I love the opening credits, they could also make them more like the early years credits too, with a similar sounding theme song male and female vocals, I would love to see that happen.

I don't miss the long opening credits - there's no point sitting through them when you've seen them 100 times. I like getting straight into the action and at the moment the "Previously" music as well as the opening shot of the beach is a nice establishing package to get you into the mood.

Yup, 30 seconds is perfectly reasonable. Without opening credits, Home and Away doesn't really have an identity.

If the song was re-introduced at 30 seconds, I think it'd be nice if they tweaked the lyrics of the first verse, leading into the usual "Hold me in your arms" part. That way, it'd be more of an original version than a standard 'cover'..and it may mask the feeling of the theme having been 'cut in half'.

If I re-wrote it for a shorter version, it'd probably go something like this...

I think we may belong together,

(cos) I hope to be with you forever, (or maybe, "near you"?)

and despite these troubled shores

I wish only (I wish ooooonly)

to be yours (To be youuuuurs)

Hold me in your arms

Don't let me go

I want to stay forever

Home and Away

with you each day...

You know we belong together (this part is a solo, by the person who 'didn't' sing the first verse.... as a kind of "I feel the same about you")

i said really quick opening title that go for like 10 seconds similar to that in 2009.

The original theme wasn't THAT long. If you keep the recaps down to the parts that actually MATTER, there's more room for episode.

After all these years whitout opening credits I still miss them. I hope they will bring them back for the 25th birthday.

My favorite opening credits was during 2004-2006 when the entire cast would be playful with each other. It always make me smile when I see them messing around and with the theme song.
