Chapter 11.

Ruby and Casey had just returned with Hayden from a weekend vacation.

When they got home they heard Claire was in hospital.

Ruby called Charlie.

“Hello?” Charlie asked

“Hi Mum” Ruby responded

“Oh Ruby how was your vacation?” Charlie asked

“Fine but Mum we just heard” Ruby said

“Oh” Charlie responded

“Is Claire going to be ok?” Ruby asked

“Yes honey Claire’s going to be fine” Charlie responded

“We’ll come to the hospital later “Ruby said

“Sid has already released her” Charlie responded

“Ok then will come over later” Ruby said

“You don’t have to you and Casey should rest” Charlie responded

“Mum she’s my sister and I want to see her” Ruby responded

“I love you “Ruby said

A short time later Casey, Ruby and Hayden went to visit Claire and Darcy.

“Darcy” Hayden said

“Hey” Darcy responded she bent down and hugged Hayden.

Hayden squeezed Darcy.

“Hayden let go” Casey said

Chapter 12.

Ruby and Casey visited with Charlie for a while.

Darcy was looking after Claire and Hayden while Ruby and Casey visited with Charlie and Brax.

When it was time to go Hayden didn’t want to leave Darcy and Claire.

“Hayden we have to go,” Ruby said.

Hayden shook her head

“Maybe she can stay the nigh.t I think someone missed Hayden,” Charlie said.

Ruby noticed Claire slip up next to Hayden and take her hand,

“No Go,” Claire said.

“If it’s ok with you two?” Casey asked looking at Brax.

“It’s fine with me,” Brax responded.

“Me too,” Charlie said.

“Ok Mummy and Daddy will be back for you tomorrow,” Ruby told her daughter.

Hayden squeezed her mum hard then she squeezed her Dad even harder.

“Bye,” Hayden said.

“Darc, can you watch the girls for a sec?” Brax asked.

Darcy nodded.

“She’d make a great big sister,” Ruby said.

“Yeah too bad both of her parents are dead,” Brax responded.

“Have you heard from Esther?” Casey asked

“No, not since Darcy moved in with us. I was thinking of going and getting the rest of Darcy’s stuff tomorrow,” Brax responded.

Casey nodded.

“Come on Case, we have the whole house to ourselves so we better get moving,” Ruby said.

Casey rolled his eyes and waved to Charlie and Brax.

Chapter 13.

“Wow that was fun let’s go again,” Ruby said.

“Do we have too?” Casey groaned.

“Yes we don’t have to get Hayden for ages,” Ruby responded.

Ruby took Casey’s hand and dragged him towards the roller coaster.

“Why aren’t we doing this with Hayden?” Casey asked.

“Because Hayden wanted to stay with Claire,” Ruby responded.

“I know I think they will get into trouble together when they're older,” Casey said.

“Probably,” Ruby responded.

“Now let’s go on that roller coaster,” Casey said.

“We’re acting like children,” Ruby responded.

“I know but our daughters are not here so we don’t have to act like adults,” Casey said.

“I’ll race you,” Ruby responded.

“Ok, I’ll beat you,” Casey said.

10 minutes later.

“Beat ya,” Ruby said.

“Well what’s this?” Brax asked.

“Oh we didn’t think you’d be here,” Casey responded.

“Hayden and Claire wanted to come,” Brax said.

“Well we better go,” Ruby said.

Casey and Ruby waited in line for the roller coaster.

Chapter 14.

Casey and Ruby enjoyed their day at the amusement park. Now they’re on their way to collect Hayden.

“Well that was fun,” Casey said.

“Yeah I think we rode that same rollercoaster like 9 times,” Ruby responded.

“Glad we went to the amusement park,” Casey told Ruby.

“Yeah, me too,” Ruby responded.

Casey pulled in to Brax and Charlie’s driveway.

“Mummy,” Hayden said.

“Hey little munchkin,” Ruby responded. She bent down to pick Hayden up.

“Did they enjoy their day at the amusement park?” Casey asked.

“Yeah,” Brax smiled.

“Was she a good girl?” Ruby asked.

“Yeah,” Charlie responded.

Ruby carried Hayden out to the car.

Chapter 15.
When they got home Ruby tucked Hayden in.
“I think we have a little star in the making,” Casey said.
“Yeah I think we do, I wonder if she will still be able to sing like that when she is 15,” Ruby responded.
“Well you can sing so I think Hayden will have the singing voice of her mother,” Casey said.
“Yeah but you can sing too,” Ruby responded.
“No I can’t,” Casey responded.
“Yeah you can,” Ruby shot back.
“No,” Casey responded.
They were interrupted by a knock at the door.
Casey opened the door and was surprised to find Xavier on the other side.
“GET OUT!” Casey shouted before slamming the door in Xavier’s face.
Casey ran up to his and Ruby’s room. He couldn’t stop the tears from falling down his face.
Ruby left Casey to it but she didn’t open the door when there was another knock.
Xavier gave up and thought he’d try his luck with Brax.
Brax wasn’t at the restaurant and they weren’t home.
“Xavier, what are you doing here?” A female voice asked.
Xavier turned around and found April.
“Uh,” Xavier responded.
“You shouldn’t even be back. The Braxton’s banned you after you killed Heath,” April said.
“Uh,” Xavier said again.
“You tried to see them didn’t you?” April asked.
“Uh Yes,” Xavier whispered.
“You better go before Charlie and Brax realize you’re back in town,” April said.
Xavier jumped in his car and drove off.
“Casey are you ok?” Ruby asked.
“No, he killed Heath,” Casey responded.
“April just called. She told Xavier to leave town,” Ruby said.
“Did he try to see Brax and Charlie?” Casey asked.
“Probably, but good thing they're not home,” Ruby responded.
The last few days were hard for Casey and Ruby even though they knew Xavier had left town. They we’re scared he would pop up again.
