Tiammi Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Patrick Swayze has died from pancreatic cancer, aged 57. The actor's publicict Annett Wolf said that he passed away with his family by his side on Monday. The Dirty Dancing star was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2008 and has since undergone chemotherapy. "Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said Wolf in a statement.
Di Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 He was looking much better in recent weeks too. RIP Patrick Swayze
jenlee Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 This is so sad. I'm having a Patrick tribute tonight with Dirty Dancing, Point Break, and The Outsiders. Rest in peace, Patrick.
Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Sadly, the only film of his that I've seen is Ghost. Guess it's time I borrowed Dirty Dancing. RIP Patrick.
Lise Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I don't think I've seen any of his movies but I should really get some of them out. He had been looking really sick for a while now. RIP Patrick.
Pierced Musie Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I don't think I have ever been so gutted about a star dying. This is so sad. I'm having a Patrick tribute tonight with Dirty Dancing, Point Break, and The Outsiders. If there is one Swayze film you should watch it is Roadhouse. A lesser known movie but was one of his best films
stephyrose4 Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 This is just terrible. R.I.P Patrick Swayze.
jenlee Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I don't think I have ever been so gutted about a star dying. This is so sad. I'm having a Patrick tribute tonight with Dirty Dancing, Point Break, and The Outsiders. If there is one Swayze film you should watch it is Roadhouse. A lesser known movie but was one of his best films I've only seen about half of Roadhouse but I loved it. I'm going to have to track it down so I can watch the rest of it. I haven't been this sad over a star's death, either, Musie. He was so talented and he brought to life one of my favourite fictional characters as well as being so great in every other movie ... it's so sad.
emmasi Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I don't know if it's appropriate to be referencing "Ghost" when someone's just died, but it's definitely my favouite Patrick Swayze movie, and one of my favourite movies of all time. So... R.I.P. (for real), Sam Wheat
Miranda Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 That is so sad, poor man and his poor family. He was quite a nice guy in real life, I heard. Dirty Dancing is one of my favourite films ever
