Roo Stewart - Justine Clarke & Georgie Parker

Ruth is away so much these days it feels like she is no longer on the show. 

In fact since Maddy left  her character has somewhat felt redundant.

It's a very strange show at the moment to have so many characters just floating around aimlessly with no purpose or nothing to add or as you say, barely seen. 

 I haven't seen it to this degree in any other soap.

I did not miss Roo when she was visiting her mum. I honestly can't think of anything she has done since getting back and now not missing her since she has been visiting Duncan.

Karl, Susan, Paul, Toadfish all mix well with the new characters and still are in it just as much as any others characters.

Based on what I’ve read here, sounds like Georgie was just cast for the sake of being cast. The writers had 15 + years of storyline to explore with the Roo character but it sounds like they didn’t. Such a shame and a waste.

They wanted Justine, couldn't get her. Wanted Roo back in the show, hence she was cast.

I just feel she is running out of steam now and it’s starting to feel like she has run her course .

Based on what I’ve read, her storylines could’ve been prolonged by including elements of what happened when she was away. Sounds like she is only there now  as a supporting acter for Alf. I wouldn’t be surprised if something ridiculous happens like Frank returns and they run off into the sunset together...then she starts getting haunted by Bobby’s spirit and ends up in a mental institution.
