Miranda Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 I wanted to say thanks to all the BTTB members who have encouraged me with the fanfictions I have written over the last couple of years. Before I joined BTTB I'd never had the courage to let anyone read my stories, but due to the encouragement from people here, I found the confidence to send some of my non Home and Away stories off to a publisher. As a result, some are being published in paperback soon! If you would like to find out about them, please PM me and I'll give you details- you can download them as e-books as well. But anyway, thanks for the support! Very, very much appreciated. My real name isn't Miranda, its Catherine.
-Kevin- Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Wow, Catherine, that really is amazing! I am really happy for you, well done
John Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 That is really fabulous Catherine. All the best with the publication.
Zetti Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 That is fantastic Catherine! I look forward to finding out about them
Miranda Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Thanks all BTTB has been a massive part of my writing life, I gained so much 'know how' when writing fan fiction here. Of course my books could be massive flops, but I don't care, actually. At least I've had books published in my life
HAA Girl 08 Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Congrats, Catherine! That's an amazing achievement to have your own book published! All the best.
matticus01 Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 wow congrats Catherine... I feel the same but havent sent any off lol... maybe I should give it a go too!
Miranda Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Thanks to you both too Yes, Matticus, give it a go! I am about to write a guide to 'how I got my book published' on www.wikinut.com, so I'll give you the link. Publishing is in a state of revolution and turmoil at the moment, and there are many different ways to get published rather than the traditional 'send off your book and wait 6 months' route.
Inactive User Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Wow congratulations, Catherine! Well done! x
