Guest Posted December 20, 2011 Report Share Posted December 20, 2011 Thanks everyone here is the next chapter hope it's ok Chapter 7 Finally the party was over Heath took Melanie and left after bidding goodbye to everyone. Once they got home Melanie just wouldn’t settle. Heath was up with her the whole night. “Shh” Heath said Finally Melanie fell asleep Heath wasn’t sure because Melanie never knew her all that well but for some reason he thought maybe Melanie was missing Darcy he knew when Melanie was older she would ask about Darcy but for now he was going to enjoy being like a father to Melanie Heath put Melanie in her cot and sits in the chair next to her at some point Heath feel asleep Melanie started to cry Heath jottled awaked forgetting that he had fallen asleep in a wooden chair. Heath picked up Melanie feed her and changed her then rocked her until she fell asleep. Heath went to bed It had been a long day Heath had never looked after a baby before he was never around when Darcy was younger. Heath climbed into bed and cried for Darcy oh how he missed her. Late in the morning there was a knock on the door Heath was just finishing feeding Melanie The knock came again Heath picked up Melanie and opened the door Tegan was at the door “What do you want?” Heath asked “I’m here to see my daughter” Tegan replied “You’re daughter’s dead remember?” Heath asked “Oh well I’m here to see my granddaughter” Tegan responded “No now please get out of my house” Heath said He slammed the door in her face. Heath decided he would ignore it as he also knew it was Tegan. “Go Away Tegan” Heath called out. The knocking on the door continued followed by a males voice. “Let me in” the voice said. Heath got up and made his way over to the door,opening the door to find Casey on the other side. “Sorry I thought you we’re Tegan, she was here earlier” Heath said letting Casey inside, closing the door behind him. “Oh what did she want?” Casey asked. “To see Darcy it’s like she forgot she’s dead” Heath responded “Did she leave after that?” Casey asked “No she then wanted to see Melanie” Heath answered recalling his conversation earlier with Tegan. “Did you let her?” Casey asked “No I slammed the door in her face” Heath responded “Oh good job” Casey said with a smile. “Enough about me how is Hayden, have you told her about the twins yet?” Heath asked as Casey nodded. “Yes and she’s really excited” Casey replied with a smile. “Oh cool. Guest Posted June 29, 2012 Report Share Posted June 29, 2012 Thanks Phoebe and thank you Zetti for proof reading it Here is the next chapter Chapter 9 Casey was just about to leave Heath’s place when Heath interrupted him. “Hey can you stay for a bit longer?” Heath asked “Sure” Casey said “Sorry I would like to go visit Darcy’s grave and I was hoping you could look after Melanie since she is too young to go with me” Heath said hoping Casey would agree and managed a weak smile when Casey nodded. “No problem you might want to take an umbrella it’s pouring out there” Casey responded Heath laughed easing his tension. “Yes chief” Heath responded Heath opened the door and left with Casey following close behind. After an hour Casey’s phone rung. “Hello?” Casey asked “Hi Casey where are you?!” Ruby practically yelled. “Sorry I went to visit Heath and he wanted to visit Darcy’s grave so I have to babysit Melanie” Casey responded “Oh” Ruby said “Honey is there something wrong?” Casey asked Just as the door opened and Heath walked in “I’m in labour” Ruby said “Okay Heath just got back I’m on my way” Casey told Ruby Casey hung up “What was that about?” Heath asked “Can’t really talk Ruby just went into labour” Casey responded Heath nodded “Let’s go” Heath said as he grabbed the keys to the truck. Casey followed closely behind freaking out The drive to Casey’s house was quiet. Casey ran in grabbed Ruby and Hayden and jumped back into the truck “DRIVE!” Casey yelled at Heath Heath didn’t really like being yelled at but Ruby was about to have twins he drove as fast as he could to the hospital without breaking the speed limit “I really hope I don’t get caught” Heath muttered “Shut up!” Casey said Just then they arrived at the hospital Casey helped Ruby out of the truck leaving Heath alone to deal with Hayden “Uncle Heath what is going on?” Hayden asked “Mummy is going to give you twin sisters soon” Heath replied Hayden nodded “I hope they are nice” Hayden responded Heath nodded not knowing what to say to her.
