mum and I had dinner at the Café.
Stephanie: So, did you ask her?
Nivea: I did.
Tiegan: And?
Nivea: And she said I could go.
Stephanie: Yes!
Nivea: As long as I'm chaperoned by you, Stephanie.
Stephanie: Fair enough.
Tiegan: This is so exciting! Surfers Paradise, here we come!
*The girls group hug*
(Meanwhile, Matthew and Michelle are making out on the lounge)
Michelle: Are you sure we won't get caught?
Matthew: Relax. Pippa and Ian won't be home for ages.
Michelle: I love you.
Matthew: Love you too.
*they resume kissing*
Michelle: I'm so glad you arrived in town. You are the only guy that has swept me off my feet.
Matthew: That's good. *smiles*
*They hear the key to the front door open*
Matthew: They're back!
*Michelle quickly races into the bathroom just as Pippa and Ian arrive home*
Pippa: We're back.
Matthew: Hi. I thought you guys weren't going to be home for ages.
Ian: Melissa was a bit tired so we didn't want to overdo things.
Matthew: How was the movie?
Pippa: It was good.
*Michelle comes out of the bathroom*
Michelle: Hi, Mr and Mrs Routledge.
Pippa: Hello, Michelle.
Michelle: I was just visiting Matthew.
Ian: Fair enough then.
Michelle: I better go. Bye, Matt.
Matthew: See ya.
*Michelle leaves*
Pippa: I hope you two didn't get up to any mischief while we were out.
Matthew: Of course not, Pippa.
Pippa: I'm glad to it. *smiles*
*Matthew smiles back*
Matthew: *thinking to himself* I'm such a good liar.

The next morning (Sunday), Stephanie, Tiegan and Nivea are packing their belongings into Pippa's car. Ian is taking them to the station as they are catching a coach to the airport.
Nivea: Is the Gold Coast anything like here?
Stephanie: No way! The Gold Coast is so much fun. There's plenty of things to do.
Tiegan: Yeah. Like Dreamworld, Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild...
Nivea: WHAT?! Wet'n'Wild doesn't have a world?! That's absurd!
*Stephanie and Tiegan try not to laugh*
Ian: Have you girls got everything?
Tiegan: Yeah, we do.
Stephanie: Yes.
Pippa: Have fun girls and stay safe.
Stephanie: We will, Pippa.
*Pippa hugs Stephanie*
Pippa: Call us when you arrive.
Tiegan: Of course.
*Pippa hugs Tiegan and Nivea*
Stephanie: See you in a few weeks, Pippa.
Pippa: Bye girls.
*Ian and the girls drive off as Pippa waves at them*
Cherie: *from inside* Pippa?
Pippa: Coming, Cherie.
*Pippa enters the house*
Cherie: Can Jeremy and I go to the hair salon?
Pippa: I take it that you're going to fix up your hair?
Cherie: That's correct.
*Jeremy comes downstairs*
Jeremy: We won't be long, Pip.
Pippa: Okay. Just be home for lunch.
Cherie: Thank you.
Jeremy: Let's go, Cherie.
*they leave the house*
Pippa: Bye.
*Pippa goes over to the living room and cleans up. As she's cleaning, she sees a moving van across the street from the window*
Pippa: Who could that be?
*Pippa goes outside and sees Roxanne Miller carrying a box*
Pippa: Roxy?
Roxy: Pippa Fletcher? How great to see you!
Pippa: What are you doing here? *hugs Roxy*
Roxy: I've moved here from Greece. I got a new job.
Pippa: Really? That's fantastic! Still teaching?
Roxy: Yes. In fact, I'm going to be the new principal at Carrington Ranges High.
*Pippa looks shocked*
Pippa: Congratulations, Roxy. I'm so happy for you.
Roxy: Thanks, Pippa. This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.
Pippa: Once you're settled in, come over for a coffee.
Roxy: I'll take you up on that offer. I'll be over either tomorrow or Tuesday.
Pippa: Take care now.
Roxy: I will. *heads into her new house*
*When Pippa enters the house, she hears the phone ring*
Pippa: *answering the phone* Hello? Oh, hi Leanne. What's that? Really? Oh, I see. *looks sad*
(When Ian returns home, he finds Pippa sitting at the table drinking coffee.)
Ian: Well, the girls got on the coach okay. Now, I would like to spend time with my beautiful...*notices Pippa's facial expression* Love, what's wrong?
Pippa: Leanne phoned me while you were out. It appears that Jeremy's parents want him home.
Ian: You're joking?!
Pippa: You know what's going to happen when Jeremy returns home. His mother is already an ice addict!
Ian: Well, we were only supposed to have Jeremy for three weeks until the department found him a permanent foster home.
Pippa: I know, but it seems that Mrs Bryant wants her son home for Christmas.
Ian: Drug users deserve nothing in my opinion!
Pippa: How are we going to tell Jeremy?
*Jeremy and Cherie arrive home at this point*
Jeremy: We're back.
Cherie: What do you think of my hair?
Pippa: I love it.
Ian: So do I.
Pippa: Sweetheart, why don't you go upstairs and show Matthew your new hairstyle? Ian and I need to talk with Jeremy.
Cherie: Okay. *heads upstairs*
Jeremy: Is something wrong?
Pippa: Miss Martin phoned.
Jeremy: Has she found a permanent home for me?
*Ian puts his arm around Jeremy*
Ian: Mate, your mother and father want you to come home.
*Jeremy looks angry*
Jeremy: I'm not going back to that hell hole!
Pippa: We understand that, sweetheart.
Jeremy: Dad is just a deadbeat loser, while Mum couldn't care less! The only thing she cares about is taking ice!
Ian: You don't have to go back to your parents if you don't want to, mate.
Jeremy: I refuse to go back home!
*the door knocks*
Ian: *angrily* Oh, who could that be?!
*Ian opens the door to find Leanne Martin with a skinny woman standing next to her*
Ian: Miss Martin, we weren't expecting you.
Leanne: I'm here to see Jeremy.
*Jeremy notices the skinny woman as his mother Julie*
Jeremy: Get that bitch away from me!
Julie: Hi, Jeremy. It's your mother.
Jeremy: I know who you are and I want nothing to do with you!
Julie: Please, let me...
Jeremy: And if you think that I'm coming home with you, forget it!
Leanne: Jeremy?
*Jeremy storms upstairs*
Julie: Oh, he hates me. *to Pippa and Ian* I'm Julie Bryant, by the way.
Ian: What do you want?!
Julie: I just want Jeremy to come home with me. *looks sad*
*Pippa and Ian look at each other with worry*

Episode 30

Jeremy is in Matthew's bedroom, looking out the window. Pippa enters the room.
Pippa: Are you okay, sweetheart?
Jeremy: I'm not going back there, Pippa. You can't make me.
Pippa: No one is making you go back and live with your parents.
Jeremy: Are you sure?
Pippa: Yes. If you tell Miss Martin that you don't want to go back home and live with your mum and dad, then so be it.
Jeremy: If only you knew what it was like.
*Pippa sits on the bed*
Pippa: Do you want to talk about it?
Jeremy: Yes. Mum abuses drugs all the time. She mostly takes ice. Not only that, she used to beat me and my siblings up all the time.
Pippa: What did your dad do about it?
Jeremy: That deadbeat! He didn't give a damn!
Pippa: How many siblings did you have?
Jeremy: I had two older brothers and one younger sister. My sister lives with a foster family somewhere up north, while I don't know where my two brothers are.
Pippa: That's sad.
Jeremy: I know. Now, do you see why I don't want to go back to my parents? *looks sad*
Pippa: Ian and I won't let that happen. But it's all up to you.
*Jeremy hugs Pippa tight*
Pippa: Are you ready?
Jeremy: Yeah.
*Pippa and Jeremy head downstairs*
Leanne: Have you made a decision yet, Jeremy?
Jeremy: I'm not coming home.
*Julie looks shocked*
Julie: No! *starts to cry*
Jeremy: Sorry Mum, but I'm not going back.
Julie: Jeremy, I promise things will be different this time.
Jeremy: You say that every time. We all know that's a lie!
*Julie is sobbing*
Ian: Well, it seems that Jeremy's mind is made up.
Julie: It's not fair! I just wanted to bring him home to me.
Leanne: I'm very sorry, Julie. You tried.
*Julie continues to sob*
Ian: I think you should take your leave.
Julie: No! *wails*
Jeremy: Stop bloody crying, Mum! You're embarrassing! It's bad enough Alicia got taken away because of your pathetic drug habit!
Julie: *yelling through her tears* I'm trying to change!
Jeremy: You say that every time us kids get put into foster care. Well, you've lost all of your kids now. Hope you and Dad are happy!
*Jeremy heads upstairs, just as Julie goes to grab him*
Julie: Jeremy, please come back!
*Pippa and Ian hold her back*
Julie: GET OFF ME! I WANT MY SON BACK!
Pippa: Look, Julie. Can you just go?! He doesn't want to have anything to do with you. Surely you can see that!
Julie: Oh, what would YOU know?! You're just a pish posh foster mother that thinks she knows best! I hate you!
Leanne: Come on, Julie. Let's go.
Julie: NO! I'm not leaving until Jeremy comes back!
Leanne: You're not going to help matters by carrying on like this, Julie. I know it's hard, but in the long run Jeremy is where he needs to be.
Julie: *sobbing* You were meant to help me!
Leanne: I'll take you home.
*As Leanne puts her arm around Julie, she completely snaps*
Julie: JEREMY! Please come back to me, Jeremy! PLEASE! *sobs*
*Pippa heads upstairs and sees Jeremy sitting on top of the stairs crying*
Pippa: Come here, sweetheart.
Jeremy: It had to be done.
*Pippa and Jeremy hug as Julie continues screaming out his name*
(At the Carrington Café, Keisha is eating a slice of banana cake when Roxy walks in.)
Roxy: Excuse me?
Keisha: Yes?
Roxy: Are you friends with Pippa?
Keisha: Why, yes I am.
Roxy: Brilliant. I'm Roxanne Miller.
Keisha: Keisha Mboto.
Roxy: Nice to meet you.
Keisha: Pippa did mention that you know her from the days when she lived in Summer Beach.
Roxy: Summer Bay.
Keisha: Same thing.
*Ursula approaches Keisha*
Ursula: What did you think of the banana cake?
Keisha: It was delicious, Ursula.
Ursula: You're not saying that just because I'm friends with Steph, right?
Keisha: I thought it was delicious.
*Ursula smiles*
Ursula: That's good, then. *to Roxy* Hi, you new in town?
Roxy: Yes. I'm Roxanne Miller. I'll be the new principal at Carrington Ranges High from next year.
Ursula: That's awesome!
Roxy: I can't wait to get started. All I need to do is make friends.
Keisha: You have me.
Ursula: And me.
Roxy: Isn't that sweet? I've made friends already.
*Keisha smiles*
(When Matthew returns home from the youth centre, he sees Julie sitting on the patio lounge still sobbing.)
Matthew: Is Jeremy's mother STILL here?!
Pippa: She's been sitting there for nearly two hours, crying her heart out.
Matthew: Where's Miss Martin?
Ian: She went to the bathroom.
Matthew: I hope she gets rid of her soon.
Ian: A bit hard when someone refuses to leave!
Pippa: Now don't get angry, Ian.
Ian: I hate drug users!
*Leanne comes out of the bathroom*
Leanne: I'm really sorry about this.
Pippa: That's alright, Leanne.
Leanne: I'll try and get her into the car now.
*Leanne goes outside*
Leanne: Julie, I'm going to take you home.
Julie: Not without Jeremy. *breathes heavily*
Leanne: I'm sorry, but Jeremy has made his mind up.
*Julie continues to sob*
Leanne: Let's get in the car and go home.
Julie: No! I want Jeremy to come home to me!
*Leanne and Pippa drag Julie to the car*
Julie: NO! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE! I WANT JEREMY HOME! JEREMY! JEREMY!
*She is placed into the back seat*
Pippa: Lock the door.
Leanne: I childproofed the car in case she tries to get out.
Julie: *banging on the window while crying* LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! I WANT JEREMY!
Leanne: I better go. Again, I'm sorry about all of this drama.
Pippa: It's quite alright, Leanne.
*Leanne gets into her car as Julie wails in the back seat*
Leanne: We'll keep in touch.
*Leanne drives away as Julie continues screaming and crying*
Pippa: Well, that's Julie gone.
Jeremy: Thank god. I thought the cow would never leave.
*the phone rings*
Ian: Hello? Yes, she's here. I'll get her now. Pip, it's your friend.
Pippa: Right. *takes the phone of Ian* Hello? Madge, hi. How are you? That's good. What's this? You want to visit me for Christmas? Sure, I'll have no problems arranging that. I'll just give you the address now.
Jeremy: Who's Midge?
Ian: Madge was like a surrogate aunty to Pippa.
Jeremy: I see.
Pippa: I can't wait to see you. Thanks for you call, Madge. Bye. *hangs up the phone* Well, I've got some good news. Madge Bishop is coming to visit.
Ian: Really? When?
Pippa: She arrives next week. Harold decided to spend Christmas with his son.
Ian: Great. I'll have to fix the spare room up for her.
Pippa: That won't be necessary as she'll be sleeping in Tiegan and Stephanie's room as they are in Surfers.
Ian: I totally forgot about that. I just hope they arrive safe.

Meanwhile, in Surfers Paradise...
*Casey is on the phone to someone*
Casey: This is going to be so awesome! I just can't wait for them to come. It sucks that you couldn't come, though. I know, I know. You've been having really bad schizophrenic episodes. That's not your fault. Anyway, I hope you get better soon. Love ya, Joey. Take care now. Alright, bye. *hangs up the phone*
*Casey picks up a photo of her, Stephanie and Tiegan*
Casey: *to herself* It'll be just like the good old days.
(Speaking of Stephanie, Tiegan and Nivea, they are waiting for a bus outside the Gold Coast Airport to take them to Surfers Paradise)
Nivea: Where do we go from here?
Stephanie: Casey said to meet her at the Paradise Shopping Centre.
Tiegan: I hope we can find it and not get lost.
Stephanie: Casey said she would wave once she saw our bus.
Tiegan: When are the rest of the gang arriving?
Stephanie: Tomorrow or Tuesday.
Nivea: This is going to be awesome.
*they see a bus going to Surfers*
Stephanie: Let's get on the bus. Casey said that the shopping centre is located on Cavill Avenue.
Tiegan: Sweet. Let's do this.
*the girls board the bus*
Stephanie: I'm so glad this bus is air conditioned.
Nivea: Me too. I couldn't stand being in that heat any longer.
Tiegan: I can't wait to explore this city!
*A few minutes later, they see Casey wave at them as the bus stops near their destination*
Stephanie: There she is.
*Stephanie, Tiegan and Nivea get off the bus*
Stephanie/Tiegan: CASEY!!!
Casey: Hi. It's been such a long time!
*Stephanie and Casey hug*
Stephanie: It sure has.
*Casey then hugs Tiegan*
Casey: I like your hair, Tiegz.
Tiegan: Thanks, Casey. You're looking pretty good yourself, too.
Casey: And who's this? *smiles at Nivea*
Nivea: I'm Nivea Mboto. Stephanie's half-sister.
Casey: Half-sister? *looks at Stephanie*
Stephanie: I'll explain later.
Casey: I'll take your luggage and put it in the car.
Tiegan: You drive?
Casey: Yeah. I'm on my L's. Girls, I'm so excited! This is going to be a fantastic time! *walks away*
*Stephanie puts her arms around Tiegan and Nivea and they start giggling*
