Chapter Three He stood at the side of the motor-way with his thumb going up every minute a car would pass by. The sun was splitting the stones, the heat was getting too much for the young man. Finally, after an hour and a half of trying to get a ride, a truck-driver pulled over. “Where you off to, young man?” the driver asked the man “Summer Bay” the man answered grabbing his things “Hop in! I'm heading that way.” The man smiled, got into the truck and the driver drove down the motor-way full speed. He would finally get to see her very soon after two long years, he thought to himself getting comfortable in the chair with the air conditioning blowing in his face. * * * * * Nicole took a deep breath as she approached Irene’s house. She wasn’t sure what mood Geoff would be this morning after their fight the night before. The door was open and Irene was cooking in the kitchen. She said hello and said Geoff was in his bedroom. “Geoff” Nicole said, lightly tapping the door “Can I come in?” The door sung open immediately. Geoff looked at Nicole and hugged her, apologising for his behaviour. “I shouldn‘t have lashed out like that…” “No, no” Nicole said, pulling away “I shouldn‘t have been so harsh towards Ruby. It‘s just…” “What? Just what, Nic?” Geoff asked, as they walked into Geoff’s bedroom and sat on the bed. “She acted so nice yesterday but was horrible to me yesterday morning…” “Didn‘t you say Charlie gave out to her?” Geoff questioned as he looking for a shirt to wear for the day “Oh yes, maybe that‘s why.” Nicole thought “Never thought that could be the reason” “What do you say to inviting her to the beach today?” Geoff asked for an honest opinion. “That would be a good idea” Nicole smiled “Always nice to have more friends!” Geoff put his shift on as Nicole eyed up his muscles lying on his bed. He got on top of Nicole, beginning to kiss her on her soft lips. Time went on afterwards, they left Irene’s to go and see Ruby. * * * * * Belle stretched her arms before pulling her blankets off her and getting out of bed. She went into the living area, turned on the television and planned to relax for a couple of hours. “Doll, is that boyfriend of yours ever going to go home?” Irene laughed, coming in and sitting beside her. “I‘m sure he will, eventually. What can I say, just loves my bed more than his own” Belle beamed switching on Tom and Jerry. “You‘d swear you were 7 years old, not 17 years old” Irene chuckling at what she had turned on “What else does be on at this time on a Saturday morning?” Belle asked, waiting for a response “Good question, nothing.” Irene replied walking into the kitchen area “What are your plans for today?” “Just relaxing and the beach for the afternoon” Belle replied as she began to hear her phone ring. Belle grabbed it and answered it “Hello?…Hello?” she said. After a few seconds, the person hung up. “Ughh” Belle raged slamming her phone on the table “Who was that?” Irene asked appearing behind the wall “I don‘t know” Belle replied annoyed “Someone kept calling and I kept missing it but this time I didn‘t and they don‘t speak” “Couple of kids messing around?” Irene suggested “How would little kids get my number though?” Belle asked leaving Irene puzzled Whoever the person was, they were getting to Belle. Ringing so much the past couple of days and when she finally picks up, nobody speaks. This was driving her up the walls. She needed to remain calm, today was supposed to be a relaxation day. * * * * * Charlie opened the door of her house to see Geoff and Nicole standing there. She invited them in and went off to get Ruby. Ruby appeared down the stairs after a couple of minutes. She sat on the last step of the stairs. “Hey guys!” she replied with a friendly smile. “Hey Ruby” Geoff said “We were just thinking would you like to come to the beach with us and our friends later?” “It would be a great chance for us to all get to know each other” Nicole suggested “And would give me an opportunity for me to apologise to you” “Nicole, you don‘t need to apologise” Ruby smiled kindly “And I‘d love to come to the beach with you guys” “Well we are going down about noon, that work for you?” Geoff asked looking at the time which read half ten. “Yep, that works. I shall see you down there then” Ruby replied as she came down the stairs to open the door, letting her guests out. “See you there” Nicole smiled and walked out of the house followed by Geoff. Ruby shut over the door and ran up the stairs to get ready. Her plan was falling into place. Ever since she saw Geoff in the diner, she was attracted to him. He was gorgeous and she wanted him to be hers. Not Nicole’s…hers. And she would do just about anything to get with him, even that means faking her personality and pretending to be friends with Nicole… Preview: Reveal hidden contents - The gang head to the beach for the afternoon. - Someone is spying on Belle.

Red Ranger 1 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Hmm.Something tells me that that hitch-hiker is the guy that keeps calling Belle...Glad that Geoff and Nicole made up, shame it's resulted in them both getting the wrong idea about Ruby...
